We stayed here for a week in September with our one-year-old. Pros - The bedrooms are really spacious and possibly the cleanest I’ve ever seen. We had a ground floor with Bali bed which was nice although in the shade most the day. The hotel provided a baby bath and cot which were in the room when we arrived. - The pool is fantastic for little ones. We loved the lagoon and the fact it wasn’t too deep. It was also surprisingly warm. - Location. Peurto Pollensa is a very pretty area and we loved the warm sea. - The staff are friendly and helpful. Cons - The food in the restaurant was below average, and you could smell the bins every time the door to the kitchen opened which was particularly unpleased whilst you’re eating. There was no kids section, and the selection was small (no pancakes at breakfast). The tables were also crammed in so you felt on top of one another. We preferred to sit outside. We really enjoyed our stay but felt the hotel was let down by the restaurant. Sadly we wouldn’t return due to this.

We (couple with toddler) stayed here last September for 7 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The staff are incredible and so friendly. We opted for a terraced room which was very spacious and had everything we needed. The food was good too lots of variety. Great location and easy walk to the sandy beaches, shops and restaurants. The pools were great and plenty of loungers. Having the shop on site was really good too. We never usually go back to the same place twice but we are definitely going back here and can't wait to return later this year.

We stayed here as a family The hotel itself is small, friendly and in a stunning location. It’s clean, well kept and the pine walk across the road into town is a lovely stroll. All in all we had a very relaxing week here. Having stayed at many 4 star all inclusive hotels this one did not impress or disappoint. We were expecting a little more based on all the positive reviews on here. The good points? The location is stunning. Rooms are spacious. Showers are powerful and hot. Beds are comfortable. The staff work very hard to make sure you have everything you need. There are ‘key staff’ who are friendly and helpful and always willing to help when they can. We particularly liked ‘the boss’ in the restaurant he was a friendly and funny. There was never much of a wait at the bar. 2-5min max. The pool is clean and perfect for under 8s especially, but nevertheless our 11yr old son still enjoyed playing in them. The hotel tries hard to put a variety of theme nights on in the restaurant. Moroccan, BBQ, Mexican, Spanish, Chinese, Indian etc. There is a good variety or meat and fish. Hot pasta dishes cooked especially for you, but there can be a queue. Lots of lollies and ice creams you can help yourself too. The snack bar serves hot dogs, chicken wraps, burgers, salads and cakes/biscuits. The fridge is full with sandwiches. There are water stations around the building, bring a water bottle to use these and keep your water cool. Crisps and nuts at the bar around 4pm is a nice addition that we have not seen in other hotels. The entertainment team are fabulous at what they do! They know the children and do a great job with they younger ones. The younger children adore them! The spa is lovely. We only used it the last 2 days to get out of the heat for a while. We wish we had used it all week. Very relaxing and refreshing. You have to wear a poor hat these can be bought for 3€ or bring your own. Our children likes the little cats around the restaurant and the frogs in the pond. This hotel is very safe for little ones. Small enough to know exactly where they are at all times. The disappointments? The pool is not very big and or deep. We did not feel it was very cold and refreshing especially by the afternoon . The food is ok. Something for everyone but not the best we have had at all Inclusive hotels. The bread is very hard. The children were not keen on the pancakes and waffles which has never happened before. Pizza was ok. The kitchen try a cater for vegetarians but as many hotels abroad, they have not quite got it right. The restaurant lacks a relaxed atmosphere and is more of a place to eat and then leave quickly. The waiters do not come to refill your wine, you need to catch their attention. Only ‘the boss’ came to ask us on the nights he was working. Plates in the restaurant were often not clean and had food residue on them. There is nowhere to sit at night to have a drink and relax. It’s the loud and busy entertainment area or your own room. No chill out area or air conditioned bar to go to. If you don’t want to watch the shows then you have no option, you either go to your room or leave the hotel and find a bar or restaurant. The entertainment is the usual magic show, dancers, singers etc. The rooms are cleaned daily but we often found other people’s hairs on bedding and on towels or stuck to our feet. We found broken glass throughout the week, even though it had smashed on our first day. Also hairs on napkins and table clothes in the restaurant. Our bed sheets were not changes all week. My daughter spilt a drink on hers and they turned it around and put the stain at the bottom of the bed. You are not able to choose how cold the air conditioning is. It is set at 17. It is set to this constantly, you can put it up but not down. When 3 people are getting ready in a room it did not feel powerful enough with showers, hair dryers and straightening irons on it was stuffy. The toilet and shower glass is not very private but again, I have seen this in many hotels and we managed to get around it. The daytime entertainment is fun for little ones but not really for ages over 6. We booked here after seeing the HUGE football pitch on the main photos as our son is football mad! However, we soon realised that football only happens twice a week and our son said it was very boring, more about skills like passing and shooting and no game! He was very disappointed. He only went once. The sun beds are reserved 7am. They start as early as 5.30am. If you want a certain spot then be ready to get up early. Some guests were putting towels down when they were going to bed at night. Some never took their towels in and left them pegged on the beds for the week. The corridors in the blocks are noisy at times throughout the night. People returning after a night out and guests arriving/leaving. Some mornings young children screaming and shouting. The fridge in the main living room with the second bed is very loud - turning it down to number 1 is the only way to stop it. You can hear lots of noise from the rooms above, chairs moving, doors slamming and toilets flushing. The snack bar has little for vegetarians only salad or chips. The bar staff seem tired (2 in particular we tried to avoid). Some did make an effort but on the whole we felt that they were not cheerful. They were usually polite and greeted us so maybe just due to the heat, long days and a busy season. We were on an early checkout leaving at 6am. It would have been nice to be able to get a coffee or some cold drinks as we waited for the coach. The receptionist did not speak to us or acknowledge us. He slid our room keys anyway on the counter and that was it. There are many guests at this hotel who have returned many times over the years and it’s clear that they know the staff well. We felt at times these guests were treated differently to others. This is possibly where so many of the positive reviews come from. Overall we enjoyed the week. We thought this hotel was lovely, but with a few changes could be so much better. It would not be one we would book to return again.

Returned from a week in Majorca at Playa Mar Hotel, the good: staff in general were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and the spa was great, the bad: the soundproofing in the rooms is terrible, on our last night the hotel was due to close the following day and they filled up the hotel with parties of guests who were incredibly noisy, we did complain on reception but they just said they were not a party hotel although they were aware of the extra noise created by the one night only guests. If you are looking for a good night sleep at the end of your day make sure you have a good set of earplugs.

We had a fantastic week at this hotel with our three children. STAFF One of the best things about this hotel is the wonderful staff, from the restaurant to the animation team to the cleaners. They all work extremely hard and are so pleasant, particularly with the children. Our 6 year old loved the mini disco. ROOMS The rooms were spacious and always very clean. We chose the added bonus of a garden, which was situated right behind the playground so it was fully enclosed and safe for our toddlers. FOOD There was always plenty to choose from at meal times and items were always well replenished, even up to the very end of service fresh food was still being put out. LOCATION Although it is a walk to the nearest cafes, the quiet location was very nice. The walk along the beach to the harbour was lovely. Paths were pretty wide and flat and we were able to push our double buggy up and down each day no problem. POOLS The outdoor pools were great, albeit obviously quite cold in Oct/Nov but there was lots of variety to enjoy. The only thing that we felt could be improved was the indoor pool. Children were only allowed in between 12 and 4 (which we didn’t see as a problem). However, it is not very well lit and there could be more signs to show that there is a dramatic drop from one of the shallow sections. It states 1.1m at the edge but there is no indication that there is a sudden drop to nearly 2m. My husband was holding one of our toddlers and went under with him not realising. The lifeguard on duty was looking at his phone and so didn’t even realise what had happened. We did bring this up with the reception staff but just don’t want it to happen to anyone else. We would recommend this hotel to others and would consider returning in the future.

Just finished a week's all inclusive holiday with our two children (2 and 4). Overall we have had a really enjoyable time. The room was excellent, spacious and very clean. The pools were great, plenty for kids (2 childrens pools with slides - one for smaller children, one for older ones), plus another pool that started shallow for the little ones but got deeper for adults to swim. The entertainment team were fabulous - struck the right balance between enthusiasm without being overbearing. They worked to include all the children (this was the first mini club/disco our children felt comfortable at). The food in the restaurant was delicious, great selection for adults, however we felt choices in the restaurant were limited for children. There were lots of choices at the pool bar though. All the staff around the hotel were so friendly. The location is great, being near the pine walk / 1km from the harbour. My husband ran along there everyday and we took a couple of strolls with our kids. The only minor niggles we had were that check-in took a very long time (over half an hour) which is frustrating. You have to pay a deposit for towels in cash of €10 per towel in cash which is retuned to you at the end. This is a) a lot for a family of 4, b) not something we've had in a 4* hotel before, and c) a pain as we'd then be left with €40 in cash which we didn't want. We just used our own towels. The tables in the restaurant were very small, the tables for four only sat two comfortably. This was exacerbated by the fact that the waiting staff were very slow to clear plates (we cleared our own numerous times, and saw others doing the same). This added stress to dinner time as with two children we were worried about things being knocked over on a cramped and over crowded table. However all in all this was a wonderful holiday and we are looking forward to returning one day.

This was our first all inclusive family holiday and we were nothing but impressed throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious for us and our children and the facilities were excellent. Great pools, good balance of adult only opening time in the indoor pool and time for the children to go in the middle of the day, excellent food choices in the main restaurant and then snackier options in the bar when having a pool day etc. The 2 things that stood out the most were how helpful and happy ALL the staff were (from the reception, waiters etc all the way through to the cleaners ) and secondly, the great atmosphere that the entertainment team created for the children (Paul, Sammy and Andrea (thanks for the glitter tattoos haha!) Each night with as much energy as the day and night before! Thank you very much and we hope to return in the future!

We travelled to Puerto Pollensa as a group of 6 ladies for a special get- together. This hotel was a perfect choice, providing everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing and entertaining short holiday. Rooms were spacious enough for 3 adults and all areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space and sunbeds available around the pool area at this time of year and we were able to make the most of the pleasantly sunny weather while also taking advantage of the indoor pool and spa on the few hours it rained. We were quite impressed with the quality and quantity of food available ; plenty of choice at all mealtimes, including a different theme for dinner each evening. ( The Mexican was especially tasty! ) As other reviewers have mentioned all staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Although we were a group of adults we could see that families and children were especially well catered for; this hotel is a great spot for families. As for ourselves, we were well entertained by the musical acts and the quiz night, which all contributed to some great memories of our stay. Puerto Pollensa is a beautiful location and we enjoyed our regular walks into town and along the beachfront. We had a fabulous time and definitely hope to return at some point in the future .

Just returned from our 4th visit to this hotel, staff just as welcoming as ever, animacion team are brilliant (big thumbs up to Nacho Paul Sami and Andrea) Food offering excellent with plenty of variety although breakfast sausages were of poor quality Restaurant reception and bar staff all very welcoming Only complaint is the cyclists parading in their lycra in the restaurant in the morning and in the bar area in the late afternoon and also taking over the area outside reception in the mornings which inconveniences other residents The management needs to give serious thought to creating a dedicated area of the car park for them to muster as we will not be returning
