Club Tapiz is ahotel set round three sides of a lawned coutyard, Our room was comfortable enough but neede some tender loving care, The ding room is well set out but we found the dinner menu somewhat unusual but after trying things out we found the food to be delicious as were the breakfasts. The hotel is a half an hour taxi drive from the town of Mendoza which we were not aware of, However the staff gave us a map ordered a taxi for us, even giving us a card to givr to thr driver on our return as he didn't speak any English. The hotel is on a vineyard and the malbec produced there was so good (better than some we tasted on our wine tour) that we bought some home with us.

Really pretty and welcoming hotel. Rooms are a good size with quiet air conditioning u it’s. Good bathrooms.
Swimming pool is cared for and a decent depth with sun loungers and umbrellas for shade.
Beautifully cared for. Restaurant on site is very good, small menu choice but all good. Breakfast was ample. It all tasted home cooked and veg etc is from the garden on site.
Wine tasting each night and a trip to their own winery is worth it and included in your stay. Fell in love with their Torrentes. Staff are so helpful and pleasant, highly recommend. It can be difficult to find on a sat nav so use the coordinates if you get stuck,

We were looking for options on a Monday night and Club Tapiz was one of the few bodegas open. We hadn't heard of it before so we didn't have high hopes but when we arrived we were greeted warmly by the somelier who poured us a delicious glass of wine as we walked around the beautiful property. The roasted leak we ordered was delicious and the ojo de bife was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended on any night of the week :)

Somehow disappointed. The pictures on the website are very attractive and it is a nice location and has some charm, but you are not far from a busy road and it is all not so quiet. The major disappointment was the quality of the service we did not expect from such an expensive place. There was some hair left in our bath tub. When asking the receptionist to receive the invoice after payment, he would send it by e-mail later. He never did. In the beginning when asking how much would be the payment in pesos, he would revert to me. He never did and I needed to ask him again. For the last day we wished to have a 7:45 am breakfast. The ladies arrived at 7:30 am. First they said no problem. Then they looked bad tempered when we pressed them a bit to get the breakfast, and we got a half breakfast at 8:00 am. In the evening there is a wine tasting with the other guests which is a nice initiative. The lady who presented the wine gave us no more information than what was written on the label of the bottle. The staff is too much acting like civil servants who work the hours for which they are paid, and that's it. No more!

Although the Club Tapiz is not a luxury establishment I can only speak well about the people that served us during our stay. They were always willing to accommodate us. I complained about the pillows being uncomfortable and immediately they replaced them for more comfortable ones. Always with a smile and a kind word.
The food was simple but absolutely delicious and it paired very well with the incredible wines.
I would suggest the owners to upgrade the beds. Perhaps we are used to bigger beds, but when you are traveling a good nights rest is very important.

I loved this hotel, it was my favourite place to stay in my trip around Argentina & Chile. My room had a large bed, wardrobe and bathroom, with view to the pool and vines. The staff were helpful and friendly and the best thing about the stay was meeting people in the evening for the inclusive wine tasting, but the value was more about talking to others and hearing their experiences and recommendations. There was a small menu in the restaurant but everything I had was good. My only area for improvement would be breakfast, the first day I was not advised that there were options for eggs/ omelet's etc. the last day when I did order an omelet, the person forgot to put my order into the kitchen, and only did so after an enquiry of how come people who had arrived later had been served.

Argentina is one of the most fascinating and fun places you could wish to visit. We spent a few weeks travelling throughout the country and this was a great stop off in this desert region. We stayed in the separate building away from the main hotel. First impression is not great but if you can overlook the slightly tired furnishings it is much quieter than the rooms at the front of the hotel which are plagued by very noisy birds and we were told the air conditioning was often problematic by other guests. Our room was large and we shared a large lounge area where we were able to take breakfast. This separate building also has its own pool. I always received friendly service. We dined in the restaurant numerous times and the food was good. However, we felt they should vary the menu a lot more. We were told the menu changes seasonally and so we became a little bored with the choices. We would return to this hotel but next time we would rent a car to enable us to visit other restaurants. I recommend visitors do the wine tours in this region, they are amazing.

We attended a wedding in Mendoza and stayed at Club Tapiz for 3 nights. Tapiz produces great wines, serves truly wonderful meals and provides a relaxing stay among vineyards and olive trees at the foot of the Andes. The Club houses a museum-class collection of ancient carpets from Central Asia: we asked to see it twice, we were so enthralled. The staff is delightful, helpful and impeccably trained. The manager knows everything there is to do in Mendoza and environs, from bike excursions to museums, from winery tours to hikes. She is great! We had a wonderful time - but way too short!

This is supposed to be a well known place. They have a good restaurant and free wine tasting. However, my room was leaking, smelled of mildew, furniture in bad shape, broken, only 2 outlets for charging phone and tablett. Had to ask 2 times for the uron.

The place, the service, the history, the food, the wines are excellent.
Luxury is not even a plus in these type of historic resorts but in 2022 some basics can spoil the best potential experience:
Water pressure, water temperature, water availability at all at some times….I assume the problem is not easy to fix and would require more than maintenance but…a Ferrari without gasoline is still a piece of metal.
