We stayed at this resort early Dec 2017 after finding on the web, we wish had read some reviews first, if had read reviews we definitely would not have stayed there. The big family rooms are located in part of an old converted house so it is noisy because of the open plan living style of the house. The room and shower area was big and roomy but the beds are very old and squeaky and all of the fittings are old and lose, the room has a balcony with a view of the South China Sea which is nice but has no access to the beach from the balcony, if you want to go down to the beach you need to go through the house and then back through the house to back to the room, because of this we never felt that we were at a resort and could not comfortable while there. The pool was very dirty and as we were the only guests at the time they tried to clean it by adding way to much chlorine chemicals so much so that our 5 year old son got skin burns from irritations. We spent most of our time away from the resort and actually eat at another resort in the area. We never tried the food here because it appeared to be over priced. There are some great attractions close by but I would advise against staying here unless there it’s the last resort. (pun intended)

+: The staff helped renting a boat for island hopping for a reasonable price. The location: it is on the seaside. -: I tried several times to contact the hotel for information on how to get to the hotel from the bus stop, no reply. When we arrived it took some time to locate someone. It was clear they were not prepared for our arrival. The room was dirty and had the smell of a room that was not used for a long time, the air was vapid. The door to the bathroom was basically impossible to move (it was not sliding).

The resort personnel should improve their customer service because we felt their coldness in treating their customers. There is nothing spectacular and memorable about this place. Pros: 1. The room is average clean. It is also spacious enough. 2. Plus points that the shower and faucet heater are properly functioning. 3. Great that there is cable TV. 4. Aircon is working properly and cool enough. 5. Resort is beachfront, similar to other resorts. 6. Room was already ready upon my arrival at 1PM. Checking in was a breeze. Cons: 1. No toilet paper provided. Perhaps you could request from the management though. 2. Bring your own toiletries and towel as none is complimentary. 3. The swimming pool is quite small yet almost 3/4 of it is deep at about 5-6 feet. It is really not a pool to just lounge around and enjoy the water. There were even a bunch of big guys, yet they all crowded to one side that was shallow. Clearly not a Filipino-friendly pool. 4. Their customer service should be improved. They don't really care about making their clients' stay a pleasant and memorable one. The mature lady in the front desk appears cranky / "masungit", and makes you feel unwelcome and an antagonist. No smile ever crossed her lips and her words and facial expressions were piercing. 5. They don't have complimentary water. You have to buy. 6. Their food is pricey for what you get. 7. They didn't reply to my email to confirm my booking and payment. They requested me to email them the deposit slip after I made my payment, but no email reply was ever received. Good thing though that they acknowledged my deposit when I called them over the mobile phone and upon resort arrival. But it was very strange that they lacked confidence if I indeed have settled my room fee because they asked me again if I already paid upon resort checkout. This is a clear indication of ignorance and being lax on their part. ---------- Tip: Try out the neighboring restaurants instead as Pundaquit Luxury Resort's food is pricey and serving is small. Even the 1 liter water they are selling is twice that of Nora's Beach Resort. Will I recommend this place to my friends? As a LAST OPTION if other resorts are fully booked. Should I decided to go back to Pundaquit, I'm better off staying at Nora's Beach Resort.

Made a reservation and down payment 3mos prior out tour date... 2days prior with our "supposed" stay here, i called the resort again to ask for the island hopping details only to find out WE DON'T HAVE A ROOM RESERVED FOR US... great! I really do early bookings and reservation with my tours because I DON'T WANT ANY HASSLE of where to stay especially on peak season... what irritates me at first is that the reservation specialist(if she really is one) asked me stupid questions instead of verifying first the details and our email convo through TEXTS only like "naka book po ba kayo samin", "kanino po kayo nag send ng deposit slip" stuff like that... if i don't initiate the call, we won't easily understand each other... then she finds out that the room we wanter was already booked to other client... TAKE NOTE that she send me thru email THE BOOKING ID and TRANSACTION NUMBER which makes me think before that we are already booked in this resort (by the way it took me 2 days of ffup to receive a confirmation of our reservation from the day i made downpayment) anyways, blessing in disguise that she immediately booked us with the nearest resort from them (NORA'S BEACH RESORT) and i can say that just based on how they welcome their customers coming in their resort, Nora's service is way more better than this resort. So JUST BEWARE when you book at this resort... you might want to call from time to time just to make sure you are really booked here. By the way their pool is too small vs.with the number of guest so i suggest look for a resort that offers good customer service and not just a resort with a pool in pundakit.

"Luxury" here is termed too loosely. First off, we choose not to make reservations online and opt to look in Pundaquit for other options. Turns out, there really aren't that much resorts in Pundaquit other than those you found online. We end up in Pundaquit Luxury resort for 1. the 1st resort is already fully book and 2. the resort nearby doesn't look as neat. It has variety of rooms; beach front kubo that looks kind of small, rooms good for 2 to 4 that have beach view and mountain view (the latter being bit cheaper than the former), and a room on a beach front (4k rate). The resort has limited parking space, a swimming pool (starts at 5') and a small (really small) kiddy pool at the end. The rooms are located in a separate building (not able to check this, more on why below). The first floor of a modified house is where the reception office, kitchen, laundry and supply area is. Their deluxe room is also located inside as you enter the house. You go inside the office, they have a small kitchen, a laundry area, the supply room, a dining area, a living room area and stairs to the second floor. I am not sure if you are allowed to stay in the living room area or to dine in the dinner room. But there was a time that evening that a group of foreigners where dining and all the staffs were outside and the door was close (we know coz we booked the deluxe room and we have no other way but to pass). The deluxe room is huge and the bathroom is almost the size of their regular rooms. It has a direct view to the Capones island and the sunset (you are in Zambales). The tainted windows hides you from the outside. There is a sliding door that leads to the garden but it is jammed lock. It has queen size bed, a split type A/C, a ceiling fan, a 21"TV (too small for the room size), a couch, drawers. The bathroom has toilet, sink, a bath tub (which is dirty and only have cold water) and a shower stall (with hot/cold faucet). The problem here is that the bathroom has a door to the outside, so don't forget to make sure it is lock. There are no dim lights in the room. They serve food which is convenient as there are no grocery stores or restaurant nearby. The grilled dish are very well cook and you can dine in the garden area. They offer boat rides or island hopping to the islands nearby - Capones and Anawangin for 1,500.00. The service... oh my. They try but it feels like they are not even trying. Its crazy. First there is this "nanay" who manage everything yet is oblivious to what is happening. There's this girl, which I wasn't able to get her name because she keeps disappearing, who is certainly jolly and will entertain you and assist you. There are kids which nanay orders around yet they don't seem to do her bidding. It was a mess. The rooms are not yet cleaned so we have to wait. And even then it is still not that clean. Then they forgot to give us towels which turns out that there are no dry towels available (I always carry my own). The deluxe room despite its presentation is just that, its too noisy. You are near the kitchen, it has door on the bathroom where you can hear people and its close to the garden. It doesn't come with a complimentary breakfast. Bring your own car as Pundaquit is not really accessible by commuters. The beach is not an ideal place to walk during the night as there are a lot of insects. The waves are also rough and filled with boats as it is the drop off point to Anawangin. You are better off swimming in Anawanging than in Pundaquit.
