We came for steak night and it was lush. I normally go for medium rare but if it comes as a medium I'm not fussed. It was a little bit chewy but my partners was perfect. The warm bread is a lovely touch. Definitely recommend

Stayed one night on business. Decent sized room, although no plug sockets near desk/dressing table and slightly noisy fan in bathroom. Wifi rather slow. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptionally good and reasonably priced too (and with a two for one offer on main courses would be fantastic value for a couple). However the breakfast was not worth offering -...

I stayed for one night at The Black Bull with a work colleague prior to a local business exhibition. We checked in shortly after opening and were welcomed with a smile by the young lady working behind the bar. She showed us up to our rooms which were clean and a good size. We decided to eat in the pub...

I had high hopes as the last time wed visited we were very disappointed but unfortunately we weren't blown away as it still smelt of toilet blocks as soon as we entered and the beer was flat. Shame as it has such potential.

Came here for a late lunch early evening meal !..... they serve their Sunday roast until 8pm. Plenty of parking and we could bring our dog (dogs are welcome in the top bar ) . Food was good the girl behind the bar was flexible with the menu and the food was served with a smile. Worth a visit !

Probably had a meal here 10 years ago and it was not very nice, the staff were surly and the place needed a change. Well the change happened no idea when but it happened and what a difference. We had a mothers day meal ,fixed menu £21.50 which was not only great but served with a smile. We will definitely...

My wife and I called in here for lunch. We had previously called in a couple of weeks earlier for coffee. That's all we bought that evening but the lady behind the bar still appeared grateful for our custom and was pleasant throughout. Because of the enjoyable coffee and service, and because we liked the look of the menu, we...

We just stayed the one night. Room 2 has a double bed with a mattress that could do with a new one but the room was OK. Bathroom small and cramped shower. Breakfast was basic but fine, no trimmings and laid out night before. Beer was good, evening snack fine but pricey. The room has a bright green emergency light...

First visit to this pub and we received a very warm welcome. The pub has a really nice relaxed atmosphere with a gorgeous open fire and pleasant background music. the staff are friendly and efficient and the food was amazing. Will definitely be paying another visit in the not too distant future.
