Don't be put off by the exterior because inside it is warm and friendly. The bedroom was nicely decorated with ample tea and coffee. The ensuite was a little small but was clean and the water was nice and hot. The bar encouraged chatting with other guests and regulars alike. The setting is delightful and the beach, which is a... My Mother and I stayed at the Farr Bay Inn for 3 nights while on tour of Highlands.what a lovely place, a warm welcome fro Hosts Steve and Karan, comfy rooms and great food, and a cosy bar to chill out in after days out exploring the countryside and coastal routes. We will definitely return here again.

What a great find! We received the warmest welcome from Karen & Steve at the Farr Bay Inn. The food was freshly cooked to order and extremely tasty - would highly recommend and certainly hope to visit again.

We stayed at the Farr Bay Inn for one night as part of our North Coast 500 tour and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The property is a charming old house situated a few minutes walk from the stunning and secluded beach in Farr Bay. Whilst the building is perhaps in need of a little TLC, the rooms are large and... Was recommended as overnight stopover in camper van. Great food, great hospitality allowed us to stay behind their inn in our van. 350 meters from beautiful beach Inn doesn't look great from the outside but highly recommend steak and ale pie

A cosy old farm house situated close to the beach which is somewhat in need of loving care and attention on the outside but full of it inside! Karen cooks beautifully and her dishes are both tasty and plentiful as is her warm character and personality. Assisted by hubby the tiny bar serves the best local draught beer, a few... More

We parked the car and as the door opened a man (found out later was Steve, the owner) said - we're not ready for your. Wait in there. Pointing to the small bar area. Not a great start to our stay. Luckily 10 minutes later Karen, his wife arrived. What a difference. She was bouncy and cheerful. The opposite of... More

Hubby and I spent a night here as we travelled around the north coast looking for property. A warm welcome The room was big and therefore was cold, the shower needed a good scrub down with bleach and the tiles secured to the wall. The bed was large but the bed covers haven't been ironed and smelled very strongly of... More
