Anawangin and Capones Isalnd These two islands in Zambales are great places to start your summer getaway. Island hopping and relaxing under the heat of the sun while you are seeing the beauty of Zambles. Surely, you will enjoy your vacay. If you prefer white sand, Capones island would be perfect for you and in addition there are also rock formation. There is also a spot there where in you can climb at the top of a cliff and have your instagrammable shot with the breathtaking view of the island. Well, if we are talking about adventure, Anawangin Cove will be perfect. It isn't white sand but you can definitely enjoy swimming in the beach since water is not too deep. There are also water activities you can experience such as Banana Boat, Jetski and many more. And if you really want real adventure, trekking is allowed in there where in at the top you will see almost the whole Zambales. You can check-in in the various hotel resorts or transient houses in Pundaquit and just rent a boat to experience island hopping or you can also stay at Anawangin Cove and build your own tent.

My friends and I went here for an overnight trip. The room we chose is good for 8 pax. 2 double decks. Each bed good for 2. My rating would have been 5 if the room was bigger. But this discourages you from sleeping. Clean. The room does not include breakfast. Try the Bangsilog. Yummy.

My friends and I (group of 8), out of the blue, decided to have a weekend getaway to Zambales; where almost all of us were first timers. Knowing that one week planning prior to the trip wasn't enough, we didn't expect to get good deals of hotel in the area. We tried other hotels but unfortunately, most were either fully booked or can't accomodate larger groups. Luckily, we stumbled upon Nora's beach resort on the net. The person manning the hotel's phone was prompt enough to answer all our inquiries and was kind enough to suggest activities to try in Zambales and also offered discount to their boats (for island hopping) that we decided to make a reservation (no downpayment needed but needs to pay cash upon check-in). When we saw the actual resort and its location, we had mix emotions (leaning more towards excited). We love the resort location because it's one of the few that are beach front, a few steps away from the beach. Imagine having a breakfast (sipping coffee that goes with the pancake) with a nice view of the beach while the salty air hits your face. The beach front is great for strolling (with quite a stretch of greyish/whitish sand) and swimming of course, if you're not effy with the boats docked on it. But if you ask me, i think it's part of the view; "life is a beach" indeed or is it "beach is life". I also love that when we arrived at the resort, the owner (tita nora) personally welcomed us, and made chit chat about her humble beginnings up to her rise to the top (yey for women empowerment) which makes it more special to us. I tell you, that lady is a talker which you can definitely take advantage cause she will gladly give you tips where to buy fresh sea foods (and pasalubong) that you can bring with you on your island hopping (which is a must by the way). The room is very clean with a cabled flat screen tv and an aircon that's not noisy, with clean bed sheets and comfy pillow. It has a functioning water heater, but unfortunately no bidet (bummer). The room were in by the way is a bit small (being the lowest costing room) for 8, that is if you're planning to have a staycation and maximize the resort on your whole stay. But for us, we fit in just fine and had a good night and comfy sleep. You can have a larger room though for an additional cost pf course, complete with your own kitchen and all. Overall, this resort is great for family and group of friends. It's a great value for your money. Cheap but can very much satisfy your basic (beach weakend getaway) needs plus more.
