We stayed here for 3 nights and it was lovely, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is nice and quiet away from liveliness of the centre, just a short bus journey to the station and then hop on the metro for a 5 min journey to centraal station. The rooms were clean and tidy, we didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food but we would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for one night (2 persons). Good location in Amstelveen not far from the VU and the Amsterdamse Bos, a little outside of Amsterdam but with a good connection to everything. We had reserved a parking spot on the hotel's terrain for only 10 euros a day, which was perfect. Friendly reception (open all night), nice spacy room with blackout curtains and most importantly, very comfy beds (soft but firm).
A cozy and calm hotel, stayed for four nights. A bit farther away from the Amsterdam city centre, but that was only good in my opinion, since the city has a bit too much hustle and bustle for my liking. As a light sleeper easily waken up by sunlight, I slept well in the dim room. The dim lightning can be a bit hard to see in during the daytime, though. The bed was very comfortable and the nespresso machine was in heavy use. Unfortunately the other furniture was a bit tired and the bathroom had a bad smell. The staff was friendly and the bike rental possibility very good, since you have to travel ~5km to the Amsterdam attractions. I recommend a visit to the Amsterdamse Bos near the hotel! Lovely and fresh.
!! Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at this hotel. They stole cash from my room, from my bag. A loot!!! As soon as I noticed I told the hotel manager but his attitude towards me was unacceptable. He did not try to help me in any way and I had the feeling that he doesn't believe me. His response was: "If you don't have proof I cannot do anything, if you like you can call the Police". I filed a complain with the police, hopefully it will be solved. After this terrible experience I modified my check out date to leave earlier. I did not feel safe or comfortable in my room anymore. The manager refused to pay me the refund for the remaining days even though he accepted to change the check out day and confirmed to Booking.com that they can change it! Overall a very unpleasant stay. The room was OK as on the pictures but the staff's behavior ruined my stay.…
This is the nicest hotel I've stayed at for a long time. I loved the location, especially since it's near Amsterdam Bos and has easy access to public transport. The walk from the hotel to the city center is quite pleasant, but definitely only something to do if you love walking.
The staff is professional and helpful, especially credit due the person managing the breakfasts. He’s superb! The room itself was okay. Albeit the ‘sound proof’ features that were advertised, simply didnt exist; relatively thin walls, certain sounds from other rooms can be heard, etc. Its good value for money, you get what you pay for.
The hotel itself is nice, with modern furniture and spaces. The room on the backside was silent keeping the window closed. The expresso machine was much appreciated. However, service is where the hotel underperforms and completely doesn’t meet expectations. First, upon our arrival in the evening, the man at the reception was indifferent at best, irritated at worst, the why-are-you-here-bothering-me type which does not bode well with customers welcoming. Second, room cleaning was a Z-level one, should rather call it do-it-yourself: room was not done one day, coffee cups not washed 3 out of 5 days, and the wc not properly cleaned on the upper borders, emanating a persistent nasty urine smell. We had to signal these points, but except for the room making, no improvements. Given we paid almost 500€ for 5 nights, the hotel was clearly not up to its claimed standing, and we were not offered any kind of compensation for these disagreements.…
Decent room space, well maintained and in a good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Mini bar available 24/7 and bikes to rent at the reception for a very good price. Overall, quite a good value for money.
My stay at this small, quaint hotel was absolutely lovely! The room was just exactly what I needed for nighttime rest while being out and about the beautiful Amstelveen community. Walking distance to family, groceries, bakeries and restaurants. Just a perfect place to stay. Staff was friendly, helpful and kind. Recommend it with as many stars as possible!
