We got married here in June 2022, and it was the best day / weekend of our lives!
The castle itself is so magical and romantic; the venue area itself is a large square room with transparent roof and green foliage going up the walls on all sides, many of our guests gasped in amazement when they saw it. We booked the entire castle for the whole weekend, so had the whole place to our wedding party.
The food and service were top class – drinks seemed to be replaced by magic, the staff were so efficient and yet pretty much invisible in terms of intrusion to the party.
Our rooms were all furnished in a way very much befitting of a castle, which provided a great atmosphere, though the bathrooms were modern, which I expect for most people makes sense – I’m you wouldn’t want to pour your own bathwater, nomatter how ‘authentic’ an experience it might be!
Above all, Wioletta, the manager of the castle, is the most organised professional person you will ever meet. Very open and easy to talk to, she adapted the schedule to suit our preferences, thought of everything you could possibly imagine, and always had a prompt helpful answer when contacted in the (lengthy due to covid…) preparation period. She is an absolute credit to the castle.
The contract was agreed up front, and is what we paid – there were no unexpected extras or ‘upselling’, so whilst we paid a bit more than we might have in other venues, there was nothing hidden, everything we needed was included, and ultimately we feel it was worth every penny.
It’s also worth mentioning that the surrounding area, Lagow, is quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve seen in the whole world. A small but buzzing village with stunning lakes, lots to do both in and out of the water, and a great bonus in terms of entertaining our guests.
Are there any downsides? Well, I guess for some you will get slicker facilities, more modern decoration etc in a modern hotel, but we’d much rather have the magic of the castle and the village any time.

We stayed here for two nights last August, having rode a motorbike from the UK. It was in the middle of a heatwave. It was wonderful and really cheap - a suite of rooms was £50 GBP including a sumptuous breakfast and it was an amazingly atmospheric place. No TV though and not for those that want a banging night life - but if you want scenery and history at a knock down price, then this is your ticket. One word of warning is that it isn't really viable if you don't do stairs. If you love swimming, in the summer you will find that the two lakes inbetween which it is situated are two of the finest swimming pools in the world. You can very cheaply hire a pedalo boat, and after a visit to the shop across the road, take it out with a picnic and swim off the boat. Magical! The water was turquoise and clear and you could see all the fish. Only a couple of hours from Berlin but seemingly undiscovered by hoards of Western European tourists. Go now before they find it! There was almost no English spoken among the staff, but my basic German was understood along with the usual international gestures. It really wasn't a problem.

Overall, extremely pleased. We opted to pay the extra 12-15 Euros to stay in the luxury apartments, which were indeed luxurious. Beautiful furniture, high ceilings and ample space. The bathroom was fine and water pressure hot and strong. Reception staff friendly, efficient and helpful (English/German speaking). The location amazing! The restaurant is best avoided apart from the brilliant breakfast. If you want a good meal with reasonable prices head to the pub just at the gate/Tor. Coffee at breakfast is instant, this could be improved with some filter coffee. We highly recommend the hotel and beautiful Lagow!

The hotel is situated in the historical medieval castle, but apart of fabulous location on the top of the hill, with spectacular view on the town and very nice arranged courtyard, covered by the glass roof, there is nothing special in this entity.
The rooms are arranged on a very random way and equipped with poor furnitures, imitating the antique ones.
The same story is with bathrooms.
The restaurant located in the hotel serves rather common cuisine. The rich and tasty breakfast is one of very few bright points from my stay there.

An hotel in an old castle between two lakes in the "perl of west Poland" sounds cool!
The atmosphere is intriguing.
At the end... you enter your room and poetry ends. The rooms (and bathrooms, too) should be restored: the furnitures are old and poor, and the air is a little bit musty.

We decided to spoil ourselves for once, so we went for an appartment as they are called. It was really lovely! Huge sitting room with a grand fireplace, a seperate bedroom, and a small, but perfectly argreeable bathroom. High ceilings and lovely, wooden floor. The only thing to be aware of, are the stairs. There is no lift as this is an old castle, and you first have to climb some steps to get to the reception, then more steps to get to the covered court yard where the restaurant is located, then more steps to get to the rooms. Breakfast was so nice, with a really huge variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit, the lot! Also you could order cooked breakfast freshly made in the kitchen. There is also a car park on the premisses where your car is looked behind bars for the night. Very safe! No hairdryer in the room, so if you depend on that, bring your own!

I had my wedding here recently. What an awesome place!! The surroundings are beautiful and the castle itself is stunning inside! The staff were extremely helpful, flexible and accommodating. The food was great and the service was phenomenal. If you are looking for a nice place to get away, I highly recommend it. And if you are looking for an awesome place to get married, look no further!

Pretty close to the German border, and a bit off the beaten track- our satnav had us traveling up narrow farm tracks to get here.! We had a lovely suite which was huge, with a view over both lakes. There isn't a lot to do in the village apart from relax or walk. The bar is lovely, with vaulted ceilings and a good choice of drinks. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant a lovely setting- great food and wine and extremely good prices. Service was a little haphazard but we had plenty of time to enjoy the food. We'll definitely stay again.

If it was not that we had taken the family room, than the week-end visit would have been a royal visit. This familie room'4 bed'was rather a poor accomodation compared with the standard rooms in the zamek or castle. The breakfast is spendid. The service an additional star for the hotel. The restaurants chef made the best dishes. The view from the castle tower will confirm that the overall choice of the hotel is 8 points on a scale of 10
