A beautiful setting with unique features but let down by gripes that would not be tolerated in a 3* hotel let alone 5* at commensurate price. The approach road is frightening and poorly sign posted. The check in a shambles. The designer bathroom has poor water pressure and. The safe requires kneeling on the floor to use it. Getting a cup of coffee at breakfast made Brexit negotiations seem easy! Etc.etc. A pro active manager supervising staff training and quality control could so easily turn things around, a pity as so much potential.
We loved our stay at this gem of a hotel. The hotel and property are stunning and beautifully landscaped. We stayed three nights and it was a fantastic experience. The rooms and suites are well designed and appointed as are the outdoor spaces. The property offers sweeping views over the countryside and to the sea – magnificent at all times of day, magical at night. The team at Kinsterna is terrific – very welcoming and provided great hospitality and service throughout our stay. Kinsterna is beautifully maintained and great for couples and families alike. There are three restaurants focusing on local ingredients, but regrettably only one was open while we were there so early in the season, so the food options were somewhat limited for an extended stay. Wines are very good. Breakfast service was fantastic with many great choices. I must rave about the bed – it may very well be one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Our suite was perfect for our stay – C level suite with lovely outdoor balcony and very quiet and private. Kinsterna pays great attention to detail and offers a high quality experience while being very comfortable and relaxing. Loved this spectacular place which delivers understated elegance and luxury in a magnificent setting. Thanks for a memorable few days.…
“Kinsterna” offered us an exquisite experience. We relaxed waking in the beautiful gardens with stunning views. Breakfast was delicious: with fresh, carefully selected local products and recipes. Dinner at the restaurant and drinks at the bar are highly recommended. Traditional soap-making seminar, not to be missed! The “running water canal” from the fountain and the “sterna” to the gardens is a work of art… We particularly loved the architecture and interior design of the restaurant and bar building!
Great place with an amazing view and a beautiful renovated building, nice activities organized in the domain. Very welcoming people, nice atmosphere, rooms are very comfortable. You can also buy wine and olive oil produced in the domain, very good one ! Very nice SPA. Restaurant is okay, nothing special.
its like a dream to live the rooms are perfect the service and the food is beyond perfect so friendly and so delicious a lot of adventure to do there its a unique place to live I've stay speechless from the service and the quality
I stayed 2 days in Kinsterna Hotel. The premises are excellent. The view to the sea is unbelievable. This hotel has been rebuild and adapted the old architecture. Garden is refreshing for walking. The area is huge, and cultivated with local agriculture products, local excellent wines made within. Personnel is the most polite I ever found in a hotel. Whatever you ask you have it within minutes. The Breakfast is based in the local products and quality is the highest I ever tasted Restaurants are excellent. Food is made by excellent ingridiants and chef present the best the can do I do suggest to travel and stay to this hotel.
Beautiful property, lovely rooms, delicious meals but missing a soul. The dining room serves wonderful fresh Chef prepared dishes but the design is stark, the lighting harsh and no levity in the atmosphere. The dining room staff seemed tired. Something was off. We had high expectations for this property based upon reviews and recommendations, but it disappointed.
It has always been difficult to find the right words to describe a wonderful hotel experience, such was my hotel experience at Kinsterna Hotel in Monemvasia. Everything at Kinsterna was extraordinary, but there were two things that literally impressed me during my stay: As I happen to have sensitive eyes, I loved the fact that I could control the light intensity in the bathroom. I’ve been to hotels where the light in the bathroom was so intense that turned out to be quite painful for my eyes. That was not the case at Kinsterna. Everything at Kinsterna was so considerate! One more thing that impressed me was that once you were sitting in the pool, the waiter would bring a bottle of water to you for free! So attentive! And how can you not appreciate this generosity! Kinsterna is that kind of a hotel where you go, you spend a few days there, you forget the outside world, you relax so much so that you may even forget that the day to check out has come. …
During our last trip to Greece we decided to visit the Minemvasia region and we stayed at Kinsterna and we couldnt be happier. The hotel is the perfect getaway for those who like a unique and authentic experience. The rooms are beautiful and with attention to details and the property is an ode to relaxation and peace. The swimming pool was perfect to relax and there are several organized activites if you ever get tired of relaxing. The staff is extremely friendly and kind and always ready to help and the property is 10 minutes away from the beautiful town of Monenvasia and the perfect base to explore the region. The food was always delicious and the signature massage at the Spa was just perfect. We look forward to be back to Kinsterna in a near future!
We stayed at Kinsterna Hotel for three nights, and we had the most amazing experience ever! The hotel location is great, just 10 minutes away from Monemvasia, a cute little Medieval town inside a fortress. The staff was very kind, always ready to help us with anything we might need. Our room was terrific, very spacious, modern and clean, and our bed was probably the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. We had a lovely balcony with a small garden just in front where they cultivated some vegetables. The food was overall very tasty! The breakfast is a continental buffet with a wide variety of options with fruits, juices, eggs, pastries and cereals available. At the restaurant, you can find delicious food and wines very well prepared and presented (can’t forget those fantastic scallops), and at the tavern, you get a more local experience with some delicious regional food slowly cooked in the oven. The hotel has two main pools, one for families and the other one for adults, and from both, you can enjoy a fantastic sunrise just before breakfast. The Spa facilities are beautifully decorated, and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi. We got a signature massage at the Spa that we loved – body scrubbing with grapes, sugar and honey! Highly recommend you to do a wine tasting at Kinsterna! You’ll get to learn a bit more about the wines of the region with Nikos, who will explain to you everything about the history of each wine and its properties. Every day the hotel hosts a different activity which is amazing! From Honey harvesting, grape stomping to soap making, you won’t have time to be bored at this hotel. Also, the hotel facilities are beautiful and perfect to walk around and contemplate nature.…
