I stayed here for 10 days in 2008 and loved it for its location, friendly and very competent staff, and cleanliness, as well as great breakfasts! So, back here again in 2009 for 2 weeks for another thoroughly enjoyable visit. Bill & Edith, the owners, are wonderful people, as are Edith's sisters who help run the hotel. I never had...

We were aware of the credit card fee, so we decided to pay our bill in cash. Our bill for 6 nights (70,000 pesos/night), including two excellent island tours, came to 599,775. This also included a 10% gratuity, which I have never seen on a hotel bill; however, we didn’t argue it. We didn’t have enough pesos left, so paid...

The place is nice and clean although noisy since it is close to the main street. We reserved via email and thanks god we kept the copy. The bill at the end was 50% higher, plus a 10% service charge (it is customary in Chili but not on hotels), plus a 10% surcharge for paying with credit card (it is...

After a few nights at a guesthouse -- which was booked for the remainder of our trip -- we moved to Tauraa. The hotel is clean with spacious rooms centered on a garden. the staff seemed very nice and were friendly. However the hotel is a bit noisy with dogs barking at night & roosters crowing in the early morning....

Owners Bill and Edith were both away during our stay but the hotel was more than ably run by a number of Edith's sisters, one of whom met us at the airport. Very clean, airy rooms, superb cooked breakfasts with variety every day, and a terrific location only 10 minutes' walk from the harbour area. The hotel organises its own...

Bill and Edith the owners are fantastically welcoming hosts, endlessly patient with our many questions and far exceeded our expectations. The guest house is clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are superb and varied daily to suit all preferences. Bill's tours of the island are great, his informative and enthusiastic attitude make them really enjoyable. We certainly would recommend staying here...

We had a great stay. They picked us up at the airport and welcomed us with a fresh fruit smoothie. Breakfasts were full and satisfactory, it's the kind of place where they chide you if you don't finish your smoothie. Even if you don't stay here, go on a tour of the island with Bill. He came to the island...

Simply fantastic, The best place to stay, the warmest people, very good value. Its just so difficult to articulate how wonderful the experience was. We stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was amazing. One night the power went on the Island and all the restaurants were closed, yet the team here fed everyone staying, normally only serving breakfast . The...

Having just returned from a magical 9 day stay on Easter Island we felt we had to write a review in praise of our hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Taura'a where our hosts Edith and Bill and all their staff went out of their way to make our stay special. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, peaceful and very...
