Stayed here for 4 days mid October for a solo cycling trip. Very pleasantly surprised with hotel after reading some reviews. I couldn’t fault it. Great comfortable room, cleaned every day. Breakfast great, fantastic facilities, quietish when I was there as out of season. Upgraded on last night to evening meal on last night and wish i had done it earlier, great service. 15 minute walk to centre. Great for cycle hire from Procycle Hire and some brilliant rides. Cant wait to go back.
Having been to Pollensa Park every year for the last 30, with the exception of 2020, I frequently wonder why I, my family and many others return there year after year. The conclusion I have reached is, simply, that the hotel in particular and Puerto Pollensa in general, has everything I want from a summer holiday. Thirty years ago, there was no air conditioning, breakfast was merely a croissant and a bun, there was no lunch provided but the sun shone without fail, the pool was the largest of any hotel in the port, the friendly atmosphere was enjoyed by everyone and my memory tells me that the dinner was exceptional. Add to this that the photographs of the superb view of mountains and bay shown in the tour operator's brochure were taken from the balcony of the first room we ever had and, there is no doubt, that the impressions gained on that first visit have been confirmed over time. Over the years, I would have expected that the successful hotel would have been snapped up by one of the large chains but it has remained a family owned business, which appears to the outsider to reinvest much of its profits to improve the infrastructure. Never has a year gone by without noticeable improvements being made. Since 2019, the solarium has been extended even further and, I would guess that when normal occupancy returns, there will be sunbeds for all be it around the pool or in the gardens on Bali beds, meaning that it will no longer be necessary for anyone to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a bed but if they still wish to do so, then so be it, it is their holiday as well as mine. This year, I was able to spend a month at the hotel from mid September to mid October and even in this late part of the season, the sun shone on most days and swimming in the outdoor pool was still not a problem even towards the end of my stay. For my part, however, I preferred to swim in the indoor spa pool which, because of the booking system, I was able to enjoy in solitude with soothing music playing in the background. Bloke bliss! The friendliness of the management and staff was, in my view, the best it has ever been, may be in part because everyone is grateful to be working again but more likely that they feel happy and secure in their work. Some of the restaurant staff have been there for the entire 30 years and many others were there are the turn of the millennium. It would be wrong to single out any one member of staff as my comment applies to everyone from senior management through each and every department. A great deal of effort has been made over the last few years to increase the range of dishes available at dinner and this, in my view has been successful in terms of both quality and presentation. On most evenings there is a freshly carved roast for the traditional guest or whole baked salmon for the more adventurous. Show cooking of steaks, chops and fish occurs every evening and desserts are well presented and invariably rather too morish. Like them or not, it is fact that Mallorca is now one of the prime locations for cyclists to enjoy their sport and, because of the efforts it makes, the hotel tends to attract at least its fair share of them before and after the high season school holiday peak. A stroll around the lower ground floor of the hotel reveals a laundrette, a secure bike storage area and secluded seating area where they can take a drink and share boring stories about their last ride in the mountains or debate the benefits of the latest developments in pedals and chains. I am a relatively easy going widower but no anorak, who has shared family holidays and made solo visits to Pollensa Park for 30 years and, probably, because things seem to stay the same but always get better, if you catch my drift, I plan to return year after year until my zimmer frame finally bites the dust.…
We had a great week at Pollensa Park Spa , friendly staff on reception . Rooms were cleaned daily, food was plentiful with a good selection each day . The hotel has some great facilities Its a short walk to the beach which is lovely with some trees for shade. There is a lovely tree lined walk along the sea front The hotel has bikes for hire too and the cycleways are excellent . A great hotel
I returned on Tuesday after a fantastic 2 weeks' stay. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I was all inclusive and food was plentiful and there were always snacks available between meals. As a solo traveller, my room was fine, although it was above the service yard. The short walk to the beach and cafes was fine, and a supermarket right outside for things you forget to pack. Also a short stroll to the bus stop. All in all a GREAT experience. I have just booked to go back next October. Thanks to all at Pollensa Park.
Reception staff helpful, although some unintentional inaccurate info given regarding buses and travel. An hour or so of varied entertainment each evening was nice. For €10 deposit, there is an option to have clean beach towels everyday and providing you return these, you get your money back. This was great for us. Buffet disappointing. Not many fresh grilled options. Recycled food each sitting from the previous meal. Alcoholic cocktails pretty poor, but the measures of spirit and mixers was good. Small room for 3 people. Cleaning of the room basic - water bottles not replenished unless asked - dirty cups left in the room for days even though beds made. Out of season meant we didn’t get the same service when visiting previously. Examples are the food choices, and snacks throughout the day (this was just pastries left from breakfast and salad sandwiches next to the main bar which is minimal compared to summer offerings in the yellow bar) No ice creams/slush for the kids during the day either which meant although we were all inclusive, we had to fork out at the local shops. Most of the staff were friendly and this was the most positive thing about the hotel. The location is great, however, due to a lot of the above, unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again.…
I stayed here for 3 nights with my mum for a relaxing weekend. We did have a great time but probably wouldnt return as it's quite expensive for what you actually get. I definitely wouldnt come here in high seasons as the pool area and buffet area would be crazy busy. This is mostly a family hotel with some older couples and cycle groups. Definitely not for anyone looking to relax or for couples. Good points -rooms cleaned daily and cleaning staff very lovely and friendly -friendly reception staff -fri night singers were great -pool area was nice and no problem getting sunbeds or umberellas -nice music during the day if quite quiet -super quick walk to gorgeous beach & shops Bad points -buffet was hit and miss, some days it was great but definitely wouldnt have done for more than 3 days although always plenty of fresh salad (we did eat out a few times cause we were bored) -buffet food was not labelled well ie quite a lot of food with shellfish/fish in it with no info to tell you this so not great if you have an allergy -walls in rooms are paper thin you could hear everything and every door slam or child banging a ball off the floor (not great when you want to snooze) -mum got told off by one of the older female staff with light coloured hair in the dining room for using a coffee machine at 10:30am when breakfast had apparently finished but this was unnecessarily rude as the dining room was still really busy with people having breakfast so a bit cheap to be complaining about someone wanting a coffee when the room was still packed. Also a joke when you consider that they often ran late and had the doors locked for the first 20mins of the mealtime -staff attitude around the buffet and bar was hit and miss as well (some of them really didnt want to be there and they made you know it) -the juice machines for breakfast are rank like really poor quality -rooms quite small and outdated (nothing wrong or bad with them just not 4 star) We did really enjoy our stay but it would be more accurate to describe it as a 3 star and manage expectations. Also for 3 nights it was great but I would be super disappointed if we were here for longer …
Although a basic 4-star hotel, it is a great place to stay. Extremely clean; all of the staff very friendly and pleasant; close to the beach; huge choice in food. An easy walk along the promenade into town, where there are lots of restaurants too. Sea very clean too!
Hi … Staying at this hotel at the moment. Lovely atmosphere and loads of nice people . The food has been very disappointing especially at night . It would appear that we are late in the season guests reciving exactly that treatment. One grill meat or fish each evening please see photo at 8.30 this evening.. This hotel would appear to be living on past reputation and will certainly not get return guests from this experience . No fresh bread at all Yours
There really isn’t anything other than good things to say about this hotel. Every staff member from reception to the housekeeping staff clearly do their best for their guests. There was one or two guests that I witnessed being a little less than polite on occasions - for example if they had to wait a few minutes to be served at the bar during busy times. But again the staff were still polite and patient. Communal and our room (a suite with amazing views of both the sea and the mountains) was comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. Food was good quality and well prepared. Entertainment and facilities cared about and well kept. We had a super stay and would be delighted to return. Thank you and well done to everyone at the Cabot Pollensa Park Spa!
Another lovely holiday at the Pollensa Park Hotel and Spa. As always everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The view from our room was stunning, especially the sunrise. Food was plentiful with lots of choice. There were lots of daily fun activities if you so wished to join in, (highly recommend the aqua gym), and the evening entertainment was varied and entertaining. We were there on the day the queen’s death was announced and all activities/entertainment were cancelled for the rest of the day as a sign of respect. This was greatly appreciated. This year, the hotel has introduced a new no smoking policy in the hotel and around the sun beds. This is a massive improvement and made our stay even more enjoyable.
