Whilst 4 of us were staying in Lutterworth, we noticed this quaint thatched pub in the high street and closer up saw it's award plaques for good food! We hadn't booked a table, but friendly staff found us one after about 5 minutes - very lucky as very busy (Saturday evening). Some great value meal offers and a good menu... More

Such a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely steak dinner (impressive portion!) Everyone was super helpful including the gentleman whom served me breakfast. The Shambles were so lovely with our big group of riders, amazing service and smiley faces. The regulars are very friendly too. A huge thank you for making us feel so welcome! Superstars!

Last weekend our Rapha Cycling Club met in the Shambles for dinner after riding 180km from London and Manchester to train for the Rapha Manchester to London Challenge in September. The staff and family were fantastic hosts, very organised and super accommodating despite us being late on account of mechanicals. The food is top notch and everything homecooked, and the... More

I ate and lodged at The Shambles on a cycling trip from London to Manchester. The staff were friendly and accommodating and if you like great homecooked wholesome food I can't recommend it highly enough! There is space for parking out front and the food service was quicker than I expected. If I am ever in Lutterworth I would visit... More

A group of cyclists rode from Manchester, stopping in Lutterworth overnight, before finishing in London. The Shambles were very accomodating and not only fed us with great food, but ensure our every need was attended to over the evening and morning. Id be happy to come and stay again in any capacity. Many thanks to all staff who worked over... More

I'm reviewing this as a pub with food not a hotel. Great old building, lots of different spaces inside. The room we sat in had a disastrously once-cream-coloured banquette thing all round the wall which made the whole place feel a bit grubby; it would have looked lovely for a week about ten years ago. We came for lunch. A... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn. Firstly may I say the pub was refurbished 2 years ago so as for being grubby it is completely the opposite. On our menu we have a large home cooked page and this is exactly what it is. As for your ability to see into the future !!!!(I knew it... More

We regularly go to the Shambles on a Saturday or Sunday to watch the football and have some lunch. Always made to feel welcome as a family, great pub food, home cooked chips, nice pies, baguettes, well priced etc. Eldest daughter loves going as they have a table with toys on and she loves playing the giant Connect 4!
