Fairly upmarket place and price of rooms reflects that, but fair overall. One issue on rooms - mastic round bath was under so easy to get hands covered with grey goo. Dinner ok but a bit over- priced. Bar and restaurant closed Monday's - don't expect that sort of thing at this sit of place. Breakfast definitely on the steep... More

Villa Augusta is located in a small, quiet town which I find very attractive. No hoards of tourist, just peace and quiet (though not a ghost town). The villa itself is beautiful. A nice mix of modern and classic Provencal architecture. My room was vibrant, felt grand and yet homely. The toilet had a bath tub, and a shower curtain... More

We went to Villa Augusta for a wedding nearby and were drawn by the lovely pictures on the website and Relais & Chateaux commendation. However we were sorely disappointed throughout our stay. A few examples: POOL - The cold pool was covered with dead bees, with nobody to clean them anywhere near. The loungers were old and mouldy. A lounger... More

The Villa is beautiful. It is nicely old without being run down, has lovely gardens with different songbirds flying around, an elegant yet homely setup within, lovely rooms and most comfortable beds with every luxury like room slippers, bathrobes, a heater in the bathroom - the works. Perhaps the best is the food. Breakfast is served (in a fashion that... More

We arrived to a lovely friendly and helpful welcome, we were shown a pretty, comfortable room in a charming hotel. The dining experience was wonderful, the service was faultless and the meal was exquisite. After being in Spain the price of the wine, especially by the glass seemed very expensive but it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Our room was large. (We chose the larger room available.) Windows on 2 sides. The bath was almost spectacular, 2 sinks, a large tub and a separate shower. Terrific to unwind after a vigorous hike. (One couple we met were on a bike tour, just the two of them. Clearly the tour management chose to give them a top hotel that... More

The wide and august River Rhone winds its majestic way from Geneva to the Camargue - and along this historic waterway, civilizations have come and gone through the centuries. Some have disappeared forever and some have left an indelible mark. The village of St Paul Trois Chateaux is one such village, where many reminders still recall the days of the... More

Wonderfully boutique hotel with excellent service, quiet pool and sublime restaurant, including best breakfast ever. We stayed for 6 nights, most people came for 1 or 2 night. Lovely rooms and suited being with children between 8-12, not much for younger children except pool.

My wife and I picked this hotel mostly because it is part of Relais and Chateaux and located in northern Provence. I had pre-paid (big mistake) 5 nights to get a discounted rate. We arrived by car and immediately noticed the hotel is located in an industrial town near the Rhone River...very close to a 2 stack nuclear rector plant.... More
