An arts & crafts country lodge in the beautiful Alandian archipelago. The lodge is situated on a peninsula with the Alandian sea on both sides. The farm-house is extended and restored by Hans himself, who is a former carpenter. We have been eager to keep the farmʼs Alandian atmosphere and together with the impact of Jackieʼs English heritage it has become a pleasant cross-over between the local culture and some British influences.

Detailed Reviews
Our third year in a row visiting Bjornhofvda Gard. Our stays have always been perfect. They make sure your visit seems cosy and very homely. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Simple with nice effortless touches. Breakfast is also really good. Homemade bread and marmalade also cooked breakfast made straight for you. Tea selection and good coffee. Simple breakfast but quality ingredients. The family dog Brunello is the cutest. Our family is always super excited to go there and already planning our next visit.

What an excellent start for the summer. In the arrival Hans personally welcomed guests and this warm personal touch last over the whole stay on every aspect. We spent three nights in this relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I'd definitely visit again and I could make the visit as a tradition. We had one dinner and breakfast every morning. We loved the English style breakfast. Homemade, quality ingredients and cooked breakfast made just for you. Extra points for the fresh local apple juice and the real Italian coffee machine made it perfect.
Only criticism is the bathroom faucet which is just too English with separate warm and cold taps.

What a lovely place with great atmosphere. The rooms were so beautifully decorated with every little thoughtful detail. Jackie & Hans were welcoming and warm hosts. They are obviously good at what they do and their care for the guests is reflected in the atmosphere and in every little detail around. The food was fantastic so it is an accommodation that we are happy to return to and recommend to everyone.
It is a great place to stay and enjoy beautiful scenery, warm hospitality and a first class restaurant.

We made our 2nd visit to Hans and Jackie (and Brunello) after seven years. It was already an excellent place but since then they have developed the property and premises to the perfection. What a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the landscape, hospitality and top class dining in the new veranda. The host couple obviously love what they do and it refelects in the atmosphere and in every detail around. There is simply no space for any improvements - keep it like this

We spent two nights at Björnhofda Gård, including one dinner, one lunch and two breakfasts with 7 people including 3 children.
Excellent service and superb food, a very pleasant experience with a nice atmosphere, but anyway with good accommodation and standard.
English oriented which shows in e.g the choice of beverage and the afternoon tea.
Great place, well recommended!

This place is built and decorated with utmost sense of style. The comfort and passion for beautiful details is breathtaking. Björnhofvda is peaceful and exquisite.
The Superior room was quiet, comfortable and beautifully decorated.
We enjoyed Christmas dinner which was served on planks with traditional Christmas dishes. Small portions of each dish divided on 6 planks ended up to be quite a lot of delicious food. As we were the only guest this night, Jackie served our breakfast in front of the fire place in the morning which was cozy.
The hosts are warm hearted and makes your stay worth every penny. I highly recommend to stay here!

Just by luck I ran across this B&B on the internet and boy am I glad I did! Planning a short stay with my family in Åland started to search after somwhere nice to stay within our budget. Contacted Jackie, the owner, through email and sorted everything about our stay really smoothly. Arriving at Björnhuvud we immediatley fell in love with the place because it has so much carachter and is decorated with such love and care. We very much enjoyed our stay and especially the attention to detalis from Jackie and Hans (for example the beautiful baby crib they put in our room for our daughter) and they made us feel right at home. If you have the time also take a walk in the beautiful countryside. Breakfast was very nice sitting in the porch while someone is preparing breakfast for you! I hope may visitor will find there way to this treasure!
