Travelers' Choice
Embellishing Nam Hai heritage with Four Seasons flair, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai is a harmonious ode to coast, culture and community in Vietnam’s UNESCO-strewn centre. Once a fishing village – with a historic temple preserved on site – the Resort presents an authentic connection to the region through inspiring on-site activities, from a cooking academy and earth-attuned spa to exhilarating water sports and cultural excursions. Located on a private one-kilometre (half-mile) stretch of Ha My Beach – hailed by Forbes as one of the best beaches in the world – the Resort is reborn under Four Seasons as a beacon of beauty that reflects the soul of Vietnam’s cultural heartland and illuminates the spirit of all who visit: the culturally curious, beach purists, intrepid families, culinary connoisseurs and well-being devotees alike.

We had an extraodinary stay at Four Seasons. As soon as we arrived, the general manager gave us a warm welcome, by which we felt at ease. Despite swelthering weather, Four seasons is like a cool oasis. Our villa offers a great level of convenience, with an ocean view. The only deducted point is there are steps nearby the bed, which might cause falls if you are not careful. Breakfast is varied a la cart menu, perfectly cooked! The main pool is amazing, I wish I had time to stay there and chill all day. Last but not least, they offered us a late check-out until 5pm due to our flight schedule. I travel and experience properties on a regular basis, and I must say Four seasons The Nam Hai offers one of the greatest level of hospitality in the continent. Thank Four Season a lot for hosting me!

The Nam Hai is beautiful, of course, with its lush vegetations, grand cascading swimming pools, azure sky, and white sandy beach. But we have had our fair share of nice-looking resorts with lackluster services, and we always leave disappointed. The level of services at Nam Hai is unlike anything I've had in VN, and I've stayed at Amanoi, the two Six Senses properties, and Intercontinental Da Nang. From the moment we stepped foot in the airport, we were transported to the hotel, quickly taken to our villa to be taken in, and from that moment on we were in Lien's (our butler) very good hands. Smooth and seamless do not begin to describe it. Lien was wonderful: caring, warm, attentive, yet never intrusive. She seems to have telepathy! For example we woke up from an afternoon nap and five minutes later she showed up at our villa to serve us some iced tea with cut up fruits. Nam Hai was also the only resort in VN that offers us daily laundry. It was not a big deal, but to return to our resort after dinner to see all our clothes freshly laundered, folded, and hanged neatly was an amazing feeling. The way Lien, and other Nam Hai employees treat my kid also pleased me tremendously: the customized sweet treats, the stuffed animal, the mini bathrobe, all the details show how much they cared for the little guests. It would take me much longer to elaborate all the things I love about this resort... Nam Hai is one of the rare places that I would actually come back. If I absolutely need to nitpick, I'd suggest that they change the water pressure of the faucet in the toilet. It was a bit too strong and hurt our private parts, to put it delicately.

Me and my close friend decided Four Seasons to be our very first destination in 2021 and we were not disappointed about our choice. We were warmly welcome from the moment the driver picked us up at the airport. The receptionist was indeed helpful as well as the manager. After that, we were taken to our one bedroom villa with beach view which was absolutely great. It looked exactly like in photos! About the interior, I would say Four Seasons keeps Ancient Hoi An spirit well and translates that into the way they decorate. It is definitely not trendy or modern but very "Vintage Hoi An" vibe but still keeps the premium standard of Four Seasons. I liked the fact that there was many glass water bottles with complimentary tea and coffee in the mini bar. The bathroom facilities were good as well. Many towels and robe were available in my villa. You could choose to have activities in the resort or go to Hoi An by resort's bus. However, I didn't know that the driver could not wait for the last guests at least 2 or 3 minutes. So when we arrived at the spot at around 20:32 and the bus had gone. So we called the reception to see if he could actually picked us up. Eventually, the resort actually settled a taxi to pick us. About food, you won't be expecting a buffet but a la carte menu instead. There are some Western, Korean and Vietnamese options to choose from. I was happy with the quality of the food on both days.

Being one of the most pricy resorts in Vietnam, it does bring great experience and good moments but there are still quite a lot to improve at this standard. 1. Good points: - Staff are friendly. They remember your name, your room and your family. This is impressive customer experience especially if they dont use any CX technology. - Great spirit of peace and mindfulness inspired by Engaged Buddhism of Thich Nhat Hanh - Very Good Kid activities: Cooking, Lantern making, very good children’s challenge book. - Good architecture. I like the exterior design more than the interior. Long swimming pool - You have your own dedicated steward in every villa (not with Hotel). 2. Need improvement: - Facilities are getting old. Toilet equipments seem to be not upgraded since many years (eg. Toilet seat cover is a free dropped type that can create a bang if you are not careful). Small TV is also a minus. - Bathroom amenities are low quality. Toothbrushes look cheap with nylon covers. Hair dryer can not be turned off, I needed to unplug it (maybe only in my room) - Private Swiming pool is large but was made by rough stone that can tear your swimwear or create scratches on your skin if not careful. Should also be cleaned more often. - Last but not least, I intended to give the resort 4 stars but had to change mind to 3 because of their Duong Trieu Vu show. Noises from sound system annoy you during your breakfast time and until 10.15pm. Kids could not sleep because of the late music. I was surprised why the resort allow the show because it looks like it goes far away from the peaceful and quiteness spirit the resort has been following. Maybe during the Covid time, they need to exchange long term value for short term benefits. That is understandable but I hope they do not do this many times. 3. Conclusion Compared to other same level resorts in Vietnam like Six senses, Intercontinential Da Nang or Amanoi, I think Four Seasons does give some unique value but it still need to catch up quite a bit.

Responded Apr 24, 2021
Dear Mr. Hieu. Firstly, please accept my sincerest thanks for staying with us and taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay. It is a pleasure to have met you and your family, to hear that you were well taken care of by the team and your stay overall was enjoyable. I appreciate the notes that you have given and the team and we are exploring ways we can better improve the overall experience for our guests based on your feedback. I further want to acknowledge and thank you for your patience while the resort prepared for the event. We understand the intrusive nature of the set up and sound checks and assure you that this was an extraordinary event, not a regular occurrence. Nonetheless, I apologize that your overall experience was affected. Again, I do hope to have the opportunity to connect again with you during a future stay and please do not hesitate to reach out directly. Appreciate your time and hope your family arrived safely back home. Best regards, Bryan Ruch Resort Manager

My wife and I stayed here for only for 1 night, but it was amazing. Even before we arrived I was in contact with the staff asking questions that were always answered quickly. The resort is amazing and our room (Beach Front Villa) was great. Everyone we encountered from Mr. Tuan at check in, the bell staff, room service ladies and the resort manager Bryan were friendly and answered any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again!
