Francisco was a great host & guide for places to visit. He arranged for drivers to the wineries around Mapui. It's a bit of a walk to town, bicycles are available for rent nearby. The mountains are incredible this time of year.

A small, homely place to stay off the main road in Maipu. Francisco, and his beautiful dog (!) give such a warm, perfectly-tailored service that you can't help but love the place. The rooms and reception area are rustic which blends beautifully with the area, and Francisco's home-cooked breakfasts were a great start to a day! He also advised and... More

Stayed at Tikaykilla for 3 nights after spending a few night in another hotel in Lujan - our only regret is not staying here from the beginning of our trip in Mendoza! Francisco, the owner of Tikaykilla is extremely helpful and caring; he makes sure he helps with everything you need and he goes extra miles to ensure everything is... More

We spent 3 nights at the lodge, after spending a couple days in Buenos Aires, and prior to going to Santiago for a couple of days. Although we had an excellent time in both cities, our time in the Mendoza area ended up being the highlight of the trip-due to our experience here at TikayKilla!! Our host, Francisco, was amazing... Four of us (two couples) rented two rooms at TikayKilla for three nights so we could visit local wineries and olive orchards in the Mendoza region. We wanted something off the beaten path, away from the tourist groups where we could relax. Our visit to Mendoza was sandwiched in between three day stays in Buenos Aires and Santiago, Chile. We... This place provides the perfect base to explore the region. Francisco is one of, if not the most friendly and helpful hosts we have ever had the fortune of coming across. He is more than happy to make recommendations and will book anything you need to ensure you make the most of your time in Mendoza. The beds are comfortable,... More

Stayed here for three nights in January 2016. We arrived very late the first night, and Francisco made sure that there was a car there for us, and that we could get into the room ok. It's only four rooms, and we were the only ones there for two nights, so we had first class service. Good breakfast, bikes to... More

This is a 4 room lodge in a quite area of Maipú with a very relaxed atmosphere. Slacken the reins and enjoy a pittoresce landscape, delicious food and wine culture - not to forget the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this lodge. Our room was simple but clean with airconditioning. The breakfast is over average for Argentinian standards. You can... More

Oh how lucky we were to have chanced upon Tikaykilla lodge. The rooms of this little lodge are simple but clean. The bathroom modern with lots of hot water and the beds are comfortable. But this is not what endears you to this spot. It is the owner Francisco and the type of lodging he is creating. Francisco is extremely... More

A home away from home in the heart of Mendoza's wine country! A very quaint, quiet lodge with a beautiful green backyard and a gracious, caring, and extremely helpful host, Francisco.
