The lodge is a very cozy, comfortable guesthouse. We had a private room that was perfectly fine. The owner, Francesco, was super helpful. The first night we were there he had the grill going and we had some great steaks and Mendoza Malbecs. He also helped us order food or find restaurants the other nights we were there, as well... We spent 2 nights at the TikayKilla Lodge in September of 2015. Francisco was an amazing host, he showed us on a map the entire area and made wonderful wine, restaurant and attraction suggestions. Mostly wine and food focused at our direction. The Lodge is in a fantastic location off the main strip so the feel is very rural, but... More

Locaes near many wineries and restaurants it was very easy to hop on one of their bikes and spend the day exploring all these places. The owners were very helpful in planning your day and book anything you wish to do. Also full of information and a beautiful family to stay with.

We had an amazing stay here. Fransisco was extremely helpful from getting us set up with a great taxi driver, to renting bikes, arranging a hike with an outfitter as well as taking us into town to the local butcher to chose our meat to make a traditional Argentine meal. The rooms were clean and the added bonus was the... More

Francisco was a great host & guide for places to visit. He arranged for drivers to the wineries around Mapui. It's a bit of a walk to town, bicycles are available for rent nearby. The mountains are incredible this time of year.

A small, homely place to stay off the main road in Maipu. Francisco, and his beautiful dog (!) give such a warm, perfectly-tailored service that you can't help but love the place. The rooms and reception area are rustic which blends beautifully with the area, and Francisco's home-cooked breakfasts were a great start to a day! He also advised and... More

Stayed at Tikaykilla for 3 nights after spending a few night in another hotel in Lujan - our only regret is not staying here from the beginning of our trip in Mendoza! Francisco, the owner of Tikaykilla is extremely helpful and caring; he makes sure he helps with everything you need and he goes extra miles to ensure everything is... More

We spent 3 nights at the lodge, after spending a couple days in Buenos Aires, and prior to going to Santiago for a couple of days. Although we had an excellent time in both cities, our time in the Mendoza area ended up being the highlight of the trip-due to our experience here at TikayKilla!! Our host, Francisco, was amazing... Four of us (two couples) rented two rooms at TikayKilla for three nights so we could visit local wineries and olive orchards in the Mendoza region. We wanted something off the beaten path, away from the tourist groups where we could relax. Our visit to Mendoza was sandwiched in between three day stays in Buenos Aires and Santiago, Chile. We... This place provides the perfect base to explore the region. Francisco is one of, if not the most friendly and helpful hosts we have ever had the fortune of coming across. He is more than happy to make recommendations and will book anything you need to ensure you make the most of your time in Mendoza. The beds are comfortable,... More
