WARNING BED BUGS Please do not book this hotel, the hotel has bed bugs and staff are well aware and are obviously not doing much about it as it’s been a common compliant for months. They were also all over the new towels they put in our room which means they’re being spread completely throughout the place! It’s beyond vile. Please check all websites for reviews before booking as this hotel asked us not to make a negative review & we didn’t see any negative reviews until we went onto other sites. The hotel is run down and isn’t like the photos. By the looks the hotel was well run years ago but has now gone to the dogs. The young lady that works on reception is unprofessional. The room was dirty, the window/door was broken out onto the balcony and the main lock on the main door was also broken. We were put in a room next to a lift and it was very loud throughout the night. The hotel is located way out of the city center so expect to pay €30-40 for an Uber each way, or catch a bus then a team which takes around an hour. We have now been refunded for our stay as we booked through Booking.com and they have refunded us, but that does not cover having to get rid of our clothes, suitcase and bag that we were wearing as to not risk bringing them back home. We had also booked a tour that we had to miss because we needed to check into another hotel. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE.

The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. There is an elevator. The staircase is a bit dirty. The room looks nice and modern as well as the bathroom. The window could only be tilted and not opened completely in our room. The air conditioner was broken and did not turn on. The water in the sink barely drained. We had to remove the stopper to drain it everytime. We borrowed two bikes which is a great service to offer. The first two bikes were broken. On one the lamp was hinged off of the bike. On the other one was not able to change the seat height. In general they did not look very well kept. We were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel for safe keeping after checking out. Overall, it’s an alright hotel. You get what you pay for, but It would be fantastic if everything would be a bit more in shape.

Stayed here fir 3 nights .our first night was spent in a very small room nothing like the deluxe we had paid for.The coffee machine didn’t work. Their staff member couldn’t get it to work either. Plug socket off beside sink in bathroom. Wallpaper peeling in entrance to this block. After this night we complained and were moved to the main block but still a small room. No British tv despite saying it did have. No bulb in bathroom light. Very dark! Steel grey paint everywhere. Very expensive for what we got. No shops around but a couple of cafes where we are. Breakfast good.

We enjoyed our week long stay at Forest Hotel on holiday from Australia. The staff were always friendly. The room was well equipped, modern, quiet and clean. Easy access to city with bus nearby. Nice pizza/pasta shop across road. Would stay there again. Andrew

The room was decently clean, the carpet was very stained and there were a few spots on the bed covers. Drinks at reception were very expensive and I was accused of stealing on my way out. The view out of our room was very nice though and there was a complimentary coffee machine and fridge. A fee things in the room weren’t maintained properly like the toilet flusher almost fell off the wall and the toilet seat was moving around a lot. I did like the location of this hotel though if you use the iAmsterdam City Card, be warned that the buses going to and from this area are not included in it.

I stayed at Amsterdam Forest hotel between July 14-20, 2023 during my attendance at Alzheimer's Association International Conference. The hotel was neat and well kept. The staffs were courteous and friendly. The room facilities were superb and the breakfast was okay. The hotel location allows for easy access to the center city by Bus and metro. Online check in and check out options also made things more easier.

I went there with two colleagues, and we had a great two nights. Everything was modern and clean, especially bath and shower. The hotel is located a little outside the bustling city, but there is a Bus stop near the location and a train stop 15 feet minutes away. The personal is friendly and could help us with questions to local customs etc.

Lots to like about this hotel, which is why we regularly stay at it when we're in Amsterdam. This visit was less successful. I had the sense their maintenance was slipping. The keycard door lock wasn't working so they supplied a key. No big deal. But when the door was closed the 'open door' alarm sounded. Careful closing didn't work. Firm closing didn't work. A firm kick did work. Not the best ritual. And then the double lock flopped uselessly. On my third day the manager did come, installed a new battery in the lock, put a new plate on the door, and all was great. But three days? The coffee maker didn't work either. I managed a cup, and then discovered the water reservoir was leaking. That never did get fixed., despite some poking by the manager after he'd fixed the lock. He produced a cup of coffee too, and pronounced success. After he left I discovered leaking water flowing into my suitcase and the floor. Deep sigh. Other bits throughout the place seemed worn. One piece of the elevator paneling was warping off. Carpets were scuffed, paint chipped. The good: the staff are good to great. Kudo's to the breakfast lady on May 31 - remembered us and greeted us warmly. Such a good feeling! Managers ranged from very helpful to less interested. Our room cleaner was great. And as always the breakfast wonderful. We'll stay again, but we are hoping for improvements.

A nice small Hotel close to Amsterdam Bos. Great breakfast not to crowded. The staff were helpful and service minded. A special thx to the breakfast crew. On the downside, the room was small and the hotel didn’t have a veranda in the garden where to sit. Good transport opportunities with bus stop only 160 meters from the hotel.
