The rooms were each unique and beautiful and the views were stunning. We stayed as a big family and loved the serenity of the location, the pool, and the lovely common places. A truly memorable experience that we will never forget.
wonderful quiet venue. rooms are very unique with no windows or doors but comfortable with great views of the valley. rocky area. host Martin is great and into raptors. ask him for a ride in his plane. fun times with sakita and david our guides. if you like rock climbing this is the place for you.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Tassia. Our open air cabana perched on rocks with expansive views was achingly beautiful. the food was really healthy and inventive. The main lodge area is fantastic, again on a rock perch, with a nice breeze and inviting spots to read (me) or scout for game (my wife). We really enjoyed our Masai Warrior Guide David, his "intern" Sakarit, Mike the bartender and the other staff. Martin, the manager is lovely as well. We felt like a part of the family by the time we left. A trip to the local Masai village was educational and eye opening and I highly recommend it. We wont forget the kindness and great service we received here.
From the minute we landed we were looked after with great care by people who love their country and their land. Several game drives, including one where we ran into a tower of over 50 giraffes, many talks about history, nature, wildlife, tribes, tradition....hosted by Charlie and Sue and a great team of guides. Very comfortable rooms and facilities and delicious meals made us feel at ease and at home. Sundowners in the wild with training in archery, a hike up to the caves, sleeping under the stars... our group of 10 spent an amazing two days/nights at Tassia Lodge. Thank you team Tassia x
Tassia is unique, and not a traditional safari camp. Although there is a lot of game to see, it is less than in other areas, so your expectations should be different. For our family, Tassia was the fourth and final segment of our trip, so relaxing was most important to us, and Tassia delivers. We were the only guests for three nights, so we had the place to ourselves, which was nice. Sitting on my boulder "porch" watching the sun come up was as fun as any game drive. It's all good--the walks, the games, the guides, Blood Mountain. Martin and his family are fun and interesting as hosts. The lodge is 2 1/2 hours from the Lewa airstrip, so unless you helicopter in or fly to Tassia's airstrip, prepare for the long BuMpY ride, through villages and ever changing scenery--saw 6 rhino on the drive out! I'd advise making it your last stop as we did, as its best feature is the relaxed atmosphere.…
