I recently hosted an intimate retreat at the Boghill Centre. The land is quite special, not too surprising for this part of Ireland, and hosts a lovely stone circle that has the energy of those much more ancient. It feels as though it had grown in place, and when asked appropriately, spins within itself, connecting us to the stars and...

I like Boghill, people meeting there, the nature, the horses in the field, the circle stone, the garden and the vegan food ... Near two villages, you are in the nature, you can play music (irish music of course), practise ceramic activity, discover the area (Burren is really near the Centre) and the Cliff of Moher.

I just needed a place for one night and had stayed in a lot of pretty good hotels on this 3-week trip. This was much less expensive and much more basic but in many ways more enjoyable than the others. I had one of the en suite rooms. Very basic but clean and everything needed (including bright light and window...

...attending one of the workshops of the Boghill Centre in Kilfenora might be an idea. I came for an Irish Music workshop. Other people were making pottery or taking long strolls through the green environment while the music classes were on. The vegetarian food we got every day was amazingly varied. The atmosphere was good, guests and hosts were very...

Our family (kids aged 7 & 9) spent a week at the Whistling Along family week at Bog Hill. We all had an excellent time. Gentle and playful morning yoga was a good was to start the day; the kids learned to play some tunes on the Tin Whistle, and my husband and I learned some basics of fiddling (to...

If you are looking for luxury, don't go to Boghill. If you are looking for an (eco-)friendly, warm place to stay while visiting the beautiful Burren, don't miss it! The food was excellant and almost all home-grown or local produce. The people, including the large and international group of volunteers, were all very friendly. They offer different workshops, including one...

My stay at the Boghill was a vegan's dream! The food was yummy and the day trips were fabulous. The hosts care about the individual experiences of each of their guests and do their best to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. They are caring people who have a standard of excellence that was well achieved during my stay. I...
