This small, unpretentious, charming hotel located in a quiet village just outside Bath was the perfect location for a weekend break with old friends. The hosts made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were spotless and contained all we needed. The WiFi worked well in our rooms although getting a phone signal... More

The Old Malt house is really nice bed and breakfast that overlooks meadow with horses. The accommodation was clean and staff were friendly. The restaurant was really good standard along with great breakfast. There was plenty of information guides about things to do in the local area.

Lovely stay. Very quaint. Would stay again although room was very tiny. Don't try and get a big suitcase up the stairs. Food was very nice, all home made. Staff were very accommodating, particularly Jenny. Difficult place to find as the road markings have been covered up.

Settled a 2 night stay at the oldmalthouse after scanning trip advisor which promised a lovely stay. I cannot for the life of me understand the positive reviews here. Should be renamed the very old and tired malt house. First off as you pull in the place looks run down. Pavement leading up to main door full of weeds, paint... More

We stayed here for four days in May. We arrived about 12.30 we knew the room would not be available until 2.30 but were met by the ownerJenny who showed us to the room which was lovely and also drew us a map as to where to go to get lunch in the nearby village which was lovely. The evening... More

Room too small, very clean and tidy but...no where to put bag or to sit other than bed also ensuite very snug. All a bit dated. Breakfast lovely and lovely staff but needs smartening up inside and out. Looks run down as you pull into car park. Grass uncut etc. Slightly off putting.

We've just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable 4 night stay in this small 19th century family run hotel in its rural setting, with very welcoming owner (Jen) and staff (Jenny and Becs). It's a long time that we have stayed in a hotel where we have felt so relaxed from the time we arrived to the time we left. Our... More

We stayed here in room 7 for one night as we had a local wedding. Firstly, due to the time the wedding was we needed to check in a lot earlier than the normal check in time and they allowed us to do this no problem whatsoever which was so useful for us. We booked a taxi from here and... More

My wife and I recently stayed here while in bath. The hotel is located in a very rural and pretty Hamlet just outside Bath surrounded by rolling hills and fields filled with horses, sheep and other livestock. Plenty of parking available and off the road. We were welcomed by Jen who showed us our room and even went as far... More
