We called into this hotel on the off chance looking fro a room very late at night and were given a very warm welcome by the reception staff. The owner is a prolific artist and the hotel reception is something between a kindergarten and an art gallery! We were shown to our room where we found no less than 11...

The hotel is very well located in Portbou and it is a very good choice once crossed the border. The price is acceptable, the hotel is clean, Staff are very kind and the breakfast is excellent. The beach and railway station is very near to the hotel.

Booked here while traveling toward the north end of Spain’s Costa Brava. Our online booking site didn’t really have much to offer for Portbou and the Comodoro looked okay, even though it received mixed reviews from previous guests. The hotel is an older building and in need of updating in most areas. The hotel and our room in particular were...

We came across the Comodoro on our way back from Andorra to Perpignan. Looking for somewhere 'different' to stay and away from the 'usual' tourist traps. Comodoro fits the bill. If you're into 'top' 4 star hotels, Comodoro will not meet your expectations. But we had a great but simple room with a terrace where we enjoyed a cold bottle...

The hotel is well situated in the vicinity of Portbou center and beach. It looks nice from outside and the reception area is very cosy. The rooms, however, are not very comfortable and welcoming - there is no a/c, shower is pretty much behind the curtain from the rest of the room, toilet is shared with other rooms, e.t.c. WiFi...

An old style hotel bursting with character. The owner, a genteel lady, is a bit of an artist and the walls of this hotel are covered with her own work giving the place a very personal touch. Our room was small, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking a courtyard. It must have been quiet as we slept well. The...
