Travelers' Choice
In Santorini, the island of never-ending blue and the 4,000 years of civilization that provide an almost metaphysical aspect, in a unique atmosphere full of contrasts and mystery, full of images provoking the strongest of feelings, next to the picturesque village of Vlychada and just a few metres away from the black beach of Perivolos, inspired by the traditional Cycladean architecture, lies the brand new Sea Sound - White Katikies, a complex of luxurious residences and suites.

I stayed in this hotel with my friend for a week. We had absolutely amazing time. The place is absolutely clean, looks fresh and beautiful. The small team of the core staff do their best to make your stay comfortable, happy and worthwhile. It’s not a buffet style food place. Instead, they have a set menu for each day. You can choose if you would like to have lunch or dinner. If you don’t like the option of the food, they offer you something instead of that or you can choose from a la carte menu (extra cost). The food is cooked beautifully, absolutely delicious and fresh. I would like to say a big thank you to the whole team. Thank you Katerina, Effi, Kovanis, Suzanna, Theoni, Ian and off course Anna who owns this fabulous place.

Everything about our stay here was amazing. The room, the food, the staff (like friends). Sea Sound is a beautiful resort at the far end of Santorini Island. We had a room with patio, small pool and seaside patio. We could not have asked for anything more spectacular. A Primo room. The food served on a beautiful outdoor covered or uncovered patio was well served and always delicious. There was also a bar and a happy hour. The staff, Katarina, Kristina, Seraphin and more were all absolutely lovely and super helpful. I do suggest that if you want to snoop around the island and visit some of the many quaint little villages having a car is the way to go. We rented a car that we picked up and dropped off at the Airport. Not very expensive and so nice to be able to get around without having to wait for transfers that will end up costing the same in the long run.

We booked our break here through Travelzoo as we found a good deal. I was a bit worried that the hotel wouldn’t be what we wanted but all of that disappeared as soon as we arrived. We had upgraded our room at the time of booking and to open the door and hear the sea the second we arrived was wonderful. We were 50 metres from the beach and enjoyed every moment there. Perfect position to catch the sunrise every morning and a quick walk around the corner have us a beautiful view of the sunset over the sea every night. We were looked after beautifully by everyone and nothing was too much trouble. As a vegetarian, I was concerned that I would have limited options but the team couldn’t have done more to accommodate me. Our excursions were organised by Efi and everyone was friendly, kind and engaging. We couldn’t have asked for more!

I have just stayed at this hotel with family. We go on holidays abroad regularly and have never experienced such a welcome and personal touch. The hotel is a bit remote but that doesn’t matter as the supermarket will come and pick you up and take you back to the hotel and so will some of the restaurants. The hotel has it’s own part of the beach and it is a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Katarina and Efi looked after us and so did the bar staff. We even got free lifts to busier parts of the island. We were half board and you could choose whether you wanted lunch or dinner. You start with a salad which varied every day then a choice of two mains which changed everyday and then a desert. If you didn’t want any of the mains on offer they were happy to change it for something on their food menu. The cleaners were fab, proper clean throughout every day. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Top tip-bring some closed beach shoes with you as the beach is stoney.

My boyfriend & I stayed here in September 2022. We decided to go for the private pool option which was an incredible luxury & definitely worth it. We had a beautiful view of perissa beach from here. The staff go above & beyond to help. Effi gave us so many recommendations of places to go & things to see and was helpful in organising taxis / transport to and from. Katarina in the restaurant is a lovely woman who always ensured we were well looked after & the bar staff were exceptional who always went above & beyond for all we needed. The location is beautifully quiet & nicely away from the hustle & bustle of perissa or the rest of Santorini. We definitely recommend hiring a quad bike (the company pick you up from the hotel - Effi helped us to organise) located at the end of perissa beach to explore Santorini as it was a great way to get around. We loved Santorini and this hotel a lot! Only downside is the bathroom has a window to the room, so not too private.

Beautiful little hotel where the service is second to none. From the manager and chefs to the bar and waiting staff, the pool guy and the super friendly kind cleaners. Everyone does a great job. The food is excellent and we had some of our very best meals there. It’s s quiet place off of the beaten track but if you like to walk or are planning on getting a quad/car this is a great base. It’s just a 20 min drive to Fira, 25 to the airport and 35 to Oia. We actually spent a lot of time walking direct from the hotel, if you go along the beach left it’s just 15 minute walk to Perivolos where there is a hug range of restaurants and bars to choose from. The grounds of the hotel are simple but everything is super clean and well looked after, we had a room overlooking the beach with its own mini pool. It was kept immaculately clean by the lovely cleaning lady and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you want a quiet base for a romantic week away

If you want to book the room White Katikia, check FIRST with the hotel whether it's one of the original White Katikia rooms or one of the new ones. If the latter, don't book it!! The one we got was nothing, I mean NOTHING, like the photos, and there was no way in the world that it was worth what we paid. A terrible start to our holiday. The receptionist was extremely helpful with our problem, and so I can only say good things about her. But be warned about the room. I did not see any of the original White Katikia rooms, as they were all in use, so I can't comment on whether they match the photos or not, I just know that the new ones definitely don't.

Firstly the hotel complex is tidy and the apartment is clean and cleaned daily. The staff are so lovely, super helpful. We arrived at midnight and there was someone on the end of the phone who came quickly to take us to our room. The bar staff and great, helpful and polite. Accommodation...although we opted for self catering we couldn't really cook anything. There is a fridge, 2 ring hob and a kettle. Not enough pans, cutlery etc. We have ended up eating out mostly and it is quite costly, around 15 euros for a main. Drinks are pricey too. Location is ok but you need a car for definite. Outside the hotel it is a bit scruffy looking, not quite the santorini image we had in our heads. Go to Thira for that. Otherwise santorini is just like any other Greek island . The positive about the hotel is that it is peaceful and chilled and any drives out to the other end are 45mins max. Thira is about 30 mins. The next beach complex has water sports and bars its a 10min beach walk, if you can handle black sand, or a 3 min drive. I'd recommend Perissa to eat out, a little further up, 20 min drive. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The pool area is lovely, not a crazy rush for beds and they are proper padded seat loungers. Pool towels are provided. There are also some beds on the private beach but sand is rocky and boiling. All in all we have had a lovely week here and can't fault the hotel and staff at all.
