The rooms are clean and stocked daily. Our chambermaid Anna Keila was awesome. The food is fantastic and you will not starve here that is for sure! Our waiters Jose Ortiz and Oscar were a lot of fun and gracious hosts. The beaches were clean and hardly any seaweed. Check-in was seamless and the entertainment was okay too. The Bahia Principe brand is fairly consistent with its other locations. Services and staff were wonderful. Thank you Grand Bahia Principe Romana!

On arrival my wife and I were assigned a room on the upper level (of two) in block 25 whose balcony overlooked to pool. We had a drink in the Lobby Bar before being transported with our cases to the room. There were no issues with the room; it was a standard hotel room with large double bed, bed-settee, armchair, tv, mini-fridge (stocked with beer, soft drinks and water), wardrobe, drawers and safe. There was air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was a good size with twin sinks, bath/shower toilet and bidet. Nothing was broken and everything worked and was in reasonable condition. There are a few reasons we would not return to this hotel. The first category may be considered as complaints, the second as matters that others may want to be aware of before booking. Firstly, the 'hot' food in the Buffet Restaurant that we used for breakfast and some evening meals, and in the Beach Restaurant where we took lunch, whilst being of more than an adequate quantity and variety, was generally not hot. There were other issues such as, during breakfast, fried eggs not being ready (why wait until they're all gone before starting to cook more?!), and my personal hate of muesli being 'diluted' with other chocolate flavoured cereals. Fortunately we were allowed seven meals each in any of the three a la carte restaurants so this lessened our need to use the buffet. We found the food and service in the a la carte restaurants very good. Our second complaint is that on four separate days - three during the first week and once during the second - the pool bar ran out of rum and/or gin and/or tonic and/or Pepsi. This wasn't late in the day after they'd been drunk dry but shortly after opening in the morning. I thought this was incredibly poor. Third (and last) complaint is with regard to the daytime activities organised by the Entertainments Team (ET). There is a published itinerary for activities but beach volleyball, for example, didn't always take place and the ET didn't bother to encourage participation. Some of the other games are very poor too. Throwing two bean bags into a box with a hole in it just didn't excite me; we're used to having mini-golf, archery, and properly organised volleyball to keep us active. Now, a couple of things to be aware of...... We'd expected a crystal clear sea to swim in but it was very murky. Not the hotels fault but inland rain washed silt into the sea so it's not guaranteed. Secondly the hotel is very busy Friday to Monday with people visiting for the weekend. Service at the Pool Bar slows down and there's queues for the restaurants at breakfast and dinner time. Lastly, I found the hotel so LOUD! At the pool there was the music from the bar competing with the music from the ET. Of an evening the shows are so loud and as the theatre is open to the lobby the music playing there competes with the shows and adds to the cacophony of noise. For some peace I would sit at the end of the pier at the beach. During the day there's a cooling breeze too. We're British and would normally go the the Canary Islands in the autumn but chose the DR for a change. With the disappointment of the hotel plus the 8+ hrs flight to get to the DR we'll probably be back in the Canaries next year.

This was our first time to the Dominican and we were hoping for an amazing holiday. The trip fron the airport was let’s say interesting 😳 didn’t feel safe at all! The hotel is on its own with not alot round it but as it’s not to safe to venture out this was fine. Hotel it’s self was good easy check in and golf cart straight to our room 👌 The rooms are decent size with his/her sinks and pretty functional, the beds we had were rock solid and not to comfortable. The hotel gardens were kept Pristine and the place was spotless, a bit dated and needing some TLC in parts but on the whole not a bad hotel. The food was ok plenty choice but a big repetitive as all inclusive tend to be, there was a fair few instances were the food was like warm at best and very rarely did we eat a meal that was fresh and hot (apart from the al a carte). The al a carte restaurants were good and a welcome break from the buffet! The snack bar on the beach was decent if you got in early there was lots of nice prepared seafood and salads. The bars and bar staff ! OMG 2 complaints to guest relations due to been overlooked or totally ignored ! My daughter went to the bar 2 times and both times failed to be served! If you’re from the Caribbean no problem getting served! Spanish speaking second to the Caribbean people getting served and seems the English are last or ignored! Worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel and this was across all the bars, this got worse on a weekend when the locals came in. They totally took over the place and it was a challenge trying to get drink and also when lunch/dinner came it was chaos and a lot of rude people that waiting in line doesn’t apply ! The beach is nice but if you’re expecting blue Caribbean waters don’t go here ! 2m out and you can’t see a thing it’s just brown. Overall wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the experience we had and there is probably way better hotels in Punta Cana that will serve you a better holiday.

After four years of not going anywhere, it was time for a long overdue R & R. Plus, it was my time in the Carribean and I could not have asked for better weather! The resort was beyond amazing and exceeded all my expectations. The grounds are beautiful full of tropical plants, and trees. Also, they are well-kept and groomed daily by the groundskeepers. The resort does fumigate every eve and I wasn’t bitten by a mosquito at all! The private bay and beach are beautiful, however, the water is quite murky (not their fault). My room was also huge and super clean. Everywhere you look, the resort is extremely clean and well-maintained. In terms of activities, you will never be bored. There are daily activities for all ages, plus a disco and a casino for the adults. There is even an eatery in the resort village open from 10:30 p.m. – 7 a.m. daily! The food & drinks selections are amazing, with tons of choices to choose from daily, including the three a la carte on-site restaurants (requires reservations, but free in your inclusive package). Also, I'm very impressed that the whole resort is disability/mobility-conscious. There were wide ramps everywhere for people in wheelchairs to maneuver easily. There were even special designated beach loungers (and a bit more spacious area) for people with mobility difficulties. I have to say, the real gem of this resort is the staff! Everyone was extremely courteous, friendly, warm, and eagerly waiting to assist you in any way. A very special thank you to: LAURA (Guest Services) – Thank you for your warm smile daily and for always checking up on me! BLADIMIR, DARBI, ALDO FRANCOIS (Reception) – Thank you for the warm check-in reception and for making my checking out so seamless and easy CLAUDIO, RONNY & YORQUIS (Beach Restaurant) – Thank you for all your excellent service, and smiles while I ate there every day at lunchtime KRISARIO GONZALEZ & OSCAR SANTANA (Orquidea Main Restaurant) – You both are just simply amazing! Thank you for all your warm, friendly & efficient service every day! Looking forward to another Bahia Principe adventure in the future!

Our room was very nice on the second floor with a balcony. After five minutes in the bay I was stung by a jelly fish and witnessed the same happening to many people. The water is brown with almost no visibility(Dates 10/21/23-10/28/23). The pool was clean and warm. Service at the pool bar was poor. The buffet meals were excellent as were the ala carte restaurants which had outstanding service. Wine served at the buffet was not drinkable although the house wine in the restaurants was quite good. The staff seemed overwhelmed on weekends. There were plenty of chairs on the beach.

We originally booked to stay here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary , on arrival we found we had been upgraded along with other guests to The Bourganville Luxury hotel across from Le Ramana , a bit shabby trouble with out toilet blocking trouble with the shower that trickled out every night very very slowly , carpets in the hallways were filthy , adult only pool was nice and warm but no body monitored the beds , the little curtain tents had two beds in they are small and for couples , you get a family of 5 and they try to oust you out to fit in and then it gets nasty won’t go back again , food is ok although a bit same ish every night , in the main restaurant , I would say caters mostly for Spain ish , all spoken language is Spanish , a lot of Spanish foods , not much choice for English, the hotel knew about our Silver wedding anniversary but didn’t acknowledge it , where as others birthdays and anniversary’s were with room decs and door banners

Listen... Be careful. I was at this resort for my anniversary and I was caused to slip on their floor (not fall) and sustain serious injuries to my left knee (total ACL tear, meniscus tears) requiring surgery. This resort did not care about what occurred on their premises due to their negligence (no signage, no weather/rain carpeting to protect us. After they were notified, that's when they apologized but but but I had to pay out of pocket to see the on premises doctor and I was confined to the room (had to beg them for a lower floor) for the duration of my trip. And the only way they would help me is that if they were given tips (literally, I had staff tell me that give me money so I can help you and guess what I did cause my leg had literally stopped working). After I returned home and sought out proper medical care and notified the hotel that I was seeking reimbursement, they apologized for what occurred but refused to properly compensate me... They wanted to reimburse two nights. Even that was an issue because double charged us and refused to refund that as well. Listen, this is not the USA... If you get injured on premises, they don't care and you will not be reimbursed for your pain and suffering. Beware! I don't want anyone to go through what I experienced. As proof please see attached. This message is based on a real life experience.

The entertainment team really strides to make a great impression. Specially with the kid activities. Every night they have the kids jumping and dancing. They had a really nice Lion King Play which they had kids from the resort participating in as extras. They also did a circus show and prior to the show they had the kids on the swings as well as dancing w the hula hoops and gave them fresh popcorn. As far as the adults they also have something to do at all times of the day at the pool and in the afternoon at the common area. The entertainment group really does do their best to keep everyone happy and in a vacation vibe!!!!
