I really enjoyed this hotel. I stayed there in May 2019.Very friendly staff and great food. Very clean and great location, close to the beach. Fuerteventura is so beautiful. Cotillo is super quiet and very beautiful and unique landscape.

Lovely quiet little place. Close to the beach and little bars and places to eat scattered about. Been twice and can not wait to go back later in the year. Entertainment needs work but we dont go here for that.

the hotel completely surrounds a magnificent large swimming pool ,that has an attractive naturally tropical look - there are plenty of palm trees and shrubs which look good , provide shade from the sun , so much nicer than loads of plastic umbrellas everywhere and at any time of the day it was not a problem finding a sunbed. our room was comfortablle and we sat outside overlooking the swimming pool , the reception offered us an electric kettle and for a 10eu refundable deposit we were given a tv remote. the best meal of the day was always the breakfast , which had so many items to choose from ,all top quality - even the bread was baked on the premises. the staff in all departments worked hard and reception was most helpful with any queries . i would suggest that in many ways , hotel cotillo equals 4 star quality.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a week. We were bed and breakfast and had a ground floor room facing the pool. We had mixed feelings about this hotel. Good points: - although it’s 2 single beds pushed together, the beds are comfy. - The room is fine if you only plan to be in there to sleep and shower and nothing else. - Plenty of sunbeds and spaces for everyone. The pool was cleaned regularly even if it was very cold. - The staff are also super friendly and check in and check out were both very easy. Bad points: - There was no fridge (apparently only 20 rooms in the whole hotel have them) or kettle which makes no sense if you aren’t all inclusive. - There was a LOT of mosquitos in our room all the time. I’d strongly recommend taking mosquito spray and plug ins! We would manage to kill the ones we could hunt down, leave the room for 2 minutes, come back and there would be more. It was like a constant stream of them and not ideal when they buzz in your ear all night and bite you! - Our room had an effective ceiling fan however after being on for half an hr, it starts clicking nonstop so it was a case of do we want the room to be cool, or do we want to sleep... - Not suitable for dietary requirements. If you are vegan / plant based / lactose intolerant, there’s no dairy alternatives. I saw some people bringing their own gluten free bread to breakfast as the supermarket next door sells all dairy free/ gluten free etc stuff but if you have no fridge to keep it in you will struggle but there’s enough options for meat & dairy consumers though. If you are vegan I’d advise against staying here. - The key cards - you only get 1 and they are temperamental so if they go anywhere near your phone or other cards, they will stop working so keep an eye on that. There are enough restaurants within walking distance of much better variety so my opinion is the half board / all inclusive is not worth it unless you drink a lot or are limited with your mobility. Many of the nearby restaurants state their vegan, veggie or gluten free options on the menu which was helpful. The time of year we went, it was mostly the older generation in our hotel but for a chilled holiday of just lounging in the sun, drinking room temperature water and quick access to some local bars, restaurants and supermarkets, it’s fine but note, this is a very quiet area of fuerteventura so don’t expect a party. Or a fridge.

My partner and I stayed for a week AI in the last week of January. A small but very clean hotel in the middle of nowhere. We knew this before booking as we just wanted a stress free quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of normal day to day life. We certainly got it here. It was wonderful. A short 5 minute walk to the sea and its beaches. It was as though you were sent back into the 1960's as the tourists in this area seemed to be of the "hippy surfer dude" and new age generation, of all ages. Fine by us as were '60's kids. A few shops and Medical centre at the front of the hotel together with a couple of shops and bars 2 minutes walk. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which takes you to Corralejo town about an hour away. They run on the hour. We booked in and after paying a €10 deposit for the tv remote, went to our room situated on the ground floor. There are only 2 floors but in hindsight would have asked for one on the first floor, as there is a lot of foliage on the ground floor which attract the mosquito's. Room clean and well kept but a little tired and needs a spruce up. All areas a kept very clean and tidy and as a small hotel you don't have to go far for anything. No tea and coffee making facilities so take you own travel kettle. On reading other reviews, they say that there are no English tv channels apart from a news channel. I beg to differ, as I found a couple of English movie channels on searching through if you need that sort of thing. Food in the restaurant is typical of a 3* hotel, plentiful, wholesome and quite tasty, albeit a little colder than I liked. There is a microwave at hand if you need it supahot as I like it. Breakfast is good and geared towards the British. Free wi-fi is available in reception but is impossible to make a connection. Staff are very polite and attentive so no complaints there. So on the whole, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. would I stay again, absolutely, but on an upper floor.
