If it's possible for the community area of a camping ground to have ambiance this one does with guests quietly congregating around the fireplace. Beautifully landscaped gardens define each generous sized flat site. Power showers in the clean bathroom top off the experience. Dinner at North Drift cafe down the road made our time in Ahipara well worth the visit.

Stayed here as I read reviews elsewhere. This holiday park is a little out of the way but its in a nice location. I'm a television kind of girl and the room I had, had no tv but there were televisions available in the share kitchen and in the main building. My room was functional and basic and offered a... This van park was lovely. The amenities are A1. They have a lovely common/games/TV room with open fireplace, I wish it was cold when we were there so we could sink into the comfy lounge in front of the fire for a while. We had gone over our internet usage on our mobiles so it was refreshing to find desktop... More

Kia ora Just wanted to say that this is the best holiday park we stayed at during our holiday up north. Could not fault any of the facilities, spotless toilet and shower facilities and lovely tent sites with surrounding trees. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a motorhome on a powered site for two nights the first week in May. At this time of year the holiday park was nearly deserted and very quiet. The weather was also fabulous, warm enough to leave the windows open, but not too warm as to be uncomfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen were top notch. I love... More

We had a self contained little unit with a deck + table outside. Tidy, great bed, tv with sky, table and kitchen area. Good shower but overall the bathroom was a little cramped. I was allowed to used the hose to wash all the sand and salt off the car after 90 mile beach which was nice of them. also... More

Helpful friendly staff booked Cape Reanga tour for me which was also picked up from the camp. Then also arranged surf lessons. It's only 5-10min max easy... More

Good quality Kiwi camping ground. Easy access to beach, 5 mins walk. Booked on a 90 mile beach trip from the camping ground. Good price for a full day out and picked up from camping ground. Used Dune Rider Co., good knowledgeable guide, stop at Kauri shop with its hollowed out spiral staircase, pleasant lunch on east coast beach, short... More

My wife and I stayed here on a powered pitch in our rented camper. We were met by the owner at reception who was friendly and helpful. The park is quiet and the facilities are clean and well maintained. There is a well-stocked kitchen and BBQ area open to use by all. There is also a laundry and washing lines... More

Accommodation excellent....the check in at reception....dreadful. The woman that runs this place should not be in tourism. No such thing as a friendly hello or any conversation. You should be plugging this place like there is no tomorrow not moping around the place with a face like thunder.
