This is no ordinary setting. The B&B and caravans are overlook hills, lochs, the Atlantic Coast and several Munros. Our caravan had an outside observation post to chill and take in the scenery, and the views from inside when the weather came in were similarly stunning. This is a remote location on the coast of North West Scotland. There are... More

We booked almost a month in advance for fear not being able to stay at this beautiful place which was recommended by friends. Just arrived Ron, the landlord, warmly welcomed us, took us to our room and invited us to act as if we were at home. The room was impeccable, spotless and great as even the really spacious bathroom... More

We stayed for one night having booked via phone at lunchtime that very same day during a spontaneous west highlands trip. We were the only guests as the season hadn't quite started yet and Ron still had to fix some storm damage from the winter. The views here are absolutely amazing and we loved the remote peaceful feel of the... More

I spent a great time at Ron's b&b. He has a lot of stories to tell and doesn't hesitate to help you choose the best places to see. His house has an amazing view and he prepares the best breakfast ever! Thanks a lot for this warm welcoming.

Only stayed one night as touring but will remember it for ever. Amazing views and staying on a croft felt very different. The twin room is not large but has everything needed, as the conservatory is a great place to sit and watch the birds and sheep and their lambs and the view. Ron is a real character - great... More

I spent three nights at Stonechat's croft ; it has been fantastic days. I am a French woman who travelled on my own. Arriving, I was a bit impressed by the isolated situation of the B&B. But quickly Ron, the owner, makes you feel at home. The views are breathtaking. The room is very comfortable and cosy. Ron makes a... More

Spacious accommodation, with everything on hand..from rusks, good coffee, magazines, sherry, etc. We did however experience a problem with the shower..didn't have hot water. Carol was very concerned, and called a plumber. Other than that, we will definitely visit Stonechat again! Thanks for the caring card and chocolate for Richard after his operation. Much appreciated.

Extremely friendly welcome. The views from the croft are outstanding. Ron's wildlife knowledge is extensive and we saw more than a dozen different bird species in his garden within minutes. Included goldfinches, green finches, reed buntings and many others. The breakfast was superb. Ask Ron to show you Tilly's party trick. Thoroughly recommended.

Last week we spent two nights in Rons guesthouse. His breakfast was great, the rooms were cosy, the beds were very good, the views were stunning. Revalidating, Ron did all he could do, and helped us to find immediate service from a garage for changing a flat tire of our car. So we were very grateful. We feel sorry for... More
