Great welcome on arrival. Shaun and Charlene, the owners, could not do enough to make us welcome. Our room ,The Crown, was modern and very comfortable,. The locals were quite lively early on Saturday evening but in no way prevented us from having a cracking nights sleep as they had moved on by 9pm. Breakfast was fit for a king. And...

We were attending a wedding about 5 miles from Lechlade and took a punt on the Old Swan. We were not disappointed - spent a joyous afternoon watching the 6 nations rugby with the locals, good beers & pub grub, clean rooms and great beds and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. What more could you ask for at around...

Only visited pub on winters evening, unfortunately not to stay. We walked in for a quick drink and stayed for a few and dinner. We had a friendly welcome from the landlord, landlady, staff and locals. Great atmosphere with a roaring fire on a foul evening (weatherwise), good beers . Food was enjoyable, good pub food. Highly recommend if you're...

What a hidden gem ! Booked a last minute overnighter here and was NOT disappointed. It is so refreshing to walk into a 16C inn and see exactly that.... not something that has had the heart and guts ripped out and modernised into some characterless hell hole. The old swan oozes character..open fires, beamed ceilings, wooden floors. We had a...

We have just returned from a three night break in this charming 16th Century Inn where ourselves and another family took all four rooms above the pub. It was truly exquisite made all the better by the fabulous welcome, the care and attention we were given by the Landlord and Landlady throughout our stay, Shaun and Charlene (not to mention...

Great pub, great locals and an even better breakfast. I had my birthday party here and nothing was too much trouble. The landlady and landlord are fantastic. We also stayed the night, rooms are clean and tidy. We will return very soon. Thank you the swan for a very warm welcome.

Stayed on Saturday night as a family of 4 in a Double Room and a twin, boys were 14 years old. The Double room was very good and had recently been tastefully refurbished oozing character with lots of original features and space but was at the front of the Inn and suffered from road noise which may be an issue...

Just back from a lovely weekend away. Me and the girlfriend chose this b&b as the picture on the website looked amazing. It did not disappoint! The whole place was oozing with character. The room had a 4 post bed which was lovely and useful. Cast iron bath was a nice touch too. 2 wing back chairs where very comfy....

This is a 16th century inn that oozes characteristic charm and intrigue. My husband and I found the building quirky and inspiring set in beautiful Lechlade. On arrival we entered the bar area where we were at first unsure where to check in. A bleak greeting was the response and we didn't feel overly welcome following our 3 hour drive!...
