We stayed for a week in a deluxe studio. The apartments have been renovated tastefully and the whole complex has a nice relaxed feel about it. We were a family of 4 and the deluxe studio we booked was not as it was presented in the pictures on the website, it was much smaller than we thought it would be, there was hardly any storage space for a family of 4 and no where to sit and eat inside. The location of our room was great, on the ground floor, right by the family pool, which made it perfect for the children. The location of the apartments is away from the centre of port de pollenca, about a 20 minute walk, and 10 minutes to the Beach (which we didn’t mind). There’s a bus stop 5 mins away which takes you to Alcúdia and the old town. Our first impressions on arrival weren’t great, prior to arriving I’ve read reviews about small room sizes and rooms not being set up for a family. We arrived at midnight, hence I emailed in advance to check both that the room size was suitable for a family of 4, and that the sofa bed would be made up on arrival, I also asked again at check in and was told, that the room was set up correctly. Unfortunately neither of these happened, and I had to spend the first 30 mins hunting for bedding around the Complex, and making up the bed myself. Also we arrived at midnight tired, and thirsty and we’re not even offered a glass of water to welcome us, nor was there a bottle of water in our room. Not a great welcome. Overall the apartments are nice, but I feel the management need to ensure the rooms are appropriate for number of people in them. And that guests requests are appropriately and honestly dealt with.

Property's Favorite Review
We arrived at Las Velas to find that we’d been placed in Room 102 which was not suitable for a family of four (kids aged 12 and 9) and was plagued with building snags including a sliding bathroom door which did not close properly and a jacuzzi with exposed pipes that only looked partially finished. We complained to both the hotel and Jet2Holidays and they arranged for us to be moved to Room 302 which was excellent. The room was situated close to the reception area, was a decent size and really nicely furnished with none of the issues we’d experienced in Room 102. Would we return to Las Velas? Yes, definitely but not to Room 102!

Just returned from a nine night stay. Place looks quite modern and bright but on closer inspection it’s done up on the cheap. Our premium studio had a two inch gap under door, lots of earwigs, and shower flooded the bathroom cos of design! The sliding bathroom door did not shut by around three inches. Should have asked to move really…the whirlpool baths are ludicrous, absolutely no privacy afforded. They are a complete waste of time. Sorry but would not return…

We stayed in a deluxe studio 125, our review will follow what most others have said. It’s a holiday venue, people bring clothes, yes some will bring far more than others, but 4 coat hangers and no drawers. Luckily I bring everything but the kitchen sink, so always have coat hangers with me and had brought extra. Also use packing cubes so left clothes in them. But I’m not in a hostel so please put some drawers in, like others have said under the counter is made for them. Also nowhere to hang towels to dry which is important as although was told we would be cleaned every other day, you don’t. If you go home on an odd day it goes to 3 days and the place doesn’t look it’s best and the towels we got had seen better days. Now talking of towels, we soon found we could get fresh bath and pool towels in the laundry section. We had a rooftop whirlpool, which was great and we got shade as we were in the middle, but be warned the flooring and round the pool get unbearably hot. Towels are needed and shoes nearby. The stairs we had to the rooftop were very tight. Also up there was a fridge and sink and table and chairs. But getting things up and down isn’t the easiest. Tip if you go the rooftop take your phone, the maids locked us out one day 🙈 The Wi-Fi was blooming useless, it worked in the room and on the rooftop, but not on the balcony or by the pool 🤷‍♀️ The kitchen was stocked with small bowls, huge spoons and a few other things, we needed a can opener and asked at reception, the next day one was there for us, brilliant. Along with my coat hangers I had packed mugs and tea and coffee. The cups and saucers are tiny. A cloth, sponge and washing up liquid is supplied, but need to go to reception to get more. As others have said a broom would be handy especially when you don’t clean as often as you say you will. The pool is small, but plenty of sun-beds and brollies. No information in rooms, about reception opening times, fire procedures or how to ring reception from the phone when you need them. Would I stay again, probably not, there are too many negatives for me, the balcony was so hot first thing that meant eating breakfast in the room and there’s no where to do that really, apart from the bed. The cleaning wasn’t brilliant, bed changed once in 9 nights, and the green duvet covers are a hideous colour 🙈

Deluxe Gold Studio, room 405. I'd been really keen to see how it looked as there have been hardly any photos of the new block. We travelled as a couple in our fifties. We loved the room but there are a few things that would improve it in my opinion. Negatives.... No wardrobe, so it always looks untidy. Extra cupboards under worktop gap is would be good, either for clothing or somewhere to store food. Stairs are a hazard to banging head, not lots of space to walk through between stairs and end of beds. No shade on roof terrace, only after sun goes behind neighbouring building after 5pm. The surrounding of the whirlpool bath got very hot, some padded cushions would stop you burning your bottom as you got out! No washing line, and nowhere to hook my travel line as there is no balcony rail to attach to due to it being glass. An incredibly wobbly dining table! A draining board or drainer for dishes would be a good addition. Sealant around sink and toilet very messy. Lots of woodlice, came straight under door as no frame. I expect their habitat has been disturbed as the building is new. (Could be due to the rain in the big storm?) I don't know if we would return during the school holidays, as the children dominated the pool closest to us. Positives.... Modern accommodation, quality fittings, fab bathroom/shower. Air-con was brilliant and easy to operate. Reception staff were all lovely. Loved the whirlpool bath and used it a lot, never used the pool. No need to reserve loungers as they were always available. Great location. Less than 10 minutes to the beach, 15-20 minutes to marina area. Great for catching the bus as the stop is a few minutes along the road. 5 minutes to supermarkets.

This is a fabulous place to stay. I am so fussy but this place totally satisfied. The full complex is newly renovated in a very tasteful manner. Beautiful interiors & Landscaping is also lovely. All staff were really friendly, helpful & lovely. It’s a 15 minute walk to the main area of pollenca, the advantage being this complex is nice & quiet. We are 2 adults and 8 year old child & the studio was perfect size with a balcony with table & 2 chairs. Everywhere is kept spotless. We were provided wit pool towels also and you could get beach towels from reception. Kitchen had 2 ring induction & microwave so perfect for making breakfast & lunch. My kid loved the two pools. The bus to Cal Vincent, Formenter, Alcudia, pollenca, Palma all leave from the same road hotel is on. Perfect spot to be based for day trips. Pollenca is low rise, quieter resort. If you want nightclubs, boozy wild nights out then look elsewhere. It’s full of families. Majority are English tourists. As it’s a resort there is not huge amount of Authentic, foodie Mallorca restaurants…. They all aim at tourists. Pizza & pasta& burgers been on all menus. Beaches are Sandy & water is perfect for kid- no sudden drops. Quite a bit of shelly rocks in water so sea shoes are good idea.

These are lovely, recently refurbished apartments in a great location. The apartments are modern and staff are helpful. With two pools and plenty sun beds there is always lots of space available. The rooms are modern and functional if not huge (ours was a premium studio so others may be larger). We felt there was enough space for our family of 4. We had an issue on arrival when our room type was not available. This was rectified the following day and we were provided with some sparkling wine and fruit as an apology. The manageress was also very helpful and reached out a number of times to make sure we were happy. Jet2 also arranged a refund of the difference in room price for that evening. The location is excellent for the bus to Palma, Alcudia, Pollensa etc. it’s about 5 mins to a number of restaurants and small Supermarkets, 10 mins to a larger supermarket and about 20 mins to the centre of the resort. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a small, quality and family friendly place. There’s no restaurant or food offer but we knew that. There is a small bar offering alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. It would have been nice to use the gym in the Cabot Spa Hotel or at least get a discount but I was told by reception this was not something offered.

This is our third stay at Las Velas. We were aware of the renovation and had enjoyed our ground floor apartment last year. This year we had a deluxe apartment with a roof terrace which was absolutely wonderful we were surprised how small the bedroom and living areas, compared to having a spacious two-bedroomed apartment last year but it was still a wonderful 14 days. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and we had no problems with the housekeeping with the towels changed every other day. We particularly enjoyed being at the smaller pool, plenty of sunbeds and the new umbrellas were absolutely brilliant. We are looking to book again next year I have sent the manager an email and I'm waiting for a reply. Wonderful holiday and we will be back! 🤞🤞

We stayed as a family of four in these newly renovated apartments and loved it! The interior design is stunning and has a wow factor. The location was perfect for us, short walk to the beach and a slightly longer walk to puerto pollensa centre but this was meant a much more peaceful holiday with all the amenities not far away. We absolutely loved the area. The biggest love for us was the fact there were always loungers available by the pools whatever time of day we went for a swim. The pool areas had a very relaxed feel to them. The children’s pool had a great range of depths for younger children. The lifeguard was friendly. We paid for a day all inclusive at the sister hotel pollensa park down the road and had a fantastic time with daytime pool entertainment and splash park and the evening kids disco was a big hit. We were glad to get back to our peaceful apartments the next day though. We stayed in a deluxe studio with a rooftop jacuzzi and sunbeds. It was beautifully decorated and stunning. Unfortunately we barely got to use the rooftop due to the lack of shade. It really needed a parasol or similar to create some kind of shaded area. It was far too hot until sunset to use. One other little niggle we found quite strange was that for a self catering apartment we didn’t have a table and chairs in the apartment. So we either had to eat in full sun on the balcony or terrace with no shade or we tried dragging the balcony furniture into the apartment with only two chairs and had to eat in sittings which doesn’t make for a relaxing family mealtime. Obviously with older children it probably wouldn’t matter as much but for us with a 4yr and 7yr old mealtimes were important opportunities to get them out of the sun for a bit. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. The cleaning wasn’t done very often or particularly thoroughly but we tended to clean up after ourselves as we went along mostly. When we arrived we didn’t have the sofa bed made up which was frustrating arriving in the middle of the night. We weren’t provided with enough bedding for the four of us and the sofa bed only had a bottom sheet. We had to make do until the morning and then asked multiple times until we just found a laundry trolley and had to help ourselves. Towels were changed on request once but not a second time so again had to go looking for clean towels. I feel bad mentioning any negatives as we had such a lovely holiday but I think the negatives could easily be fixed so I hope that they are constructive. Overall the place is amazing and has such a lovely relaxing and calming feel to it. We would definitely visit again and already looking to book for next year.

I have just returned from cabot las velas, after 1 week with my partner, and the in laws also stayed in another room. Our room was 301, right next to reception which was great as it has the bar. The room was large, large shower, large comfy bed, nice kitchen with kettle, microwave and toaster, large TV, comfy sofa, big wardrobe, good aircon, lots of usb ports, nice outdoor area with table, 4 chairs and a hottub that you fill yourself hot or cold. No umbrella for shade. We were very impressed with the room and really enjoyed staying there. The only downside was no privacy around the hottub, with next doors hottub very close with nothing in between. And the room was not cleaned until day 7! We asked and it never got done apart from we were given some more towels on day 3. Not good enough. The in laws paid more than us and when they arrived they had a tiny room, not sure which number, and asked to be moved. They moved to 222 which was bigger and had the roof terrace, but no wardrobe, just a hanging rail, and was much smaller than ours, but they did have the upstairs space. They also did not get the room cleaned until they complained. The smaller pool to the right of the reception is the one we used, plenty of beds and a pool shower. No life guard seen at all all week. The pool was warm and lovely, even if slightly on the small side. There are 4 buildings, for rooms beginning with 100, 200, 300 and 400. Building 3 is the one with reception and the bar and the big rooms, none with roof terraces. Building 4 only has 5 rooms with their own roof terrace by the pool. They looked nice from the outside. Buildings 1 and 2 also have some rooms with roof terrace. None of the roof terraces have umbrellas for shade, and some of them have narrow, windy stair cases which would be difficult to use for certain people. The TV had Google play so u can download Disney, netflix etc but you have to download and sign in every time, which is time consuming. We found it easier to cast from our phone to the TV, using the button on the remote. 10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to spar shop, great location. I would definitely recommend these apartments but make sure you know which sized room you are getting and consider your own needs. We fell lucky with the big room and other than the lack of cleaning it was really great.
