The staff work extremely hard in this restaurant. They are exhausted due to the current pingdemic situation, yet still act professionally and in a friendly manner. Amelia is one of the finest hospitality staff I have come across and worked with such passion right up until the end of her shift.

Excellent room, staff friendly and helpful. We got first class service through out our stay. Food top class. Fantastic views of the sea from the top of the hill . We spent two nights at the hotel and would make it my port of call next time I visit St Ives.

We stayed here for one night in July and first impressions were good. We arrived before the check in time of 3 but that wasn't a problem as we had some lunch which was very nice. The hotel is really well decorated but unfortunately the room we had was far too small for 2 people and in the hot July weather it wasn't relaxing at all. And at night it was just unbearable so sadly i didn't have a good night sleep. There was quite a few marks on the walls which could of easily been wiped and there was a big crack on the room mirror which little things let it down. The water pressure from the taps wasnt the best and for some reason the cold tap was luke warm? So when you fancy a cold glass of water it doesn't come, even after running the water for a while. The food here is really nice and so are the staff. But I would advisor arriving earlier if you can as parking can be limited.

Thank-you for taking the time to review your stay - we're pleased that you enjoyed the food & very sorry that the exceptional mini heatwave made your night uncomfortable. Please note that there is an overflow carpark opposite when needed.

We found this hotel a bit depressing. The main road is noisy and the sea views will include the road. We were here for a week and were glad to leave the dark depressing public areas. Individual staff were lovely and attentive and helpful, others not so much. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast very good. Evening dining not so good, especially in the dark miserable part of the dining room. The hotel looks more like a big house on any road in a city. We had seen the pool picture, no longer on the website, which misled me in thinking that the inflated price included the pool. ( it is in the Carbis Bay hotel, at a cost). Will not return.
