We stayed in room #3 for two nights in early September. The room was charming, clean and comfortable except for one thing - the ceiling fan made such a loud mechanical noise that it was completely unusable. We were comfortable with the windows cracked except for a couple hours in the late afternoon sun which made the room quite hot.... More

Taura'a is located in a prime spot on Atamu Tekena, the main street in Hanga Roa. While Hanga Roa is not large as far as population goes (about 6000 inhabitants?), it is pretty spread out and getting around on foot is possible but often not practical (this is not an issue of you plan to rent a car). This is... More

Iorana Thank you for your informative comment, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay on the island with us, we have now made enquiries for a high powered router from America which we will be installing as soon as we got our hands on it. We are also from your comment advising people of the 5% surcharge. Best... More

We stayed here last week for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful time! Bill and Edith are very welcoming and friendly, with lots of knowledge and tips about the area. Edith helped us avoid a rained-out horseback tour (suggesting we reschedule for the afternoon instead of toughing it out!) and the day after we took a tour of the... More

I was just here a couple of days ago and I booked a single room for 3 days. I had to change my dates around and Edith was very accommodating. The booking website said I'd have to pay the amount equal to the first night of i changed my plans, but Edith was able to waive these fees, which was... More

Iorana Thank you for your wonderfull comment, it makes our job very enjoyable when we know our guest had a good time. We try to provide the best of the amenities on the island, but sometimes it can be difficult for being so isolated, but most guest appreciate this problem. Regards Edith and Bill More

Less than five minutes drive from the airport, just off the main shopping street, and with ample off-street parking, this small, clean hotel is conveniently located. And it's merely a ten minute walk from the ocean. Each morning a deliciously different breakfast entree is served, which is a nice change from the buffet you may find at other hotels. The... More

We had a great stay at Hotel Taura'a. Edith was an amazing hostess. She gave us tips on what to see and loaned us beach towels for our beach day. Bill gave us a very interesting tour of the Island on our first day. The breakfast was the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B. It was something... More

We had a wonderful week in Rapa Nui, and the staff at Hotel Taura'a took such good care of us! We did the full day tour with Bill, and went all over the island, learning about the Rapa Nui culture as we went. Edith made sure we were well-fed, with our favorites for breakfast each morning. They also assisted with... More

We stayed at Tauraa Hotel for 6 days in March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is small, 15 or so rooms, and is located within walking distance of most of the town's attractions. The rooms are not fancy, but are certainly clean, neat and comfortable. Each room has a small refrigerator, a desk, storage for clothing, a good... More

Great place for solo travel; Bill and Edith make everyone feel comfortable with the fabulous breakfasts, the little touches in the room, an outdoor space with couches and chairs to commune at the day's end with other travelers and the tour, which is expensive but really worth it, especially for short stays, take the Taura Hotel tour.

Bill and Edith were helpful resourceful and provided excellent tours around isle. Unforgettable Edith's fresh guava juice as breakfast starter. Great location in middle of Hanga Roa couple minutes to get everywhere. Couple convenience stores and Car rentals next door.
