Wow! An amazing place and experience! The location and scenery at this small and very cozy resort is difficult to explain beyond “AMAZING”. On a cliff, overlooking Apo island and amazing Sunsets! Lounge in the pool for some unearthly sunset views and star gazing. They staff were OUTSTANDING! So friendly, helpful, very attentive, made us feel at home. The food at the restaurant was so delicious and fun. HOMEMADE ICE CREAM! Best food we had in the island in our 18 days on Siquijor. We booked at Kayawan for only 3 nights. We could not leave! Repeatedly extending to eventually 13 nights there. The stair case down to the ocean, descending along the cliff, is so unique and beautiful. Easy to snorkel and it’s beautiful. Though I had injured my knee before arriving to Siquijor, I was still able to do some scuba diving (I want to do more!). Very nice dive site and the dive shop on the property is very nice and well equipped with new gear! We stayed in an ocean view villa. WOW! So comfortable, classy and fun. The bathroom is “outside” through a back door of the unit. So fun, luxurious and unique. It is an amazing design feature which my words can not capture how nice it is. Just fun showering (very privately) outside! Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not say they have the best scotch/whiskey selection I have seen in the Philippines. Especially outside of Manila. Wow! (Rumor is they have already replenished much of what I consumed 😱🤣🤣) Siquiijor is now my favorite Island in the Philippines and Kawayan is my favorite resort! (NOTE: they do not recommend this place for children, and as a father, I have to AGREE! You are on a cliff! There are rails, but these will not contain a young child!!! )…
My wife and I spent a few days of our honeymoon here and we wish that we had planned to stay longer. The environment, food, service, and amenities were outstanding. We got lucky and pretty much had the place to ourselves, which was awesome. Major points to the kitchen staff as we couldn't believe how great the meals were. Also, the exclusive snorkeling/diving available right out front is all-time. Siquijor is a great island with lots to see and experience. If we make it back, we will definitely be staying here again. My only recommendation is that they provide better Signage from the main streets because it was difficult to find, especially at night, but downloading google maps ahead of time will be your best bet if you're driving yourself to the resort.
We stayed 6 nights there. We enjoyed stay there from beautiful scenery, swimming, messages, nice staff, helpful management, and services they provided. Can be considered as good place to stay in ph.
The pictures cannot do this resort justice. The personnel were all fabulous. The fresh daily menu always had plenty to offer, we both gained weight. Our villa was outstanding, very comfortable. We basked in the Sun, played in the awesome pool that has shelfs down to a diving depth, lovely temperature. The stairway down the cliff to diving opportunities was brilliantly planned and executed. I had two two-hour massages, Vern had one two hour massage. The prices are extremely reasonable and satisfying. Kudos to both Charlita M and Ceniza O for their skills. The owners are devoted to the place and it clearly shows in the result. They assisted with getting us to a bank, and also with our ferry tickets moving us over to Bohol island. We highly recommend this lovely holiday resort, almost unnoticeable from the road. One level arrangements so no balconies. Wi-Fi was good, no actual live TV but lots of apps from which to obtain programming.…
Perfect place to chill and relax for a number of days. Unique, stunning view - if you are lucky like us you see a family of dolphins pass by- nice, well designed and maintained bungalows. Great food, with several Swiss specialties, pair it with a wine and you can enjoy the sunset and have a stress free time. The Swiss couple running it are very helpful and the stuff are impeccable. Diving and snorkel gear available, and the cliff is just in front of the resort.
This hotel may be slightly expensive, in terms of cost of stay and dining, compaired to other hotels. But must say, that I think it was worth all the money. Stayed in a fantastic cottage, with a sea view, lovely large rooms. The cleaning was very thorough. Internet works fine. The food was so good, that we ended up eating at the hotel every day. The menu consists of 2 starters (about 200 pesos) 3 main courses (about 500 pesos) and 2 desserts (about 200 pesos) to choose from. Was out diving / snorkeling with them, service was great, and the equipment was in order. The staff is very friendly, and well mannered. Lived there when the corona virus erupted, and the owners helped us a lot, in finding information about our return trip, would like to thank them many times. Is very isolated, so if you want to go out every day, it can be a bit of a problem, for us it was nice, because we loved the tranquility and peace.…
We stayed here for 3 nights.beautiful setting overlooking the ocean especially at sunset.because it is so isolated once you're there its not easy to go other places without booking their scooters or van. The roads there ( the last 10 km) are even too difficult for a trike. However the setting and the food once you're there are spectacular.
This was a beautiful corner of paradise, a credit to the owner. What a lovely surprise, hidden behind a rusty gate on a dusty track. Set in lovely gardens with views over the sea from the cliff side, it's fabulous. A series of steps takes you straight down to the sea and your very own section of coral reef to swim and snorkel. The rooms were lovely with a comfortable bed and a beautiful outside bathroom. The service here was the best we encountered anywhere in the Philippines. The staff really could not do enough for you. We stayed here for 3 days of pampering, rest and relaxation. The only downside here was that you are not very close to a town and restaurants. It is possible to hire a scooter here at a reasonable cost if you want to explore. We found the nearby roads to be quite challenging and therefore did not do as much exploring as we would have liked. Fortunately the food here was good, with a choice of three different starters, desserts and main courses each evening and a good choice of wine.…
We spend 5 wunderful days in kawayan Holliday. We enden up in the hotel due to some unforseen changes in our planning. From the first minute in the resort we felt really good taken care of. Very sweet staff that is helpful and takes the time to do everything the right way. No stress and no pressure in whatever is needed. Our children enjoy it a lot, and could spend all day in the pool. The rooms are very luxury. All is clean and functional. The house reef is still in good shape. Good snorkel and excellent diving. The resort is slightly of the main road, but all the way worth is. All the best to the staff from us, from Denmark.
Every second spent there is a treasure! Place, views, food, swimming pool, sunset, services are part of the best experience that I've had traveling. You feel like crossing the heave's door. Congratulations for the customer care! Congratulation to the managers and employees: Cherissa for the best presentation of the dinner and infos, Christel for the real customer care, Jessa Mae for the nice welcome that we had, Ceniza and Cecil for the best preparation of the breakfast. We will remember with pleasure all the nice moments spent there.
