We had a vacation package with hotel Borgoterra. In the pictures we saw a beautiful and authentic place but we know how nowadays you can make as beautiful pictures as you want. But already with a first steps in the cosy small street from hotel, we understood, that we have made a good choice! So nice, romantic, authentic and beautiful hotel! During the breakfast we felt like rich people few eras ago! What a nice place where to begin a day! Fresh fruits, warm bread and delicious coffee! Also nice, that food was not too much - there was a choice but not with a feeling, that they are trying to feed eating army :) All crew was nice, helpful and totally not too pushy. Also room cleaners worked carefully - everything was clean but without making their own order (if i wanted to have a glas from kitchen next to my bed, they respected that and left that there). And so on... everything was perfect!

What a lovely place to stay! The room was beautiful, and full of character, like something out of the past but with modern amenities. Our room was huge, and aside from a slightly creeky bed, perfect. Breakfast was quirky and delicious, and being right in the heart of martano (not somewhere I’d heard of before, but a really charming little town) was a delight. The only warning is that, if you like your sleep, don’t stay over on a Sunday morning - the church bells are nearby and loud! Didn’t bother us but came as quite a shock!

We recently spent 3 nights at Borgoterra and really enjoyed the stay. We stayed in one of the apartments in one of the several old town houses which makes up Borgoterra. It was very central to the small town of Martano but with no traffic noise. Our apartment was very comfortable, clean and well furnished with traditional furnishings perfectly reflecting the style of the property. We got a warm welcome from the staff and great recommendations for places to eat - all within easy walking distance as are all the amenities of the town. In my opinion you do need a car if you’re staying here - but there there is some free parking in the town. Would thoroughly recommend Borgoterra for an authentic taste of Puglia.

Beautiful and romantic staying. We got a full apartment to ourselves which was very relaxed. The breakfast was delicious and martano is ideal to visit all the southern spots as it’s situated quite central. Definitely recommend

The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Martano away from the traffic noise. Suitable for stay or visit the lovely Salento district. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything was good except an unknown additional fare (10 €/day) for a dwarf pinscher we had with us. Except that problem 5 stars.
