This was a mid range ryokan and is a little weary but the staff are very pleasant and the rooms comfy and spacious. The private onsen need to be booked but the public one is open most of the day. Ureshino is a very quiet place, we hardly saw anyone and many of the shops were closed. But we were...

Booked a triple room for 2 adult and 2 children ( 7 and 10). My 7 years old does not use a bed. Stayed for 3 nights. At the 2nd days, the hotel asked me to pay over $200 for my child and claimed that the room was booked for 2 even the room was list as "triple room". the...

The room was quite large with sliding doors to separate different areas. Even though we slept on futons it was very comfortable. There are private onsens that you can book if you are shy of using the public one.

This is a very traditional Japanese hot-spring hotel run by a Japan family. It somewhat feels like staying in a Japanese home - a very different experience from staying at hotel. Staff are friendly and are willing to help though they usually cannot understand English. There aren't many sightseeing in Ureshino but i feel home at this Ryokan Omuraya and...

We arrived at the hotel late due to the flight delayed. We were greeted by a young Japanese girl who spoken surprisingly good English. It turned out she was the daughter of the owner and had studied abroad. She had made our stay much easier! We chose a room called "Peony - with in-room onsen". It was a great choice....

My boyfriend and me are backpacking. Japan itself is in general really hard on our budget. So we never expected to be able to afford one night in a real ryokan. But we still kept looking for a possibility and tadaa. ... oomuraya offers some simple tatami rooms with an hour in a private onsen, as well as a public...

Clean, Good Price, Sufficient English Speaking, Value for money. I enjoyed the walk surrounding the hotel. Shops are not plenty around the hotel. The environment is good. I would recommend this hotel with practical and leisure. Definitely not a luxury hotel but comfortable and easy. Helpful staff.

I had a room with a river and mountain view which was a welcoming morning sight to each lovely day. The tatami room was large with attached bath and toilet facilities. The in-room green tea leaves were truly good quality and the kaiseki dinner was really the highlight of the day. Each dinner came with a personally managed menu by...

There is absolutely nothing bad about the experience I had here. The business is family run and the staff were very welcoming and hospitable. The hotel is in the perfect location with all kinds of restaurants, retail stores, and markets in a short walking distance. It is a very clean and beautiful hotel which gave me an overall pleasant feeling...

To add, 1 of the room service lady that served us b'fast, speaks little English too. And when we checked out, the sweet lady whom chat with us the night before, left us a note, that's sweet. Oh, her sweet name is Ayako. Thank you Ayako & the team of Ryokan Omuraya.
