Summary: well-located, affordable backpacker with a good vibe and a bit of noise and grime to go along with it Positive: - super-affordable for Niseko - fun vibe and I easily met ski partners - located right in front of the free shuttle to Grand Hirafu or Hanazono, and only a 10 minute walk for groceries Not-so-positive: - noisy at...

I went in a group of six, unfortunately we were not roomed together, rather split 3 and 3. Which seemed like a downfall, but the people we met at Shizenkan Backpackers made us forget our worries! Having stayed for close to two weeks, this backpackers became my home. - Great bathroom facilities (shower warmth and pressure is phenomenal) - Good...

We were the only guests when staying here as it was quite early in the season! All staff and workers were super nice! There was a common room and a big kitchen and a TV area too! They also picked us up and dropped us off at the station! A short walk from lawsons and the main bars (10mins) like...

Had a totally awesome Christmas at the backpackers with these guys. If you're awesome then you should stay here, it's totally rad. Great crowd, great location, great powder You should eat at 'soup - curry' and drink at 'the fridge door'. Winning.

I stayed in the backpackers section - I went at the tail end of the season and the lodge was closed early. Fantastic welcoming hosts who were very obliging and understanding and spoke good English. They were more than happy to organise pick-ups to and from the bus station and the ski rental shop and couldn't be more courteous. The...

I stayed at the lodge part of Shizenkan, next door to the backpackers. The rooms here are fantastic value for money and the cooked breakfast every morning is a great start before hitting the slopes. The rooms are a reasonable size, with warm fluffy doonas and hot showers. The rooms also have their own flat screen tvs, although unsurprisingly there...

I stayed in the backpackers, not the lodge. It was everything I expected from a backpackers but better, very clean, lovely staff, comfy, warm and they're happy to pointyou in the right direction when needed. Washing machine and dryer at a low cost was great. The drying room always had my gear toasty by the morning and the shower was...

Stayed here for 10 nights, excellent place to stay in the Niseko area. Breakfast (western style) very good, plenty to set you up for the day. Room was fine, en suite was a little small but no trouble with it, beds very comfy. Nearby Graubunden cafe does amazing cakes and the curry / soup place is good too - don't...

Stayed in the lodge for almost 3 weeks skiing and thought it was a great place to stay. We stayed in the rooms with private bathroom. Our room was quite spacious, simple and clean. The breakfast served every morning was fantastic. The lodge is a 15-20 mins walk from the main area of Hirafu. However, a shuttle does come around...
