My friends and I booked a 2 bedroom apartment and had the most enjoyable week stay at Skye Niseko. The apartment was spacious, clean and had a great outlook straight onto the chair lifts and ski runs. Ski in/ski out made it very easy to plan our days as we could return to our room at anytime if we wanted a break. The ski equipment was great and staff were fantastic at arranging our hire for the week. Great breakfast offering which had slight changes daily. Private onsens were perfect for relaxing the muscles after a days skiing. Hotel is located in a fantastic location and is within easy walking distance to great restaurants and bars in town.

Dear Lukehunter4, Thank you for your stay with us last winter. It is fantastic to hear you had a great time and enjoyed our location along with the breakfast, in-house ski rental and private onsens. I will pass your kind words on to all the staff here. We hope you can make it back to snowy Niseko again soon and look forward to welcoming you then.

This hotel never accepted cancellations, as all hotels and airlines accept cancellations in Covit19. As mentioned in other reviews, the manager said other guests and the resort is open. When I went there, there were almost no other guests at the hotel and the ski area was rattled. This hotel only thinks about itself. I have no awareness of crisis management. Never stay in a hotel like this. If something goes wrong, they will never claim their legitimacy. By the way, the breakfast was buffet and the hot springs were open even though the corona infection was noted so much. Incredible.

Dear GOLD_gale, With the COVID-19 situation evolving rapidly last February and March, it is difficult to comment on your situation without knowing your stay dates. However, for all pre-bookings last winter, we made it as clear as we can when booking that it is the responsibility of the customer to take out full travel insurance and that any cancellation will be at the expense of the customer. The circumstances last winter were unfortunate for everyone and we offered the movement of bookings to next winter for bookings under certain conditions. I hope you still managed to enjoy your stay during the winter. We are offering flexible terms for bookings for winter 20-21.

Everyone in my party had an amazing experience at Skye Niseko full stop! The service was fantastic, facilities were top rate and the location was second to none in Niseko. Skye is in a class of its own. ...but within the Skye, there is a whole different level as well... the Penthouse - specifically Annapuri West. 4 spectacular bedrooms all with ensuite waterfall showers, a massive living space with a massive kitchen, 10 person dining table, huge lounge area and a private AV area. This is all surrounded (270 degrees) by massive windows and what must have been 15 foot ceilings. Encircled by the roof/deck our natural hot spring fed 'rotenburo' (outdoor bath) was the envy of the mountain. We sipped fine champagne while viewing Mt Yotei, the ski slopes and ski jumps/park area which provided lots of entertainment as we basked for hours. The skiers going by often waved no doubt wanted to join us overlooking the whole Niseko area. Skye is amazing, but treat yourself to the best of the best by booking - Annapuri West!

Despite the current situation where all hotels are providing refund or credit to move to next season, skye clearly states that my booking is not refundable and there is nothing they can do. Not even trying to give us the possibility to use our money $$$$ for an alternative date! Shame, and avoid this hotel!

We sympathise with your situation of not being able to travel as you originally planned as the hotel and wider resort is open and many people have happily continued with their holiday plans. We make it as clear as we can when booking that it is the responsibility of the customer to take out full travel insurance and that any cancellation will be at the expense of the customer. The current circumstances are unfortunate for everyone, but unfortunately we have to stand by our terms and conditions and you will need to claim your loss from your travel insurance company. We have been offering the movement of bookings to March 2021 for bookings under certain conditions. If you have booked via a 3rd party, please contact the booking agent to confirm their terms and conditions.

I am very angry with Skye Niseko. Skye Niseko is disrespectful of the difficulties of customers and offers unprofessional customer service. Skye Niseko refused to refund or reschedule my reservation even though my flight from Hong Kong to Sapporo is cancelled by the airline (which offered full refund) and Hong Kong people’s visa exemption is cancelled by the Japan Government with short notice rendering us unable to enter Japan on the checkin date. No explanation given. Skye Niseko just said, “This is our policy.” How arrogant and authoritative! Where is customer service?
