We only stayed one night but it was wonderful. The hotel is truly special. Our room was on the third floor so lots of stairs. It was big and very clean with a lovely bed and gorgeous linens. We had breakfast which was a feast. Also dinner which was the Chefs surprise menu. Very nice too. The grounds are lovely.Service...

The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. The restaurant onsite is outstanding and the bedrooms are a good size. These are probably the nicest digs in all Witten and who wouldn't want to stay in a castle!? We stayed in the December room (#12). It was spacious with a large seating area. They have an excellent breakfast...

I always come to Maastricht for the last weekend in August to visit the festival and stay in my favourite Castle. Its changed ownership 3 time since I first visited in 1983. Its now back to the old Kasteel. The rooms are great, quiet surroundings and a beautiful garden. The new marquee at the back gives it a real sophisticated...

From the first moment you set foot in Kasteel Wittem (yes, it's a castle) you will feel welcome. We arrived quite late and were greeted by name by the staff. We hadn't reserved a table in the restaurant and unfortunately it was fully booked. Luckily they set up a little table just for the two of us near the lounge...

Found this hotel via trip advisor . We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable, well appointed room. Slept with the windows open as there was fresh air, peaceful surroundings and no noise from the road. The breakfast was delicious and generous.

The castle is beautifully decorated with charm. The owners were attentive and welcoming. They facilitated storage of our bikes and an early breakfast before the start of regular breakfast hours. Catering to our needs and being flexible for dinner on the night before Easter although they were clearly fully booked. The dinners prepared by the chef were excellent.

We had such high hopes for Kasteel Wittem. It looked delightful on arrival. It did, however, go downhill pretty fast in our estimation. We arrived late after a long drive (around 11.30pm). There were no staff, just the owner to greet us, with his hands in his pockets, not looking overwhelmingly pleased. We had phoned ahead to say we would...

We booked a gastronomical two-star arrangement at Kasteel Wittem, in order to be able to visit De Leuf** without having to refuse the accompanying wines. Parts of Kasteel Wittem are almost 900 years old, most of it is 300. And that you experience: the woorden floor of our room accoustically acknowledged every step we took, and had a dangerous (especially...

We really had a fantastic weekend in the Castle of Wittem. I wan't to give you all our impressions of this hotel but I don't know where to start first !!!!! By far most impressive are the very, very friendly owners & staff of the hotel. From the moment we arrived untill the moment we left, we were treated as...

“We were supposed to have a room on the second floor but were upgraded to a room on the first floor. This spacious room was superb with a tiny window seat, comfy beds and a large bathroom with bathtub. I can't imagine that other rooms are bad but this one was really nice.”

“We stayed on the fourth floor below the rooftop of the castle. This was nice but a steep climb up the castle stairs. If you prefer less stairs, then take a room on one of the lower levels.”
