Being a first time skier this hotel was ideally located to all amenities of the ski resort in Pamporova where they offered ski lessons at affordable rates. The hotel was close to the city center where they had nice restaurants and the hotel itself had a good restaurant. Although I should add that Bulgarian cuisine is not my favorite, I stuck to the basic stuff and no meaty dishes (they do incline not to cook the meat well done e.g. i like my chicken well cooked and not raw). Most of it is grilled, just ask for it to be well done, unless of course its a fillet. The hotel had a swimming pool, saunas, jacuzzi area and massage and beauty area which was wonderful especially after a long day of skiing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a kitchen, sleeper couch and satellite TV as extras. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helped you where they could, we would find the odd person who could not assist us in English, but would find someone to assist us in any case. There was a French speaker as well. Also, it is a new hotel and they had no credit card or cardpos machine and only accepted cash. They did however say that it would be available this year. But for a first time experience, it was a pleasant stay in Bulgaria.

We spent wonderful time in Stream Resort - our apartments were with lovely view to the ski runs and the pine forest. The water in the swimming pool was very nice. We took some relaxing massages, which prices were affordable. We liked that we are not obliged to eat in the restaurants, but we can cook in the apartments. Though, we had some dinners there and the meals were like home made and traditional for the Rhodopes. We will definitely get back there and we would recommend it to our friends. Delian

Stayed here half board for a week in March 2014, it was our 1st Skiing trip & we had heard that Pamporovo was a good starting point as they have excellent English speaking instructors.
The apartments on the 5th floor 502,503,504 were all fantastic, the view over the BBQ area/play park was nice, from our balcony we could see the slopes and the tower.
There was a coffee maker, fridge, kettle, hob, toaster, Microwave - everything you could need really.....except a wine bottle opener!!! (Take your own if you intend to drink wine, or buy screw tops!)
Plenty of room to dry snowy clothes too, includes a coat hook by the door and a drying airier, good size TV although only channels for English speakers were music & news but this never bothers us as not on holiday to watch telly!
The shower was always hot, whole apartment decorated nicely and very spacious, slept really well, we had twin beds pushed together, separate bed linen. Was lovely and warm (just the way I like it! Although I would think it could be stifling for someone who likes to sleep in a cool bedroom.)
Noise-wise, the rooms are pretty soundproofed. Could occasionally hear people in the corridor, but not disruptive.
We were half board, breakfast was fine, could fill up for the day, had various eggs, bread, pastries, sausages, cereal & yogurt and some meaty oddities! But plenty to choose from. Only thing was no normal tea or coffee with breakfast, just a weird fruit tea and orange juice. The staff on the desk are very lovely and really helpful, on the evenings where the hotel was not full we could choose a 3 course meal from a menu, lots of pasta, Bulgarian traditional food and some meatballs, chicken kebabs, fish etc, really enjoyed trying the Bulgarian food and the puddings were delish (ice cream in particular!) Soups were also yummy. On all other nights food was buffet style, tried a bit of everything and enjoyed most things and the salads were nice. The only thing we would say is that in Bulgaria it seems difficult to try and get a HOT meal. Everything is sort of luke warm. Again something you get used to, so no problem really we were more bothered about upset tummys but didn't suffer too much only with the normal holiday belly from trying different food and possibly drinking too much alcohol in the evenings! Also we happily drank the water, it's all treated and tastes fine.
It was a 15min uphill walk to the 3 man ski lift (Malina ski school)from the apartment, or the resort supply a mini bus which drops you off when you want, if you would like a lift back you can tell the driver the time, but sometimes it's unclear as not sure he understands too much English. To be honest the walk back really isn't bad either (Although not so pleasant carrying loads of ski gear!)
Town is a pretty significant distance, nearest shop/supermarket we found was probably a 45min walk (mostly uphill) so not something I would like to do daily! A taxi is something like £4-5each way into town so could get costly over the week, so we stocked up on snacks and drinks just a couple of times.
The Spa area in the resort was nice (although sometimes the steam rooms were not switched or or working very well) but we were there at the end of the season so they probably slow things down a bit, one day we just asked them to turn it on and they did, no problem. Sauna was nice and the drench shower was great, but the pool was quite cold! Still nice though and a great way to spend an hour after a long day on the slopes. There is also a gym and a games room (payable extra) but we didn't use these so can't comment.

The staff are not help full, when you can find them. We waited 1,40 minutes for dinner in the end i went to the kitchen lift and found our food in there. The rooms are very basick but clean. Location is good if your driving around Rodopi but it not good for local stuff. It was cheap so you get what you pay for.

Just returned from a fantastic skiing holiday in Pamporovo. We stayed at the Stream Resort. It is a new hotel located in the Malina district, a short walk from the ski lifts. The style of the resort is traditional Bulgarian. As the hotel has only just opened, we were one of three groups staying there. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. All of the rooms have cooking facilities. As a result we only had breakfast in the restaurant a few times. The spa and pool area are fantastic, and free to use. The hotel provides free transport to the slopes (even though it is only a short walk) and into town. We will definitely be returning!

Unforgettable summer days, very pleasant hotel. The setting is great. Clean, cozy, comfortable! Nature is wonderful, flowers, pines, fresh air. Very suitable place for rest with children. Relax in the pool, the sun loungers are among the flowers, the green grass. Great!

The hotel is rather large; and has exactly 3 people on staff: a receptionist, a waiter (working 14 hour days day after day), and a single cook. Who takes about a hour and a half to cook anything, and I checked twice (one evening there were about 20 guests in the hall, the other about 5 persons)

My reservation was made through Booking. They first tried to put me in an unsuitable room (NO BED! The 'studios' in this hotel have NO BED! Instead, they have a cheap sofa extended and set as a bed)

When I objected to this lunacy, they suggested I cancel my reservation with Booking and pay 'privately' a substantially lower price and get an apartment with a real bed. I accepted (what a fool!)

Then they changed their mind and gave me a price which was about equal of the one I'd pay through Booking, except I'd have to pay cash (no receipt -> no taxes) and Booking wouldn;t take their fee (as it appeared as a cancelled reservation to them)

Spa center had all of the facilities turned off, apparently to save on electricity, and no staff. (How could it? A 80-100 room hotel with 3 people on staff...) After a nice quarrel, they turned on some of the equipment. Not the pool though (imagine a pool with circulation and heater turned off)

No maid service was provided. When I asked, they told me maids clean up once every 3 days.

The cherry on the cake was that they turn off the hot water in the late evening though, apparently to save a cent or two.

Wifi worked, but had technical issues with forced proxy servers so I could only use a phone, laptops wouldn;t work.

Welcome to Bulgaria, land of the mafia. Be warned.

We stayed for 6 nights at the hotel. It is reasonably price. Room rates are inclusive if breakfast and dinner. The rooms are spacious but didnt feel that homey though. They are equipped with kitchen complete with cooking utensils.

The room does not include bath tub and washing machine. Would have been nice if those were included too.

I enjoyed the sauna and swimming in their pool after hours of skiing. Guests can enjoy those for free, too.

I just wish they had cleaned our room and changed bedsheets as often as possible during our stay. It seemed to me you need to advise them of such request everytime.

I had issues with the door lock, too. One time I was not able to open the door so I got out of the window instead.

Another issue was the flooding on the bathroom. Wish they had addressed that by now.

Staff were very friendly and always quick to respond to requests. They even gave me martenitsa and a mug for free when I checked. That was a very sweet gesture I appreciated so much.

Those who plan to stay here need to also consider in budgeting the cost of taking a taxi in order to get to the town to buy something from the supermarket or try out other restos.

A great aparthotel, ideally situated for the base lift to the top of the mountain. We had planned 5 days here but the weather turned warm and the snow melted/ The staff were really helpful and very friendly. The receptionist who changed our room after only being in the hotel an hour was amazing, she did everything to help satisfy our needs.

Breakfast is a little fraught, the selection is quite poor, the one 4 slice toaster doesn't work properly and a queue quickly forms. One morning we were greeted with what can be best described as a poor attempt at macaroni cheese, not an ideal breakfast item.

The pool, sauna and spa areas were well maintained and a nice space to use after a day on the slopes.

Improve the breakfast offer, improve the equipment for residents and the next time I stay it will be 5 stars.

A good place to stay, reasonably priced and close to the lifts

The Stream Resort is a good aparthotel for friends who want to share accomodation expences and for families with at least one child. It is located close Malina ski center, we took the shutle bus, which travels every 15 or 30 minutes, depends on monent of the day (see picture attached). It has ski equipment for rental at resonable prices and ski depot for own equip.
They have 2 restaurants: one for 'a la carte' and one for 'all inclusive', if you want to eat at second one you need to inform the reception in the morning. Prices for a la carte are ok, we paid from 46 leva to 60 leva for a dinner for 5 persons. A local brand beer is 3 leva (1euro=1.91 leva). I did not go to 'all inclusive', so i cannot say anything about it.
Brakefast is not very diversive, but is ok.
They have pool and spa, which i did not use yet.
The staff is friendly and helpfull. There are 4 boys working for both restaurants and lobby bar, so I advice to serve dinner after 8 pm, so the can take and serve your order quiker.
In the apartment (2 bedrooms, 5 beds) you will find also a small kitchen with sink, microwave oven, fridge, cooking stove, dishes, glases so you can serve meals in the room.
I did not like that i had to change 2 elevators to go 7th floor and that the room is not that clean.
However, the view is spectacular and the fresh air makes it all worthwile.
