My wife and I just spent 5 nights here as a base for our future house hunting trip. We were met by Maribel, she was so friendly we thought we had known her years, she could not do enough to help. The room was spacious with kitchen and sitting area, it was clean and comfortable. Having breakfast and all you...

When we entered the Guadix region, coming from Granada, we were immediately impressed by the amazing, eroded landscape which reminded us of our visit to Arizona and Utah. We traveled at the end of October and what added to the grandeur was the amazing autumn yellowing of the abundant poplars in this region. Cuevas La Granja had been booked for...

Difficult to find but worth the effort. Amazing country with the snow capped Sierras in the distance. It is a good stopping off point on the way to Granada. The caves are basic but very comfortable and remote. Only the calling of peacocks and the braying on donkeys to disturb sleep. The rooms are neat and comfortable. We used the...

My wife and I stayed in one of the lovely caves for one night in October. We found it just by chance on our Andalusia trip and enjoyed the silent location with a nice view very much. The upper caves are designed modern in "Hundertwasser-style", Living, bed room and fully equipped kitchen are furnished tastefully. But the best was Silvia,...

Stayed in this hotel a few times and have no complaints. My review is for the restaurant which we visited on Saturday 2nd. It's peach season here in Benalua so the restaurant did a peach themed meal. Four courses, two drinks and a coffee for only €20! The food was fab, all the courses contained peaches but it was not...

I have always wanted to stay in a cave and found the experience surprisingly cool, literally! No aircon needed but possibly a blanket. These caves are very comfortable with kitchens and sitting rooms and everything one needs. Nice pool too. The restaurant produced a very tasty knuckle of pork and our hostess was very helpful and friendly. Couldn't find anything...

This is a small resort of 18 caves, a restaurant, free laundry and pool situated about 8km from Guadix and about five minutes stroll from the small bars and stores of Benalua. There is free parking and it is easy to locate, though the most important point is probably that the caves are comfortable and fun, the gardens are excellently...

We stayed in cave 15 in April 2014. The place is absolutely amazing! The cave was fitted with all modern fittings, including an iron and board. The decoration was of a high standard. We had two rooms (each with en suite) and there was plenty of room. There was a wardrobe in each room and plenty of drawers. The kitchen...

“Stayed in the Suite Almareas. I would recommend it because it has a big bath tub with jets. I have been told that all the rooms have really nice bathrooms but the only one with the jet tub is this suite. Remember that all the rooms have kitchens, which is nice if you like to cook for yourself.”
