This hotel is situated in the small village of Scourie towards the top western corner of Scotland. It is an old style, but modernly equipped, hotel catering primarily for guests who want to fish. That said there were 'ordinary' guests as well, who seemed to enjoy themselves. The hotel is easy to find. Our en suite room was large, comfortable... More

Owners and staff very warm and welcoming. Superb seafood. Wonderful rooms and a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended. Separate restaurant and bar menus, both different offering excellent choices.

I must admit it is 40 years since my last visit. We dined in the bar. The staff are friendly, the location is idyllic, and the atmosphere is pleasant and the surrounding comfortable. The food was well prepared, though the service a little slow. Our food was ok but not outstanding. We had a pleasant evening.

The Scourie Hotel is set within a wild touring paradise known as the North Coast 500, a region of white sandy beaches, great boulder mountains, rushing rivers, sea-birds, golden eagles, otters, whales, seals and other wildlife - with the highest waterfall in Britain, the largest cave system in Scotland and literally hundreds of fishable lochs and lochans – formed, one... The Scourie Hotel goes from strength to strength. Much work has been undertaken over the past winter and the room we stayed in we better than last time. Food still very good, staff excellent. The Campbell family (owners) are making their mark in the best possible ways.

Hotel is lovely and staff are friendly. My vegetarian meal in the bar was lovely......very tasty. However, my companion's fish and chips with tartare sauce was very poor. No option of whether the fish was battered or breaded, no tartare sauce (only mayonnaise was given) and the chips were oven chips, so tasteless. Such a shame as it is a... More

Mid week stay during a touring holiday of the North of Scotland. Gentile charm and the feel of a classic hotel. Welcoming hosts and great staff in all areas. The restaurant served local produce with an imaginative menu. Public areas roomy and comforting. Bedrooms small but comfortable. Close to a pebble beach and bay and within short drive of more sandy... More

It was a shame that the hotel was booked up but we did manage to get a look around and have dinner there. I travelled with a friend and it is just the sort of place I would bring my husband back too. The owner even came over to us when we were tucking into the delicious lobster supper to... More

It was a welcome relief to walk into such fresh and pleasant surroundings after staying a week at the dingy and poorly maintained Cnochlochan cottage just up the road. We received a warm welcome, there was local beer available and the food was good.

Visited for a week with two friends and stayed on a B&B basis. Have stayed before when the hotel was in the hands of the previous owners. The new owners have gone about putting their mark on the hotel and it is now being brought up to date. Food is good and also the availability of drinks particularly real ale... More
