Mountain Centre Petehovac located in the beautiful Croatian mountain region Croatian called Gorski Kotar. It can be reached within minutes from Delnice by car up the hill, along the paved road. Mountain Lodge is at an altitude of 1034m and surrounded by pure and unspoiled nature, the diversity of flora and fauna and many biking and hiking trails. The view from our hill is fantastic for relaxing and on our terrace you can use our holiday loungers.Inside the building there are 12 rooms with 30 beds capacity, but they soon will be increased to 60 beds. The rooms have been recently renovated and are always impeccably clean, as well as their bathrooms. Restaurant capacity of 100 people, open daily from 13 - 21h offers local specialties such as venison stew with gnocchi, mushroom soup, wild berries strudel.Our staff is nice and friendly and they will gladly help you to organize your activities and trips around the region.

The place was full and they accepted us without reservation. We waited some 20 minutes for the table and that is ok.
During the time we waited for tbe table, no one came to take our order for drinks.
After we sat at the table we immediately got menues and then waited some additional 15 min for the waiter to take our order.
It was 6 of us and we just wanted to have a quick lunch, so we went after main dishes only and some salads.
We got the food after 30+ minutes!? Mince meat from barbecue was small, gulasch ok, and pasta with mushrooms extra small portions with very few pieces of mushrooms. Very dissapointing.i woild recommend this only if nothing else is free. This is how we ended up here.

Simple hotel in the woods. Room was very clean, spacy bathroom. There are woods all around, nice for walks. Quite a different impression when compared with staying there in winter . It is actually a ski centre, but very refreshing in summer. The air is so pure that I enjoyed just breathing.

Situated in woods, it's a perfect spot for hiking and exploring the beauty of Gorski kotar in summer. The room is simple but very clean as well as the bathroom, but it is a really good value for money. The staff and the food are well above the average! If you are looking for a quiet spot to explore Gorski kotar, or just laze about enjoying the fresh air, it's a perfect place!

On 06.10.2024, I had my first and last visit to Petehovac.
They might as well put a sign on the door that says, "Guests unwelcomed"
Nine of us arrived with the intention of having lunch, but we were unable to because we hadn't made a reservation.
At the time, only about three tables were occupied in the restaurant, while several empty tables were marked "reserved," and no one sat at them during the entire hour we were there, drinking (overpriced) beverages.
The terrace tables were all empty as well, but the waiters informed us that they don't serve outside.
A few days before our visit, we called to confirm they were open, but they never mentioned that a reservation was required.

We arrived for lunch. Only one table was taken when we arrived. We waited for the soup 40 minutes. Main course was not at the table after more than an hour. No apologies were offered by the staff. When we asked when are we to get our meal, the waiter sad its crowed. But we arrived second and other tables were seved by this time. We decided to go eat elswhere. If you are hungy avoid. Or order 2 hours in advance... We were here once before. The food was good, but also waited longer than usual. Needs better management. The waiter went out several times carring ony one plate or only mustart, or a single salat indicating the food was not ready.

I have been only in restaurant part. It is easily accessible by car from Delnice. Food is very tasty, medium portions. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Nice neighborhood for walking and exploring. Affordable prices. Highly recommended!

A must to go place every time while we are visiting Croatia . Beautiful little place in the mountain , with great food and cozy atmosphere. We’ve been there in the summer and winter , always great and different experience!

The house is situated at really nice location, surrounded with beautiful nature. The interior is warm, with lots of wooden furniture and a fire place in the restaurant downstairs and clean and comfortable rooms upstairs. Staff and the lady of the house are polite, but the host is very rude, unreliable and seemed not to care much about the agreements he made with his guests. I was there with ten more people and we booked specific rooms that he gave to another group, pretending we didn't mention that. The food is really bad. We ate some surreal combinations of bad ingredients( pasta with shish kebab, soup with cabbage, rice and corn,bad sausages). Don't let them sell you this weird "fusion" as traditional Croatian cuisine.

We spend four days in Petehovac and it was beautiful.
It's situaeted a few kilometers in the mountains from the town of Delnice which is great location for visiting Gorski kotar.
Our room was enough big, modest, but clean and bright, with spacy bathroom.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, home atmosphere.
They prepare homemade food and it is very tasty. Good choice for breakfast.
The hotel is pet friendly.
We had a great time in Petehovac and will go back.

Situated in a beautiful landscape, Petehovac is an excellent weekend escape from a busy everyday life. June days are usually boiling hot and this cosy getaway 1000 meters above sea level is just a perfect place. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of Delnice and the surrounding area while eating a mouth-watering blueberry pie or sipping a pint of beer.
