I was pleased with my stay at Puku Vai. The property itself is nice with lush gardens and a pool to relax by. The rooms are a decent size although a little on the dark side. Having WiFi in the room was a nice perk. It's not high-speed (you are in the middle of nowhere, after all) but it was...

Much better than adequate, very clean, more than satisfactory breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Plus, rooms have working air conditioners! I know there are breezes, but when it is 78-80 with some humidity, it's nice to have air con. Pool area and pool well kept and nice to take a dip after tracking around the island . Certainly not...

My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Jarkko to the simply lovely Hotel Puku Vai. Rooms have sliding glass doors overlooking a lovely garden and/or pool area with patio seating at each room. We were impressed by each of the very caring and gracious staff who helped us feel so comfortable. The delicious breakfast of fresh fruits along with...

After being out on tour all day, it was incredible to dip into the cold swimming pool. Helped to ease the sunburn - Rapa Nui sun sneaks up on you - think Hawaii - you are outside in full sun all day. Nice and quiet split-system air conditioning in rooms, along with safe and fridge. Island TV has just 4...

Thank you for staying in Hotel PUKU VAI and traveling with KIA KOE Tour, Harry! We appreciate you pointing out that you enjoyed our Outdoors Pool, A/C and Free Wi-Fi internet. Sun protection really is a major concern in Easter Island. Considering that most of the archaeological sites are located by the coast, you get sun from all sides. However,...

Despite being very close to the airport, Puku Vai is a peaceful hotel with well maintained grounds. Staff are helpful and friendly. Only negative feedback is the expensive dinners - US$33 per person for a basic 2-course meal without drinks. Laundry service was also expensive at US$1 for underwear and US$6 for a shirt! Washing our own clothes in our...

Thank you for staying in Hotel PUKU VAI, Easter Island! We hope you had a chance to try seafood is our restaurant. We buy fresh fish from the local fishermen directly. Thus, having a dinner in our restaurant not only supports the local economy but also a sustainable way of fishing. We consider it as a conscious choice that reflects...

Hotel Puku Vai vastly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is lovely, with large rooms and gorgeous grounds. Everything is extremely clean and beautifully maintained. The staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent and on the one night we had dinner at the hotel we were very impressed with what we were served. I've eaten in Michelin-starred restaurants that...

Thank you for staying in Hotel PUKU VAI and traveling with KIA KOE Tour! We appreciate that you shared your great experience with everyone! Local fish is our specialty. The chef's blushing due to your praise, anyway. Combining tours with rental cars is a practical option when you have a long stay. All the best for both of you!

We were a group on 9 stayed in early January. The rooms were clean and spacious. the back opened to the pool area which was small but great for a cool off after a day of sightseeing. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They lend beach umbrellas for the day if you are heading to the beach. We opted...

Our room has a double and a single bed, large enough to accommodate 3 people. Its clean but the lighting was not sufficient. Natural light comes through the door that leads to the pool and when the curtains are pulled, the inside is very dark and with the lights all turned on, it was still quite dim. Bedside reading was...

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Puku Vai, on Easter Island. The Puku Vai is an easy walk from the airport (if it isn't raining!). It is an easy 15--20 minute walk from the hotel to the center of town. We did the walk several times with no problems. If you don't want to do the walk taxis are...

Nice hotel, decent sized room opening onto pool area. Hotel and grounds are clean and well kept. The breakfast was adequate, and the staff were helpful, happy to book restaurants and taxis in the evenings. It is at least 30 minutes walk to the restaurants in town, not so great if it is raining! This hotel would be better viewed...

Thank you for your comments! Hotel PUKU VAI is one of the most popular hotels on Easter Island and most days we're fully booked when it's the high season. The daily flight pretty much sets the rhythm on the island. Thus, sometimes we simply have to be strict with the check-out time. However, we do it only for a reason....
