We held the Annual Trafalagar Night Dinner for the Royal Naval Association in the function room of the Black Bull. I can't thank Lorelle and her staff enough for making our night one of the best ever. Nothing was too much trouble and although one of our speakers over ran slightly there flexibility was catered for. The Chef Simon assisted... More

Was in the area on a quiet Tues lunchtime and made the very good decision to eat at the black bull. Very friendly service in a nice old pub. Food 1st class. I went for the monkfish special which was perfectly cooked in a fantastic red pepper sauce and my vegetarian other half declared their lasagne 'probably the best I've... More

We went to this hostelry for a birthday meal on a Monday evening. The restaurant was not busy and service was consequently prompt and attentive. The Starters of Temura Prawns and Jerk Chicken and Pineapple were served promptly and very very good. The mains of Gammon Steak And Lamb were again served promptly and again were cooked exceedingly well. Both... More

The Bull used to be a regular haunt of ours when racing at Huntingdon or Newmarket but it badly lost its' way some years ago. We heard things were on the mend so we decided to give it another whirl. Most things were positive. The rooms have been refurbished and ours was clean and comfortable. Every member of staff we interacted... More

What do I mean by why the green lights. The refurbished bedrooms are quite nice but the positioning of an emergency lighting unit in the bedroom baffles me. The whole of the bedroom is bathed in a green light which even when the main lights are off you could virtually read by. The bedroom in question is bedroom 5. I... More
