Hirafu beginner ski area and magic carpet for beginners are just right in front of the room (we stayed in room number 612. Ski rental shop was very nice, all the staff are professional and we came to return the gear after operating hours so the shop was already close but one of the staff was kind enough and open the shop especially for us(sorry didn’t catch his name but he was Asian). Thank you so much otherwise we wouldn’t have our shoes back after skiing and need to wait till tomorrow.

Unit 801 / Annupuri West is spectacular! Spacious, comfortable and architecturally stunning. Not to mention the views of Niseko resort and Yotei are unparalleled, especially from your private balcony onsen. The perfect way to end a great powder day!

SKYE Niseko was an exceptional experience. The facilities are unbeatable, the staff are excellent and helpful. Our experience with the Ski Valet service was outstanding. The apartment (Unit 801/Annupuri West) was very comfortable with a spectacular view of the ski field on one side and the Mt. Yotei on the other. Exceptional. I can't recommend SKYE enough.

One of the best skiing experiences I have ever had. Not only is the skiing fantastic but the accommodations and staff are superb. Highly recommend! The hotel is situated right on the mountain. It is truly ski on and ski off. The ski valet makes everything very easy. Great vacation.

Stayed at SKYE Niseko on Feb 2023 at room 801 (Annupuri West Penthouse). It’s the best room in the hotel since it’s the top floor and facing all Niseko, the slopes on both sides and Mt Yotei from the terrace and onsen/hot springs (see photo). The room is very well designed with great layout and amenities. The location of SKYE is the best in Niseko because it’s literally in the slopes having ski in-out and ski valet. Also walking distance to several great restaurants in Hirafu town. If you are looking for a memorable stay in Niseko, this is the place to choose.

Stayed with a group of friends who ski hard all day and appreciate the best in excellent resort accommodation. We all just loved SKYE Niseko. All the finishings and amenities are just top-rate. It sits above all the other places in Niseko both in location and status / quality. My crew kicked-back in the hot-tub on the roof-top terrace of the penthouse and laughed through the evening watching the night skiers in the massive floor-14' ceiling windows in the spectacular architecture. Lastly, if you want to really treat your friends and/or family, the top floor penthouses are the place to stay - west side (801) is the highest up and has the best views / location. Why go halfway when you can have the best!?

TRUE FIVE STAR. The time it takes from stepping out of your private balcony onsen to the ski slope is 3.5 minutes. On the way from the onsen to the ski slope you pass through a theatre-sized living room, kitchen, and media room and also pass by the expansive, ensuite bedrooms. All of these are designed and appointed with the quiet elegance befitting the unobstructed views of the surrounding ranges and the imposing Mt Yotei (Little Fuji) sitting right in front of you. Choose Annupuri West/unit 801. This unit dominates everything. Looking out from the living room and its balcony, literally the sky's the limit (the setting befits an observatory). Skye is built into the ski slope - true ski-in-ski-out. There is a washer&dryer, a fully appointed kitchen properly provisioned with top quality accouterments, heated flooring, a wrap-around balcony with its own private rotemburo, a world-class restaurant (the breakfast buffet!), and a full-service ski service center second to none. Everything has been noted and provided from the mundane to the magnificent.

(1) All guests be warned. The marketing for their 3-bedroom suite is very misleading. We were a large group and booked two 3-bedroom suites. One was faced beautifully, towards Mt Yotei on the 5th floor while the other was shocking, on the 3rd floor facing the bank of a ski slope with every single person skiing by able to look in completely to your room. Both views were priced the same. (2) The worst part of my stay was when I asked the front desk for help to print out some documents totalling not more than 15 pages. Was informed that printing above 10 pages was chargeable. For a five star property billing itself as extreme luxury service in Niseko, this was complete shocking, Our stay totalled tens of thousands of dollars and we were being informed that we had to pay for printing for than 10 pages? I have never encountered anything like this in my many years of staying in luxury hotels. An email to the hotel GM yielded nothing but a generic reply - we will look into your feedback, and nothing was done about it. Upon checkout I checked the bill as we were billed - 40 japanese yen, yes that's right 40 japanese yen for printing 4 pages. Poor, poor taste. The worst policy I have ever encountered, we had almost 10 people in our group, should I have split up and printed 10 pages per person and printed more instead and it would be free? But me myself printing 14 pages and I was billed 40 japanese yen? Clearly not about the money here after we spend almost 20 grand on our suites alone without adding extras yet, but very, very poor taste, service and hospitality in what bills itself to be the best luxury accommodation in Niseko. (3) The icing on the cake was when we were about to depart, I asked the front desk for a hammer to knock away the ice that had frozen around our car wheels. I was told there was no hammer and we could use a plastic rake instead. I pointed out to the front desk that the ice was probably too hard and the rake may break. I was told it should be strong enough and not a problem. Thinking that someone who spends months in the winter would probably have seen more and know more than me, we went ahead to use to plastic rake which then unsurprisingly broke after a few knocks against the ice. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BETTER. A hotel staff came out blaring "you broke the rake!" and proceeded to grab it from us and insisted we pay for the broken rake. I was horrified what on earth is this a scam?? Could you imagine staying in a hotel, informing the staff that the door handle to your guest room is about to break, being told it is working fine, proceeding to open the door and the handle falls off, and finally being told you have to pay for the broken handle?? I will never ever stay at Skye again. Terrible, terrible service. What defines a 5 star property from others is their service, and Skye disappoints terribly. I would suggest guests to try out Vale Niseko, Aya Niseko, Maples Niseko for similarly priced accommodations but much, much better service. Not sure if it's because Vale and Maples are managed by Nisade and they are much more experienced operators in Niseko.

Stayed in Unit 801/Anapuri West and was blown away! This is by far the best ski place I have ever stayed at. It's a huge penthouse with four bedrooms, all with fabulous en-suite bathrooms. There's a huge living area and a well equipped kitchen and the ceilings are super high with floor to celling glass windows providing great views. Unit has the best position on the top floor of the hotel with a really great view over the slopes, enhanced when the runs are lit up for night skiing. Also has a great terrace with an awesome hot tub which is the perfect place to be, beer in hand at the end of a hard day of skiing. Hotel facilities are great too with delicious food (loved the breakfasts!) and full service ski valet/shop. Ski in ski out too.
