Myself, wife and daughter (11yrs) live in HCMC as expats, and we are less than 1hr away by plane, making this a quick weekend getaway, which was purchased as a birthday gift for my wife. We shared an ocean view duplex pool villa. The island of Con Dao is paradise... The hotel is located in its own bay on a private beach. The view from every villa is towards the ocean and is indescribably beautiful. Behind the hotel is a national park. The secluded location is perfect for those seeking peace and quite. When staying anywhere at this price range, we expect the soft product to also be exceptional (or at least not be bad). Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The staff do work super hard but many didn't seem to have luxury hotel experience and some did not have any hotel experience at all. It seemed that we attended the hotel during a soft-opening: with most of the team still needing to finalize their training. This is August 2022 (post-Covid) after all... Each of the issues, individually, would not have impacted our stay. But we experienced multiple & repeated issues, that together, impacted on our stay in a negative way. We provided detailed feedback to the general manager, hoping that him and his leadership are able to right the ship. Overall, we would eventually like to return when the soft product is fixed. However, as it stands, it's difficult to even recommend this hotel to friends.…
Located along a pristine private beach with crystal clear waters and surrounded by one of the most well-preserved nature in Vietnam, it’s the perfect weekend retreat! Amazing breakfast buffet (Vietnamese Sticky Rice, Pork Noodle Soup and Pate Chaud were my favorites!) and food options throughout the day, made from the freshest, locally-grown, organic ingredients. We went for a two hour hike through Con Dao National Park nearby the resort. Our tour guide, NB, attentively guided us through the challenging trail. The view overlooking the resort and sea, at 145m above sea level, was breathtaking!
We stayed at the Six Senses Con Dao as part of my wife’s 30th Birthday – it was a phenomenal stay with the staff going beyond and above every expectation, but also the overall facilities and villas supported this impression! The Six Senses is a must-do for any hotel enthusiast, who love great service, high quality of food, privacy but also the nature. Villas: The villas are very spacious, with a lot of storage opportunities, a private pool and a very comfortable bed. Each Villa has a very nice view on the sea, and can be reached by walking, bicycle or caddie. In case you have any preferences for the room (e.g. pillow, amenities) you have the possibility to order anything Food: There are multiple restaurants and bars available, however you can also mix orders. The Vietnamese food is very delicious, and especially the fresh herbs from the own garden make a great combination. The restaurant by the sea is offering more western cuisine, but also on a very high quality. The drinks in the bar are fantastic, and also very creative! Highlight for sure is a massive breakfast buffet, with the option to extend your preference with additional orders. Activities: Beside enjoying the private pool, you can swim in the sea (and use the different gadgets such as body board), you can do a cooking class or take a spa-treatment. All activities we did were a true adventure (in a good way), and we had our pleasure! Guest Experience Manager: Our GEM, Ms. Lai was highly professional and made at every second of our stay sure, that we had a fantastic experience. She was proactive and provided us with relevant insights and information on any activities or upcoming opportunities. Ms. Lai made sure, that my wife was able to celebrate a fantastic birthday, and helped me to arrange all things I asked in advance. While the Six Senses, the food and activities were anyway great, the efforts from Ms. Lai made sure that we had a fantastic stay, and we look forward to return.…
This place has the worst customer service ever! If you have any questions or issues, you’ll be lucky to get help once your trip is over. There are so many other hotels in Con Dao so I encourage you to stay elsewhere. If you are a couple traveling, do not stay here! If you try to stay at Six Senses Con Dao and get overcharged or can’t get help with even the smallest issue do not stay there!
Stayed at Six Senses Con Dao with my girlfriends for the weekend and were very impressed with the impeccable service. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an infinity pool in front of the room and gorgeous views of the beach. The resort activities were fun and exciting, and also something to look forward to when staying at the resort. The food at the restaurant was incredible, the dishes were authentic, tasty and left me craving for more (ate practically all day long).
Great staff, amazing food, breathtaking views. We have stayed at Six Senses Con Dao many times but our most recent stay was the best so far. The food was the best part of it all. Organic vegetables from their lovely gardens. Fresh seafood. The best banh xeo you can find in Vietnam :)
6 senses? more like 8! Best hotel I have ever stayed. Vi was our host, and she was just perfect! Always servicing us and also giving us the space to enjoy our privacy and our villa. The hotel has plenty of water activities by the sea and the pool, and many sports. The restaurant has amazing food, delicious buffet breakfast! The villa was a dream, the private pool + the beautiful sea views, we could see the sunrise in the morning. The hotel also has motorbikes to rent for the day and go to town. PERFECT! worth every penny
I understand that it was post-pandemic and the resort and its staff members were facing a lot of challenges. But with money that we paid (almost 1700 USD for 2 nights), I definitely expected better. The experience was not good from the moment I saw the villa (we booked 3-bedroom beach front villa) with two couples and me. The villa in middle had a really bad bed arrangement where they put the bed at the back and called it kid's room (which was more like a maid's room). I have no idea why they would do that considering the premium value was the beach front. And there were a lot of insect at night. I am definitely not satisfy. Another big no no was they asked about food allergy before the trip and when we arrived, and one of the couple was 5 months pregnant and she couldn't eat seafood. And guess what, one of the set-dinner soup they SERVED her seafood without telling her!!! After a couple of sip, she fell sick and went to the toilet to throw up!!! I couldn't believe this! This is a worst mistake you can make in ANY hotel!!! Six Senses Con Dao was the worst resort experience I ever had!…
