We stayed at Blanket Bay for 5 nights in September 2016 for our honeymoon and were not disappointed. The premises itself is of fantastic quality and architecturally impressive, with spectacular views that are amazing. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel extremely important, as was every guest staying at the property. Every staff member came and... More

Blanket Bay has everything you could want in a lodge. Beautiful views, comfortable common areas with open fires to relax in, and friendly, efficient staff to cater for every need. The food was all first class and our suite roomy, comfortable and clean. The only downside was having to leave.

From the moment we arrived until departure, we were absolutely pampered. Our suite was luxurious. A huge bedroom with every amenity including a fake fire for atmosphere although it did get a little chilly at night. A massive walk in bathroom with dual basins and separate show complete with amazing toiletries and a large balcony with great views of Lake... More

From the time we arrived until leaving four days later, we felt like we were spending time in the country home of best friends. Everyone did their best to make our stay memorable. There are lots of beautiful lodges in stunning locations, and this is certainly one. But the people made it special. Our thanks go to Aymeric, Enrique, David,... More

Without doubt, New Zealand has some of the most preeminent luxury lodges in the world. However, one rises above all others - Blanket Bay Lodge. We were fortunate to once again stay at the Lodge. Often when you return to a place you’ve stayed previously the rose-coloured memory of the original visit sometimes doesn't correspond with the current one. I... More

We had heard about Blanket Bay as being a rather special lodge and decided to stay there to celebrate a significant Wedding Anniversary. We were lucky enough to stay 5 nights and today we left reluctantly. The whole experience is heavenly. To start with the location is incredibly private and surrounded by the drama of NZ's stunning south island scenery.... More

It's hard to write a review when it seems that there are so many other people who all agree with us on the Blanket Bay experience. Just read the other reviews and be confident that what is reflected by so many is what you will receive. Breathtaking views, beautiful accommodation, fantastic food and the nicest support staff that you could... More

3 nights there was fantastic with fabulous food and wine. Wonderful staff. This place is in a pristine location far enough away from all the madness of Queenstown. Even when the weather was bad there was plenty to keep you occupied. Great library of books and DVD's !!

We went to Blanket Bay expecting a special experience, and that was exactly what we got. Location is superb, the lodge facilities and furnishings are first class, and the food was delicious. The service was amazing- Tom and his team all went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our... More
