I do not recommend a visit, definitely the whole hotel Ajda complex is not at the level of 4 stars. The hotel pools are dirty and unhygienic. The prices are terribly exorbitant, too high and breathtaking compared to what is offered. The food is average and nothing special.

The house we stayed at was 150 a night including breakfast. The house was gorgeous, yet the kitchen didnt have anything to clean the dirty dishes. The housekeeper woke us up at 8 to ask if she could clean. Awful!
Next, breakfast was cold. The milk has gone bad. Otherwise a big bar with a few delicious choices. Next saunas were great, but they didnt have any towels. The water fountain for drinking didnt work. Pool was great but i was cold all the time. Generally: id say okay, if i payed 80 a night. 150 a night is NOT acceptable for this service.

Dear Mrs Gaja R. First of all, we thank you for taking the time to reviewing your stay and we are very sorry that your experience has not been as desire by the hotel team. We really regret that the housekeeper woke you up as early as 8:00 a.m.. We assure you, that we will discuss, that this will not happen again. Due to measures related to the prevention of the spread of the new COVID 19 corona virus there were the sauna towels at the lifeguard in swimming pool. The drinking fountain in the sauna was also switched off due to possible contacts. The temperature in the pool was within the limits we have published and thus ranged from 32-34 ° C in the indoor pool and 32 ° C in the outdoor pool. We regret that you did not contact us directly with your questions at the location itself (front office desk), where we could give you answers immediately. Once again, we thank you for your visit and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any assistance, as I will be pleased to ensure the best of care. With best regards, Tanja Husar, Front Office Manager

I decided on this hotel by buying coupons on one of the group shopping sites in our Country. Hotel is nicely decorated, but I believe it has been some years since the last major renovation.
We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, given the required information and directed to our room.

Room was nice and clean, but I must give a warning to all the parents with small kids (that just started walking). Hotel has balconies with two railings that are separated by approximately 15 cm of room between each other. My foot couldn't pass through, but I am not sure that a small child couldn't fit through that, so be extra careful or simply keep the balcony closed if traveling with a small child.
We had a half board package. Meals were OK, selection was very good, but the quality of food was by my standards on the lower end of a 4* hotels I have visited.

Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful, and I must give credit to that, but couple of staff (one in the restaurant especially) were unfriendly and talked very sharp and arrogantly to us, while she talked very nicely and politely to some other guests that were local (Slovenian). I have talked to her in my native language which is similar to theirs and they understand.
We didn't want to make problems to anyone, so have ignored it, but it was definitely not a nice experience, especially in a 4* hotel declared as a spa/wellness center.

There was some problem with a hairdryer in our room and it took 2 times visiting the reception to get a replacement. Also as we were in our room at the moment that cleaning lady came, we asked her to come back later, but most probably due to some mistake or oversight we didn't get our room cleaned that day at all.

Other than that our experience was OK.

Ajda hotel and the pool, used to be a very well balanced in quality for money.
Recently, the quality is deteriorating and the way downhill is only accelerating. In the period 11-13 March 2022, we have experienced the worst service ever at this hotel.
Especially the pool, there was no cleaning whatsoever in the toilets, paper towels ran out in a few hours, no hand sanitizer at all for all three days. Especially Sunday, with quite some visitors, the wardrobe floor got really dirty, hair, dust, all kind of waste, towels,... never got cleaned all day long.
The lifeguards spent most of the time smoking behind the premises, never showed up in the pool area, when on duty, all their attention was to YouTube on the computer screen. Not to mention, the sauna sheets ran out mid-day Saturday.
The dark green color of pool water must have been an indicator of extra health, I would imagine. Sorry for seeing this place gone so bad, we are not returning.

Dear Guest. Thank you for your feedback of the experience at Hotel Ajda****. Impressions and opinions of guests, guide us in creating a tourist offer. So complaints as well as negative comments are welcome for us and we accept them with respect. We tread all comments with care and in the light of a comprehensive and positive approach to continuous improvement. We took what was written extremely seriously and held meetings with all employees, where we presented the issue to the cleaning staff and took measures that no longer allow deviations from the desired quality. The colour of the water results from the addition of thermal water. The higher the proportion of added thermal water its, the more it becomes coloured. The quality of bathing water itself is not in question, because the pool parameters are monitored automatically through the whole day, and they are checked twice a day with manual measurements. We are sorry about this case, but we are confident, that this was just a one-time event. All the stuff want for our guest, it’s that the visit at our spa is pleasant and relaxing. With best regards. It is a very comfortable hotel with a spa that is great for families with small children. For older children, you get through a tunnel to Terme 3000, which has a large variety of pools and slides and offers more fun and adventure, for those who loves that. I was there the first time in july 2014, before it was renovated, and in august 2019. Both times was it a beutiful experience, but after the renovation it looks much better, it is more comfortable and what I liked the most is a chill room on the gallery, with a beautiful atmosphere. A small restaurant by the pool is great for having lunch. Food for breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant is excellent.
Overall, I will come back with my family for sure!

Dear Mrs Zorica. It is always our pleasure to welcome you to Hotel Ajda****. We certainly value your patronage and are very appreciative of your feedback; I sincerely thank you for that. Guest experience is really important for us. We want to make the time you spend here unforgettable and we especially like to make you feel "at home". We are always surprised and moved when we read such beautiful and warm words. We are very proud of the fact that we have recently been able to refurbish the rooms and some of the other areas in Hotel Ajda, such as the small library on the ground floor. The Hotel Ajda indoor pool complex has also been completely renovated. An important new feature installed especially for you, our dear guests, is the Prekmurje bridge, a covered walkway to the Terme 3000 water park. We are delighted that you have been pleased and surprised by these changes and new additions. We are also grateful for the positive comments regarding your experience with our food. We have conveyed the praise to our restaurant staff, who were delighted by it. We hope to welcome you back soon. I send you my best regards. Tanja Husar, Front Office Manager

When you come to hotel, you will first meet very nice receptionists. They were all great, especially Mojca. She was great, she gave us a lot of maps of the city and she told us everything we needed to know about the swimming pools, hotel and sauna area. You don't offten have that kind of check in, that you feel like you are in a five star hotel. The breakfast was really good, the dinner could be better. There should be more options what to eat. The room was also great. We will came again. And if you are looking for a quiet place with a lot of spa pleasure, this is the right place to go.

We spent a wonderful long family weekend in Ajda. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is delicious with a great variety and selection to choose from. We spent our days in the pools and saunas, and enjoyed every minute of it.
Ajda is beautifully renovated, and the only thing missing is evening entertaiment – Taverna was open only on Friday, and game room was also closed this time.
Never the less we will definitly come back.

We have just arrived at the hotel and it seems like we are back in the eighties.
1. First of all, the hotel is under renovation, we made a reservation via booking.com and no one informed us about it.
2. The pictures of the rooms and the hotel are not related to the hotel and mainly belong to Terme 3000, the water park.
3. Everything is not look good, it looks neglected and dirty, and there are no electrical outlets near the bed. There are cobwebs in the corners and on the ceiling.
4. The balcony has no privacy and is outdated.
I asked in advance for a high floor and a view, and although they approved my request, we got a room on the first floor.
Avoid coming here!

Dear Mrs. Luban. Thank you for visiting our Hotel Ajda**** and your review. We are aware that facilities visited by a large number of guests show damage more quickly, which we eliminate as much as possible. We believe that the expectations and taste of our guests are very different, so we will continue to upgrade on our services. We regret that you were not satisfied with cleanliness. All surfaces in the hotel are cleaned according to the hotel standard. We agree with you that cleanliness is the most important element for the well-being of all of us. We will also pass on your comments to the cleaning staff. Part of the hotel is closed. We restore balconies, facades and replace windows. We have information about the restoration on the website. I am glad that I was able to meet you and that I personally apologized to you at the hotel. We regret that we didn’t meet your expectations. In our hotel Ajda we get a lot of positive comments from our guests. We respect your opinion and thank you for it. We hope to welcome you back soon to restore your confidence in us and until then I send you my best regards. Tanja Husar, Accommodation manager

we had prebooked that hotel for one night on our way thru austria to the croatian seaside.
we did want to explore also the possibility to stay in that hotel sometimes longer and then to use the healthy spa and wellness.

we do have a little dog (pudel) and when booking the hotel i did mention that.
the answer was, that the dog isn't allowed to the breakfast (restaurant) but else OK.

at the day of arrival we had some sighseeing before and thus arrived late after 5 pm.
unpacking the belongings i left my wife, our dog and the belongings in the lobby and parked the car.

parking took a bit of time.
my wife did not want to wait and tried to check in.
when watching her passport, the receptionist started to complain about our dog.
why not before ?
is it, because my wife is originally born in croatia before having the german citizenship ?

the final decision from the receptionist was, that dogs are not allowed in the hotel.
my word about about the ealier confirmation from the hotel (with mentioned imitations about the restaurant) didn't help.

after some phonecalls a manager appeared proposing a compromise to stay in some outside bungalow.

by that time our patience was gone, and i asked to cancel the stay and to give me a confirmation.
the answer of being not able to confirm the cancellation was another piece to my impression about the poor service of the hotel.

cannot recommend to stay there.
can't believe in the wellness effect after such experience.
