Quietly located boutique hotel, room name Narcis with all comfort and spacious terrace, a walk-in shower, parquet floor, sockets next to the bed, sofa and desk, coffee-tea facilities, delicious breakfast served at the table, can ask for extra coffee, bread and eggs . The hotel is easily accessible by bus 300 line Amsterdam Schiphol to Bijlmer Arena, get off at Amstelveen bus station, about 12 minutes on foot via bridge under the highway and street on the right next to the water. We stayed at the hotel for the Zigodome evening, the Great Eurovision Song Contest party, and arrived there by train around 11:30 am. It was taken into account that the room was ready and that we did not have to come back from a day trip to Amsterdam to check in. Super thanks! Great hotel.

Stayed here with my wife for 4 nights. Not to far from the airport and there are tram stops around 10 mins walk away into Amsterdam centre. Staff were helpful and the place was very clean. In a nice quiet area with a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would stay here again

I had a wonderful stay at Alp de Veenen Boutique Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. My room was beautifully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was a highlight, with a fantastic shower that was perfect for relaxing after a long day.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, so I was able to get a great night's sleep without any disturbances. The breakfast was delicious and they even offered packed lunches for guests on the go. Overall, I highly recommend Alp de Veenen Boutique Hotel for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The location is pretty enough in a residential area next to a canal, when I checked on parking they said there is plenty of on-street parking. We arrived to find the street dug up and only 5 parking spaces at the hotel.
We had booked online and knew we had to pay the bed tax on arrival, our UK bank cards didn't work so cash it was.
We climbed the 2 flights of stained carpeted stairs with equally stained walls and scraped bannisters. The room was warm and the bed well made, tea and coffee was available to make and a large Samsung TV hung on the wall.
Having been told the hotel restaurant was not open on a Friday night we got pizza and headed back to the room to watch some TV and relax, sadly the TV did not work and when I complained they said they would call the TV people who would fix it remotely, after 30 minutes it still didn't work, another trip down the grubby stairs to complain. I was told again a call would be made but no idea when a repair might occur and no chance to change room, we were given 2 Cokes to help us wait for the non existent remote repair that never happened.
After a quiet night in with our pizza we rose to find an inch of water in the bath where it dropped all night and housekeeping had helpfully left the plug closed. The towel rail is in the shower area so after moving all the towels I got the shower working. The first thing I noticed was the tepid temperature and low pressure, the second thing I found was when I took the shower head from the cradle and water went shooting out at right angles, turns out the lack of pressure was due to the split hose.
Breakfast was as disjointed as the hotel in general, we asked for tea and got a pot of hot water and 5 minutes later a choice of teabag to put in it, who needs boiling water to make good tea anyway and not even any milk! We were asked how we wanted our eggs when we both said two fried eggs please the looked as if we had asked for a fillet steak for breakfast.
All in all not what we hoped for, there were other things like mold round the bath a wallpaper peeling off the walls. Clearly a couple of years ago this could have been a nice place to stay but not so much now sadly.

We didn’t want to stay in the heart of Amsterdam itself so booked here. I’m so glad we did. Situated just in the outskirts in a lovely quiet town. We were still very near to the bus station to get us into Amsterdam. It took approximately 20mins. There are also shops and restaurants near the hotel. We are in the local Cantonese which I highly recommend! The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The room we stayed in was on the first floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the canal. Both my husband and I had wonderful nights sleep as it was so quiet. Toiletries and coffee are also supplied. Breakfast is fresh and filling.

I have slept in this lovely boutique hotel for one night . The room was really spacious and very clean, the same for the bathroom. We had a very good breakfast and che check in and checkout were super easy. Staff was very friendly and the location was perfect for us. In the relaxing outskirts of Amsterdam , by bike it’s only 15 minutes to the center. Very close to the bus which will take you everywhere. Nearby there are supermarkets and restaurant, a nice lake where you can enjoy a good walk. I will surely come back and recommend it.

Is this a 4 star hotel? Not really. What's good about it? The location is ok, near Amsterdam. Public transport to the city is convenient. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is decent.
But: the double room was tiny, dark, and badly in need of redecoration. The wardrobe is small, so you can't unpack your luggage. The walls are thin, which makes you hope for quiet neighbors. The free wireless access works only on the ground floor, not in the room. The room TV has a limited selection. The bar TV was out of order (so I couldn't watch the football match.) The parking area is small: when the house is full, you may not find parking space. I consider the previous praises by other reviewers a little suspicious. The price/ performance ratio is disappointing.

Hotel with perfect location for a visit to Amsterdam and Amstelveen. We stayed for 5 nights at Alp de Veenen in september, for a visit to Amsterdam. The location of the hotel, 5 minutes walk from Amstelveen Busstation, was perfect. With the 300-bus from and to Schipol, for 4 Euro each way. For going in to the city of Amsterdam, there was busses available all day, with max 5 minutes waiting time (Line 170, 172 and 174) Only 4 Euro pr person each way. It took from 20 to 35 minutes, depending on what time of day it was.
The hotel was small, but clean, cosy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast was every morning a faboulus start of the day. The selection of bread and "spreads" was very good. And with fresh croissants and chocolate-brioche to the coffe, every day was a good day :) We also tried lunch the last day, and were sorry that we didin't do this earlier. Please try the Bitterballen for lunch or snack!! We also had dinner there one evening, and that was the best dinner for the whole trip!!
The surrondings of the hotel is placed in an area of residents (?), with peace and quite in the evenings. The garden of Alp de Veenen is small, but a nice place to have your morning coffe, or just a glas of wine, for relaxing after a long day in museums, art gallerys and pancakehouses.
If you continue to the end of the street (ask in the reception) there is an amazing chineese restaurant, with superb food and service. The kitchen of Alp de Veenen is closed in weekends, so they guided us to the best restaurants in Amstelveen. Try the Chineese!!
We also found the shopping Mall of Amstelveen, behind the bus station. Many nice cafes and restaurants, and a wide variety of shops. If you can't find it here, you don't need it....
Next time we are going to Amsterdam, we will stay at Alp de Veenen - our best recommandations to this pearl.

I was expecting a family hotel and it's been sold like that but it's not what I've been told at all! The food was ok but the kitchen couldn't cope with a full hotel! The manager smokes inside the hotel so the whole place smells of cigarretes! The towels are so old and small! Well hope they can bring it back to what I was told!

We chose the hotel to stay for the night, far enough from the airport to experience life in the suburbs of Amsterdam. Situated on a canal and within walking distance to the historic downtown area of Amstelveen, I would choose the hotel again. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a feast. They kindly organized a taxi for us to the airport and gave us much needed and helpful advise for our visit to Amsterdam, later.
