Returning every year for the last 10 years. Always new walking paths to discover. Dades has so many hidden gems. The Kasbah is family build and family run. Combining all the artisan skills in Morocco to build a state of the art Kasbah. And probably the best kitchen for hundreds of km! Mostapha and family will support in any wish, request or logistical support needed. A truly spectacular place to stay. Star gazing from the roof terraces, seeing the people working the fields in the valley, walking the goat trails, or for the more adventurous the gorge at the monkey fingers. And enjoy the amazing Kasbah, hospitality, food, surroundings, any time of the year.
We arrived at Dar Jnan, having no idea of what awaited us. As we entered Mustapha greeted us with open arms, invited us for tea and showed us around. Mustapha turned out to be an incredibly open minded and generous host. The room he gave us was well heated and had good bed linen. Our trip in Morocco was hardly organised, Mustapha gave us all of the information we were missing for the rest of the trip, At this point he had already earned the excellent review. Then, for dinner he treated us with an incredible dinner, every ingredient was thought of. I could go on and on writing good things about this place having been there one night. But the only thing I can recommend is that you there and see for yourself. Thank you Mustapha.
This was the first night in a 3-night tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, so I wish we'd had more time. This lovely inn was made with a lot of thought and care, as was the dinner that we enjoyed. Our room was very comfortable in a traditional way and we really enjoyed the setting along the creek with the blossoms around us in the valley. The rooftop offers beautiful views. This is a family-run business and one can feel the love. We would love to return.
This is one of the best riad in morocco. Well designed and the decor is traditional and chic. Staff is accommodating and friendly. What’s more, they serve gourmet style cuisine with organic ingredients and it was super delicious. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
Hard to tell where to start- between the beautiful scenary, the welcome drinks and biscuits from our wonderful hosts, the walk down to the river, and the homemade dinners by the fireplace, I cannot wait to come back. Many people commpent on how the Moroccans are very hospitable, but Mostapha and his family in the riad take this to a new level. Although clearly busy, he always made the time to stop and talk to his guests and make them feel as welcome as possible. It was enlightening to hear his outlook on life, and exchange travel stories (as his borther is currently in Australia). The food was superb and the attention to detail was amazing. In the afternoon my mother and I walked down the stream to the river, where you could see the riad lit by the evening sun- this was only further enhanced by the views from the balcony of the riad. Mostapha told us about hiking in the area, which made us only more eager to return. Even after leaving, and conversing with other travellers throughout the country, when discussing where we had been they responded: "Mostaphas! We stayed there! It's amazing"- how one riad has such a reputation speaks a lot. Honestly, book to stay here and you will not regret it, 10/10.…
