We have had an amazing stay here, we hadn't realised before we arrived it was an Art Deco hotel but wow fantastic. Fantastic and welcoming staff and great food. We stayed as it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary we enjoyed it so much that on the drive home I booked us in to stay for my husbands birthday...

Having recently returned from an overnight stay at the hotel I have good and bad points to raise. We stayed in a lakeside king room which was very clean with a comfy bed, however when we informed the reception that we had no towels in the bathroom we had to wait another hour before I went back downstairs (down three...

We stayed one night only, pretty tired and triumphant after several days wild camping. In our tents a day had not gone by without us dreaming of the comforts of the Haweswater hotel and it did not disappoint. They could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, very individual, and had recently been redecorated so everything...

I booked this hotel without really paying too much attention. We were planning a visit to the archives in Whitehaven to further our family history research, we didn't want to stay in Whitehaven itself and this hotel seemed to fit the bill! On arrival we were instantly stunned by the beauty of the location! This was the start of a...

We have lost count how many times we have visited this hotel now but each time it never fails to impress. We know how stunning the views are but on every visit it still has the wow factor and just seems to get better. Despite the hotel going through some extensive renovations we were not affected by this in any...

Remote location, miles up the Haweswater valley, once you are here, you are here, but what a place. Wonderful 1930s interior, very nice people, lovely food, great views. This isn't over the top luxury, but a place with real character that we will definitely come back to. Also, I almost forgot, red squirrels running about in the garden each day...

My husband and I have just got back after spending 2 nights in this amazing Hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself has been done in art deco, keeping with the theme of the build. The food was very nice too. It was just amazing watching the red squirrels whilst having a lovely hearty breakfast. The...
