Returning to Lancashire after visiting the NEC Birmingham we were directed towards 'The Littleton Arms' as a great place to eat, with the addition, "you will be well looked after". On that advise my companion and I booked a table and enjoyed an early evening meal together with soft drinks. The service was superb, the meal was filling, very tasty...

Dropped in for lunch and found it excellent as ever. The new refurbishments have made a real difference -warm and welcoming even for a guy on his own . The Littleton Club sandwich was just right with not to many lovely chips. Washed down with a pint of Breakspear bitter - all for £12.45. Very good value.

Thank you very much for your fantastic review, the club sandwich has been on the menu for 12 years and is still the best selling sandwich! Kind regards Tony Later

Hello Mike, I am sorry you feel that way and a little bemused by your comments. The layout of the restaurant and bar has not changed at all, we have also dimmed down the lighting and added more carpets, rugs & soft furnishing, we have also added a third wood burner. I assume you ordered the Sea Bass? two fillets...

My Wife and I had a light lunch here for the first time since it was redecorated. It is very pleasant combining the old with the new look. There is a good choice of ales and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We shared a baked camembert cheese which was very tasty and served with a nice small batch...

A group of us had lunch at The Littleton Arms recently after it's redecoration. Top marks for the refurb- it looks modern but still retains it's coaching inn past. The menus are new also and on first glance the lunch menu seems more limited than before. They used to serve a lovely Ploughman's lunch but now following a trend that...

Thank for your review, I am glad you like our new look. The triple cooked chips have been £4 for the last 3 years, we have also increased the lunch time offer considerably? We served sweet potato fries @ £3 if this is your preferred type of chip, these are a bought in product, hence the £1 more for the...

This is a very old coaching house with lots of character. We took my Mum here for New Years Day lunch and we were not disappointed with the food choice, quantity and quality. Speed of service was good too! Service could be slightly friendlier but I think the waitresses may have been tired from celebrations the night before!! There is...

Went for an afternoon birthday tea with some friends. Despite getting in touch beforehand to ask for no smoked salmon for one guest there were no replacement sandwiches. So she had only one choice. Sandwiches were on the dry side as had obviously been left uncovered. Scones not cooked in the middle and not enough jam to go round. All...

Went for lunch with friends. Every thing was good but the food although good was expensive - 4 mains and 4 drinks were nearly £59 a bit over the top for lunchtime, One main was just a ploughmans and the other just a baked goats cheese dish. Drinks were 2 pints 1 rose and 1 orange.

Thank you Robert for your lovely review, on a lunch time we have sandwiches, bar bites and snacks starting from as little as £2, we also have a wagyu Sirloin on at £24.95 so depending on what you order will obviously determine the cost. Kind regards Tony Later
