This is the forth visit we have made to Anaterve over the last 8 years. We love it there and will stay for a couple of nights before heading to other parts of the island. Herman and Amala are warm and welcoming. The rooms are simple but comfortable and lovely, and have wonderful views across the sweet town of Vallehermoso.... More

We have just finished a great week at the hotel. It was a lovely place, very relaxed with beautiful views all around. The apartment was really well designed and in excellent condition with everything we needed throughout. The owners, Herman and Amala worked really hard to provide a high quality service for all their guests and Amala's cooking was excellent.... More

We spent 4 nights at this B&B in December. Amala and Herman are great hosts, very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. Their property is beautifully restored and commands a great position above the picturesque village of Vallehermoso. Our room (we had one of the suites) was comfortable and spacious, with great views and a small private terrace where we... More

Little weird experience I have from this place. May be related to my special requirements with respect to food and too many questions asked or that I am not just a simple standard traveller. Overall it's a lovely place (more a mansion than a hotel) run by a dutch couple, very nicely renovated and well kept, clean, quiet. Little difficult... More

Small hotel in an old house tastefully refurbished. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The place is in a commanding position above the town without being more than 5 minutes walk from the main square and the (few) restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay even if it wasn't for more than a night as were on a hike around... More

We stayed for five nights and we're very impressed by our hosts' friendliness and professionalism. This is a relaxed, well run hotel within walking distance of a few shops and restaurants. Herman and Amara made us feel very welcome, and we loved the vegetarian evening meals and breakfast in the dining room with a lovely log fire. We had a... More

We stayed 10 nights here and could happily have stayed longer. We loved everything about the place. Vallehermoso itself is so picturesque and not touristy at all. Herman and Amala are really lovely people who do everything to make your stay relaxing and special. Their two cats also made us feel right at home. There is a beautiful garden with... More

We stayed 3 nights - our final destination on a weeks walking holiday on La Gomera. It was fabulous accommodation, spacious, full of character set in a spectacular setting and good value. The small number of rooms made for an intimate atmosphere, Herman and Amala were always willing to assist when asked and never intrusive. All the superlatives written by... More

Stayed for 5 nights as a base for walking. Everything was great. Great hosts, nice room (ensuite double), excellent breakfasts and dinners (not sat or wed), great advice for walks many straight from the hotel. Vallehermoso is a lovely, non touristy town in a lovely setting with nice bars and eateries. Would highly recommend

I stayed here with my daughter for six nights in early March. We saw it advertised in "The Vegetarian" magazine and the tripadvisor reviews were good. We both needed some winter sunshine, good walking, peace and quiet, vegetarian food and a beautiful location. Hotel Anaterve ticked all of these boxes - apart from not much sunshine for a couple of... More
