As soon as you turn off a nondesc6road, you are transformed into a Polynesian utopia. Warm personalized reception. The staff could not do more for you.
They arranged great private guides at the best pricing.
Beds and pillows are very comfortable, towels are soft and there are even robes and slippers in the large room. Only complaint hot water is only warm.

We went with another couple and spent four nights at Hare Uta recently. It's a beautiful property with very clean rooms just outside of town.
Pros: Rooms are very clean, property is well-maintained and landscaped, pretty easy to coordinate daily activities via the hotel, airport pickup/dropoff are easy and hotel-coordinated, restaurant food is high quality and restaurant is open until 10:30pm daily, very friendly onsite staff.
Cons: Had some inconsistent communication with hotel pre-arrival with forms/activities (so just plan well ahead), hotel forgot our lunch for one day of activities (but made up for it with a complimentary dinner), daytime restaurant staff not terribly attentive when by the pool area, is a good mile from the center of town, so if you're looking for something walkable to all the restaurants, this may not be it.

And while it worked out for us (two couples), the combined rooms/shared area ALSO share with another single room, so guests/strangers of other room have access to the kitchen and living area. This was not described at booking nor arrival, so we were surprised to see people just walking in/out of our shared space. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to know.

We didn't go to any other resorts, but there were a couple in and/or closer to town probably worth checking out. Overall, we did have a wonderful stay here and for the price, you have a really nice option.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Hare Uta. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found our facilities clean and welcoming. It is a pleasure to know that our rooms, landscaping and the quality of the food in our restaurant met your expectations. We regret any inconvenience you experienced regarding communication prior to your arrival and the details of the shared rooms. We appreciate you bringing these points to our attention and will ensure that we improve clarity in our future communication so that every detail of the reservation is clearly understood by our guests. We are pleased that the complimentary dinner was to your liking as compensation for the forgotten lunch, although we regret the inconvenience this may have caused. We also note your comment about the attention in the pool area and will work to improve our service in all areas. Thank you again for your honesty and for recommending us despite the minor setbacks. We would love to have another opportunity to provide you with an even more satisfying and seamless experience on your next visit. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Hare Uta and are of course at your disposal for any assistance you may require for future bookings. Kind regards Hare Uta Hotel Team

The structure is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery and consists of 3 structures, in turn divided into 3 rooms and 1 common area.
The rooms have everything you need for your stay, the beds very comfortable, the bathroom perfect! The common area has in addition to a relaxation area also a usable kitchen.
The location is not very convenient to reach the village: you need a taxi or a walk of about 30 min. During our stay there were no bicycles (they would have been useful).
The restaurant is really up to the task! The breakfast was hearty and very good. Meals cooked optimally and with fresh and genuine ingredients.

Extremely overpriced and remote with no hot water. Payed over €2500 & forked out €80 for taxis on a 6 night stay as it’s a gruelling 50min walk to beach and town area - nearest shop is 40min. Staff didn’t provide taxi details and said restaurants would call taxis but only one restaurant did so was left stranded 50min walk away in scorching temperatures on another day. On top of that - there was no hot water when getting back and their solution was to walk to another room and go shower there. Ended up opting for the small pool instead as it was closer to the room only to find the area without clean towels and unkempt. This hotel is not worth even half the price. The coffee is extremely bad too. The only redemption was dinner which one is almost forced to have here due to remoteness unless you have a car or prepared to fork out more for taxis. Wanted to check out early due to distance and disappointment but full amount had already been charged and they refused a partial refund. There are much better and half priced hotels in town & near the beach! Considering they only have 9 rooms they should offer free shuttle services and rooms should have spa baths (with hot water 24/7). Absolute rip off and definitely not worth it. Most expensive mistake ever.

Dear Nicolette, We regret your comments towards our hotel on your current stay, as we take each of our guests' remarks very seriously, and of course, our intention is to ensure a quality experience in keeping with the charm of Rapa Nui. We will take into consideration the free shuttle service and the hot tub you suggest. Regarding your criticisms, we are a bit confused. On the day of your arrival, you were advised to use cabs recommended by our reception team, as well as assisting you with their contacts, to which you indicated that you liked to walk but that you already understood that you could access contacts from us. Also, on Saturday you asked to leave the hotel because it did not meet your expectations, mainly because of the distance, and then you yourself communicated that it was fine, that you understood that it had been your fault for not having paid attention to the distance at the time of booking. In addition to this, with your situation of lack of hot water yesterday, we fully understand that it is a frustration and should not happen, yet our reception team sought to deliver a quick and comfortable solution which was to shower in a room of the same category while our maintenance team and our General Manager were on their way to solve your specific issue, before this you refused. Once our manager and our maintenance team arrived at your room, we were able to solve and respond to the concern, realizing that the hot water was working. Finally, yesterday afternoon you requested through your booking channel an early check-out to be able to leave our hotel earlier requesting a partial refund, to which we agreed offering you a 50% refund, where finally you decided to decline your own request and stay the total of your stay with us. As a team, we would love that your stay with us and above all your experience in Rapa Nui is and ends up being what you expect. However, we have noticed some difficulties in our recent communication, and we would like to make sure that we are understanding and addressing your needs in the best possible way. We strongly believe that open and positively received communication is critical to providing you with the service and attention you deserve and desire. We cordially invite you to share any specific concerns or requirements you have, so that we can address them effectively. We are here to help you and want to ensure that your stay ends up being as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Kind regards Hotel Hare Uta Team

I enjoyed a 3 night half board stay in Room 9 (stand alone room at the top of the property).
From my initial email enquiry to check out and outbound airport transfer, I was very impressed.
All staff were kind, attentive and welcoming. A personalised tour program was proposed with a number of half day and one full day itinerary suggested. Teva my guide was excellent - very professional and a genuinely nice person to spend time with.
The hotel facilities were lovely. The gardens were maintained beautifully, the room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff were attentive and all food choices selected were delicious. The pool was clean and a welcome sight after exploring the island each day.
Although the property is not located in the town, it is a short taxi ride if needed. I only chose to leave once to view the sunset so the location was no issue based on the facilties available in house.
Highly recommend and excellent value for the price point.

Really a great little property off the beaten path (but a quick $5 taxi into town). Great staff! They arranged a great guide for our excursions/park access and the massages we booked hit the spot! We had 2 rooms and had one of the houses - these rooms shared a common area but other groups did come in to make a cup of coffee in the morning, but once we figured it it was shared, we expected it. Beds and room were very comfortable and the indoor/outdoor space was well appointed. Lovely landscaping.
Pool was great in the afternoon after a day of looking at Moai and hiking to Rano Kau crater. Great food at the restaurant (Wok and Roll, ceviche, octopus) were all delicious. Breakfast was very easy. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it!

With only 9 rooms across 3 villas this place is fantastic. There is a central restaurant and bar with a modest pool and lido area. There is whole place is tranquil and has a high view over the town with great sunset panorama views. It is a 30 minute walk into town or a 5 minute £5 taxi ride. Otherwise the island tour operators will take you all I’ve the island to visit the main Moai sites straight from the hotel. The bar and restaurant are first class and reasonably priced. A full bar with great local cocktails and plenty of vegan/vegetarian options available. All the staff speak good English. A tranquil tropical resort hotel, the bedrooms are large, modern and comfortable with spectacular views from their balconies.

Hotel with only nine rooms and wonderful views with a terrace in the middle of a large area where you can feel and hear the island in its entirety
starting with a large number of chickens that fly into the trees at night and spend the night there but also start making noise at dawn - ideal for early risers - as well as mice and cockroaches
Apart from that, really good cuisine served by well-trained staff with foreign language skills
The excursions organized by the hotel were mostly impressive, just as the huge moais on their ahus were
The competitions and dances in original outfits to find the best clan each year were an unexpected and unplanned great enrichment of our stay

5 Stars Across the Board. The rooms were impeccable, as was the service. I think the tuna tartare might be the best I have ever had. The juice was from fruit grown on the property, and the eggs from the chickens kept on the grounds. The staff was attentive but not overly do that you felt crowded. They arranged for my national park ticket and tours. Tito’s passion for his island and people was inspiring. I could say so much more. The perfect stay!

Lovely little hotel with very caring staff !
Convenient location , just away from the tourist bustle . Comfortable, clean rooms!
The hotel is on an elevated level, so always a slight breeze saves from the heat. And a beautiful view accordingly!
I didn't want to leave the room, it's rare!

We also booked inclusive and glad we did because of the rain. We saw the Eco Lodge, but did not go in. From the outside, the Hare Noi looked a bit more upscale, but both are beautiful.

I think 3 meals a day might be a bit too much. We did two meals, a breakfast and dinner, with my husband and 6 yo and it worked out fine. We were touring a lot during the day so lunch would have been difficult. There are a bunch of restaurants in town too.
