This lovely hotel is just beautiful. I booked this through groupon for part of my husbands 40th birthday prezzie! and we were both thrilled with our few days away! The staff are great, so very helpful, always cheerful and service with a smile! Our room was lovely, furnished to a high standard with lots of little extras like, slippers and... More

Our whole family stayed at BLC for a few days last August, there was a wedding and general castling done. The staff is amazing, the chef is superb, the castle is everything we hoped for and much more, the grounds are beyond words. Thanks to the BLC staff for a perfect EVERYTHING.

We decided to visit Bath and wanted to stay on this nice little place. We visited four years ago and were very pleased to see how much it had improved under new ownership. The place was as lovely as before, the rooms were good, we have the terraced room at the top, we used the jacuzzi at the end of... More

This place is fantastic, it is modern, but at the same time classically finished. The staff were fantastic, and wonderfully helpful. The food was excellent with a wonderfully varied menu to please most tastes. It was on the pricey side but worth it. I would 100% recommend for a romantic getaway with out the kids, unfortunately we took ours and... More

We have just arrived home after staying two nights, and loving it so much that despite checking out at 11, returned for afternoon tea before our drive home! The food is home-made and fantastic, the staff are really friendly, there was such a nice atmosphere throughout. Our room was amazing, we stayed in the Warwick room, which has it's own... More

We're from Australia and stayed a couple of nights and the facilities and service made us feel like a lord and lady. Our room was perfect and the food on site was simply superb. Didn't use the hot tub or Gym but they were there if wanted. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. Will visit again if we ever... More

Had a lovely two nights with good food . Made very welcome by the owners and the room was very comfortable. There is a beautiful garden to sit and relax. A lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bath

A friendly welcome was appreciated and knowing my name (proving someone is reading ahead in the bookings) was a bonus touch. Prompt service: tea brought to the outside table, followed by a cake stand with scones, sandwiches and cakes. All seemed homemade and freshly prepared. Very nice sweet treats! If anything, though, the sandwiches were small - slightly bigger ones... More

This would be a 5 star review for afternoon tea but the disappointing attitude of the owner really let down what was otherwise a fantastic meal. The food was lovely, great scones and sandwiches for a reasonable price. The only issue is that I cannot drink caffeine and usually find afternoon tea has an alternative option of something like juice... More

As usual people who have something to gripe about only tell half the story. If you book for afternoon tea and you don't drink tea then you have to pay for another type of drink. Why is it that guests wish to make company policy. We have a company policy and we follow our own policy. Our afternoon tea is... More
